This means so much to me! I've been learning from you for years and it’s your Arum, Arisaema and Amorphophallus info that first got me going with Hardy Aroids!
@@GardeningatDouentza I used to work in Dublin and had a house in Blackrock and I made a note that if my travels passed your way I'd pester you for a peak into your lovely garden :) Brexit pretty much messed that little idea as I don’t get to work over there as much sadly.
@@GardeningatDouentza i’ll make that happen in 2024 for sure!!! I miss Ireland so much. I'm in the movie business and so much happens over there in Dubln, Bray, Galway I can always find reasons to make a trip ;)
Wow December came quicker than expected! All my Sauromatum and Amorpgophallus are down for the winter now so I thought I'd do a little video on the Aroid dormancy cycle
Fantastic video for us new aroid growers! Last year i was growing sarumatum in too big of the pots and the one i had in the ground did alot better. It seems that these kind of plants dont have a ton of roots, since they can get rot prone. This year i got 50 konjac tubers for a bargain🤩 i cant wait to start growing these plants. The bulbifers i think need way more heat to get going and some of them had a longer growing season than the saromatums, Keep up the good work.👍
amazing, this year my amorphs have gone crazy. Bulbifer tripled in size and now has a 1kg corm, konjac grew by 10x and both weigh about 400 grams. Hoping next season more amorphs will be on the market since I haven't been able to get many this year, just a plicatus and a titanum
@@aroid_artist oh interesting, is it rot? I've always found bulbifer to be extremely easy. Just in a large pot, 50/50 houseplant compost and perlite in bright indirect light or half sun and lots of fertiliser. had it 3 years now
Awesome stuff again Glen . I love the dormant tubers as much as the growing plants
Thanks mate! You are the one who helped me most getting my Hardy A game on!
A refreshingly informative video. Thank you. Subscribed.

Very nice! Instiggle with Bulbifer. I can get them up but they often fail after the first season.

Anyone growing Sauromarum this season?
