I made blueberry jam (from frozen) three weeks ago for the first time ever. I had never even tasted it before! It is now my family's favorite jam, and I'll be making a 2nd batch next week because the first one is half gone already...lol. Paired with a loaf of fresh homemade bread, it is like the best thing ever. I wish we had a blueberry farm nearby, but we don't. I used the less sugar recipe on the sheet that comes in the Sure-Jell package, but I'm excited to try your recipe for the next batch. Thanks for the video, Leisa!

My favorite blueberry jam is plain, just like how you made it today. But for a variation I did a blueberry, cranberry, strawberry mix. 4 cups blueberries, 4 cups strawberries and 2 cups cranberries. It was awesome and had just a bit of tartness from the cranberry.

It was messy and I'm regretting covering my counter with towels. I should have used something disposable.

Those are not wild Maine blueberries! Our beautiful little purple gems that even go into Betty crocker blueberry muffin mix. I never did like the bigger berries very much but I wouldn't turn them down either! I have memories of blueberrying with my grandmother and my mother with a rake sitting on the ground and raking up the little blueberries! It was such an enjoyable thing to be there three generations. :-). We went every year until my grandmother passed away when I was 10 years old. I learned almost everything from my nanny and that 10 years was worth 35! Every year she draws closer and closer to me. My dad was my hero and my nanny was everything female to me. My mother was a malignant narcissist who took chunks out of us with her mouth and my brother committed suicide in 2004 because he couldn't handle her and I said bye golly I'm going to outlive her and I did! :-)

Hi dear, I would like to ask a question about toum, at first it came out great, mayonnaise consistency and texture, but then after a day or 2 , the oil (I used sunflower Oil) separated!! Although the taste is still good, I can’t help not liking the look and consequently the texture. Any suggestions? My daughter claims that separation is due to the blades of my food processor, I used a 6 cups kitchen aid food processor, could it be? Do you think the VitMix blender is better? Please help! I love your videos! Much love and thank you

    • @jessicaeiss2541

the excess foam is from the high speed whizzing of the blades at a fast speed. The Vitamix would make even more. Why did you use oil? As a replacement for the butter which can be used to reduce foam?
