Although even banks are not safe but still if you don't loose the actual income from fixed deposit for amounts over 25 lakhs is just 3% per year..
Bcoz from the interest earned government will again deduct 30% income tax even if the amount invested in fixed deposit had already been deducted in income tax..

Skumar jewellers mei my parents invested 60k and got cheated ,he was convincing us to put at least 3 lakhs in the scheme, scheme was alright it promised genuine returns (did not sound like too fancy returns so we trusted ,plus he was a genuine jeweller for our family) but at the end he just said nahi de sakta paisa thank god we didnt invest more
Actually, Prasad Anna 10-12 month install me jewelry buy-sell karna scheme buri nahi hai, bas isko regulatory body me lana hai, aur payment collection "escrow account" type karna hai. Public ka paisa 100% safe.
