First, it was the makeshift oil pan made out of a cardboard box, garbage bag, and masking tape. Then it was the sketchy bike stand which was just a wooden peg. Then we had the funnel which was just a rolled up page from a waste/recycling collection calendar. Now, we have a "lift" made out of a garage beam and a ratchet strap😂👍🏼
Great video! Question for you - I don't have the ability to hang the bike like you do. Any suggestion on another way to suspend the front so I can replace the forks?
Hello! Great video. I unfortunately had an accident and am changing the front forks. Maybe you know? Will the forks from the 2022 model fit the 2018? (CMX500).Thank you
Planning on doing this soon. My only question (and sorry if this sounds stupid).....is it possible to push the fork "too far" when putting it back into position? In other words...how do i re-align both forks correctly before tightening the bolts?

Jesus I thought these had like an opening where you would just put em on and close em and that was it… this is too much 😂
Nah I thought the same thing sadly 💀

You ever figure out if it fits?

The fork should be sticking out a few mm each at the top and exactly even with one another.
Torquing the bolts properly is very important.
Why didn't you just drop both forks together, with the wheel still on?
My torque wrench only has Nm and not foot pounds. Anyone know how to covert? I don't want to over/under tighten!
(Nm) Top bridge pinch bolt 27, bottom 32. Calliper mount bolts 30, Axle 51, axle pinch bolts 20. (from the manual)
