Whew! Scary Larry and Kenton Chen doing Latch on one video!! Be calm my heart! This one needs a review with all the exclamation points. The energy of the opening of this song was just electric - wow, the feel of just waiting to spontaneously combust... and when the vocals came in with a filter EQ, you can just feel the potential for the energy to go through the roof... and sure enough, the filter comes off at 1:25 and the roof is blown off the building, the wild horses are unleashed and thunder out across the open moors. Kenton's freedom with the melody is so worthy of the rest of the musicians in this band. Love Larry's inventiveness with all the parameters of that organ, adapting all the parameters, and the percussionists in this piece...! Such an enjoyable feel. Ok, Imma stop now, go listen again. Life is good :-) Thank you for all you do 'Pockets! You all are truly scary. In the best way possible. I'm back after 2 more listens. There are 1,000 views at the moment, pretty sure this one will be up above a million shortly. One for the ages. What fun :-)
Kenton is such a surprise, and he's so, so good. Not only a great singer, but such a performer. The whole cast is so strong here, and what a great guy to lead the charge.
Everyone is saying how much we love Kenton, but I still feel like he's so underrated ! He just nails it beyond words every single time he opens the mouth...
