    A faster way to make the back is lay 3-4 sticks of glue sticks next to each other between parchment paper and use a clothes iron. Also it should come out smoother.👍

      Gonna be honest, I tried this and it wasn't successful. The rounded tubes make it this difficult and you still need a rolling pin of sorts to make it evenly flat

      Ok. Just make sure the glue is really hot and work fast. Make sure to start discharging the glue, for the side, from under the back piece. The hotter the glue, the smoother the results. You can make the side as thick as you want. The harder your press on it the thinner it will be.

    I love you. I am using a friend's borrowed phone until I either find mine or buy a new one. First of all as I lost my phone in the first place oh, you can probably tell that I am not the most responsible person. I keep worrying about breaking theirs. Oh and just not having a phone again. Going out-of-state tomorrow with someone who get sick sometimes and has to go to the hospital and I was just having horrible fears about breaking the phone when I needed help. And it might seem silly that I don't want to buy a $9 case on the internet not. But not only do I not have time to do that but I'm not the type of person who will return an item in two days after I find my old phone. So seriously this is fabulous and economic and I already have all of the items. Thank you so so so so very much

    I'm liking the concept, however, I believe the execution could've been waayyy smoother&less time consuming. Let me stress the part where I say "I believe" cuz I actually don't know for sure as I've yet to try this out yet and I know all too well how DIY projects can be.. The ideas always seem so solid in my mind but tend to take on a mind of their own once executed.. Usually taking a couple tries for our thought patterns to come together properly lol. With that being said, I'm thinking this was probably your first go at this project, in which case, I think you did a pretty phenomenal job. Although it could've turned out looking a bit better(which I'm sure youd accomplish on your next try) it also could've turned out much, MUCH worse. I'm going to give this a try.. Maybe I'll let you know how it turned out when I'm done... As long as its not a complete fail on my part lol. Thanks!

    • @romierenaeDIY
      @romierenaeDIY  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the feedback. I was trying to figure out the whole process and filming at the same time so it probably shows in the final output. This was also one of my first videos so the editing is a bit off. I'm sure I could have made the video more concise. I'm actually thinking of doing of updated version to see if I can simplify it a bit. Good luck at trying this.

      Also instead of rolling the hot glue with a pin you can just put a couple of glue sticks between parchment paper then use an iron to flatten them.

      Jelly Berry I won't make any claims. However, you can make it as thick as you want. You can also add bumpers which may aid in protecting the phone. Other than that...hey...it's a homemade phone case and it was fun to make ☺

      It takes me about half an hour to make one. On first try it may take longer.

      Is the problem cutting it out? Try using an xacto/box cutter knife.

    how to make a silicone case?
    this one nice, but its very uncomfortable to hold because of the outer edges.

      Sorry. I don't have a video for making a phone case out of silicone. I may do one in the future. You can do a youtube search. Another option is foam sheet. I have a video for making a phone case using foam sheet (halloween). Just check my page if you are interested.

      I might be late, but the parchment paper is one of the few materials that the glue doesn't stick to. If you use plasitic wrap tje glue can melt it and go through the phone.
