Love how you use small amounts of Cerakote 10-15 mils, I went back to cerakote for advanced training back in January, and they we’re having me mix 40-70 mils, and pouring out most of it. I do the same thing. I have some small graduated cylinders (5 mil) I use all the time. Great work, I’m a subscriber
Fantastic series so far. What I’m most interested about here is: you lay down desert verde, tack it out, then blue, tack out, then red, tack out. I would have thought by the time you got to the ‘mud/black mix’ that the desert verde would be way beyond tacked out and this you’d start to have adhesion problems? Is this not the case? Said another way: how ‘cured’ can a color get before you start to have adhesion problems with a subsequent layer added on? Bonus question: after using your hands with stencils, are you wiping it with a solvent to remove any finger oils?
I've seen many American flag and distressed Cerkote jobs, this is up there with the very best!!!
Thanks for the tutorial. Flags have been really giving me a hard time. I think your videos really help understand the process.
Glad we could help!
We just released a more in depth video on flags, th-cam.com/video/zsplXsJmjOI/w-d-xo.html
