I had been waiting for a true deep dive into the 50-Dre-Game saga from some industry insiders for some time and this more than delivered. Y’all shared a lot of my same sentiment. I’ve always felt that Game has no one to blame for his fall out with Dre but him. He never knew to just play his damn position and he could’ve damn well been on the Super Bowl stage. One thing I had to disagree on is where you guys suggested that Dre wouldn’t had kept Game on Aftermath after the 50-Game fallout. He actually did. If you remember the press conference that they held, there was supposed to be a truce and Game remained on Aftermath. But then Game went on that whole G Unot campaign and Dre dropped him. Busta Rhymes actually mentioned it on the Doctors Advocate album. When Dre said leave that beef alone, Game didn’t.

Jimmy Iovine needed him to get an album out so he told 50 help. 50 gave him three songs that were for his Massacre album “How We Do”, “Westside Story”, “Hate It Or Love It”. Before the album was turned in, Kanye helped remake the production for “Dreams”. There you have it 5 million sold. Game could’ve been from Coontrap road in Louisiana and would’ve still sold with those hits.

I had been waiting for a true deep dive into the 50-Dre-Game saga from some industry insiders for some time and this more than delivered. Y’all shared a lot of my same sentiment. I’ve always felt that Game has no one to blame for his fall out with Dre but him. He never knew to just play his damn position and he could’ve damn well been on the Super Bowl stage. One thing I had to disagree on is where you guys suggested that Dre wouldn’t had kept Game on Aftermath after the 50-Game fallout. He actually did. If you remember the press conference that they held, there was supposed to be a truce and Game remained on Aftermath. But then Game went on that whole G Unot campaign and Dre dropped him. Busta Rhymes actually mentioned it on the Doctors Advocate album. When Dre said leave that beef alone, Game didn’t.

Jimmy Iovine needed him to get an album out so he told 50 help. 50 gave him three songs that were for his Massacre album “How We Do”, “Westside Story”, “Hate It Or Love It”. Before the album was turned in, Kanye helped remake the production for “Dreams”. There you have it 5 million sold. Game could’ve been from Coontrap road in Louisiana and would’ve still sold with those hits.
The reason I think Game could feel that way was because he was grateful for his start. But the fact he dropped in career and kanye helped dig him out and forgave him meant more than helping him at just the 1st album. Kanye came when his value was low.

I think the biggest difference between the Eminem/Snoop and 50/Game situation is that Snoop acknowledged he was out of pockets for his comments as far as being disrespectful, Eminem can respect not being in Snoops top 10, but you can be completely dismissive of his work and you have worked together. Ask the DOC about this and how Dr. Dre moves. He’s a guy who is very hands off and unless you are self sufficient, i.e. Ice Cube, Eminem, Snoop, Anderson Paak, you’re gonna be lost and SOL waiting for Dre’s help. I believe Game didn’t understand that quality about Dre and had unrealistic expectations of Dre. He’s definitely disappointed with Dre and Kanye probably did something more direct and tangible.
