I actually hit on these and going to gift them to my brother as a surprise on his birthday. He was so disappointed that he didn't hit. It low key ruined his day. He surprised me with the Space Jams back in the day. So I've always wanted to return the favot, the moment, and the blessing. We're both hard core Kobe fans.

I remember getting the launch colorway of the Kobe 4 back in '09. I really loved that sneaker...would like to get of Kobe 4's again hopefully next year.
Very nice pair for sure🔥🔥! It’s a travesty Nike doesn’t make enough for the people who actually want to wear and enjoy them. For my size, it’ll cost me $450 from a reseller which is a damn shame!!!
To be fair, any Dead stock Kobe is gonna resell for around that price unfortunately. I picked up a pair of DS Kobe 9.. $400 cad. Smh 🤦♂️. Definitely not worth it for a shoe. But it was worth it to me lol

With these and the Reverse Grinches I can give Nike a tiny bit of benefit of the doubt for making them exclusive, cause they're "special" or whatever. But if the Philly 4s that come out later are hard to get then I know this whole Protro shit is a joke. Those kind of colourways used to sit in stores. This whole Protro thing was supposed to be so that everyone can still ball in Kobes but Nikes gonna Nike.

My first SNKRS hit in a long time. Struck out on the reverse grinch twice, still in shock I hit on these. I will definitely ball in them.

@@noxtanagnes I can't speak for KDs as I don't own any of them. I have JA 1s and Giannis Immortality 3s, and the Kobe's fit better than both of those IMO.
Nike gets an "A" for execution on the sneaker but yet again a "D" on release!! MAKE MORE KOBE'S!!!!!!!
Nike gets a long big fat F minus ➖ plus on the release availability of these KB's. Hell I got a rare in depth picture of Gigi with mom Vanessa at Mamba Sports Academy on court playing with my lil cousins and still can't get a blessing from SLIKE, shit just lame asf

I’ve hit twice for Kobe’s on sneakers, first I got the V Chaos then just recently I got the Reverse. I get 10 times more excited unboxing Kobe’s than I do air Jordan’s idk maybe it’s because they don’t release as often. 10/10 for these!
Your knowledge of the history of shoes like these always amazes me. If there is a sneaker museum somewhere, you should be on their board of directors.

1. I got a W on SNKRS for these! First Kobe cop ever, and from the sounds of it, I was really lucky!
2. I was thinking the exact same thing as Chris: these are not only going to be a shoe I wear casually, but this teacher just found his new shoe for parent conferences and other formal occasions! :-)

Shockingly hit for retail on SNKRS. Can't wait to hoop in them. Definitely throwing in some different laces though to give them a pop of color. Maybe the extra red laces from my Grinches. Thanks for the review, btw. I've never had 4s so was happy to hear TTS was the move! 🙌
I come here for on court performance reviews, I am not a sneaker head like some of yall, but this might be the most beautiful shoe I have ever seen. This seriously makes me want to get into collecting shoes (but still using them of course).

They really knocked it out ofthe park with the Kobe 1 protro….and maybe that set the bar too high for them, which is such a cop out. None of the other Kobe releases have truly lived up to the first release. I can understand why this one would be a limited release but why are all the other releases limited too? Just GR Kobes already. On another note, those look clean as hell….absolutely dress shoes , especially since thanks to Cole Haan…..a lot of dress shoes now have the look of a hard bottom but the feel of a sneaker.

Can somebody please explain to me why Nike supposedly doesn’t support the resell market but makes shoes like this so limited. Fine you want to make the Gift of Mamba limited but the Grinch and Reverse Grinch are shoes every sneaker head/ball player wants in their collection. Why won’t they just keep restocking the shoe?

I also got my pair, and one of my co workers got his as well but it apparently included a large poster of each championships that kobe got. Is there a special edition??? He got his pair from new york.
O/7 on this and 0/7 on the reverse 6s. The last Kobe I was able to buy are the Kobe 4 Snakeskin in 2019. I passed on the Kobe V chaos in 2019 thinking the 6s would be next to release in 2020 which is what I've been wanting since I was 18, everyone know what happened next. I hope Nike does something for all the real Kobe/basketball fans who were not able to get his shoes then.

Not the biggest Kobe 4 fan, but these are tough as f*ck...any time you murder out a Kobe, it's gonna be a banger...mine arrived yesterday and I love em...top 5 shoe of the year for me.

They dont necessarily need heat for that pattern they can press the sued and it will mash the fibers together into a leathery gloss. However, kinda hard to tell what technique they used
They use heat during the moulding process to ensure the design stays within the materials. They've been doing this with footwear for decades with shoes like the Air Jordan 6 and 8 rear panels and ever heel counter gets heat pressed for its shape. Not only do they need heat, but they use it almost 100% of the time.
