There are ways you can resist a faulty defense but in my training we were taught to go with the defense. But everything is supposed to go a certain way - the way you attack and respond to the defense. It’s good for principles and self defense but not fight a trained opponent in a “ready set go” battle. It’s almost like you have to be doing nothing but responding to one attack. Higher training gives you more adaptability but it looks like it takes many many years before you can truly be effective in all shituations…
Very good and sincere attacks of Uke allows his master to make a true perfect demonstration without concession to spectacular effects.
