    ___________________________________
    Former Hot Boys rapper Turk sat down with VladTV to detail his time with Cash Money, including B.G. catching on fire during the "We on Fire" music video. He explained that they were warned not to do any drugs beforehand, but Turk says he and B.G. ignored the warning. Turk says B.G. was wearing fire-proof gloves, but his clothing started catching on fire, and he had to be extinguished on set, which angered Birdman.
    During the conversation, Turk also addressed Dizzy Wright questioning if Juvenile was the first mumble rapper, and you can hear more of what the Louisiana rapper had to say in the above clip.

    Juvenile had "Grown Man Bars" period. He spoke that street shit in a grown mans fashion. Plus the way he rapped, he incorporated the South Louisiana dialect into it. I remember being in high school and females use to walk around quoting Juvies lyrics. That's how special the dudes flow was!

    B.G. was the attraction because he spoke for the streets to just be a 15 and 16 year old. Juvenile stood out by his voice and indifferent song making.

      Everyone on No Limit got paid...10 times over. Silk even went into retirement in his 20's. Niggas still ain't get paid for shit they did back then on Cash Money. The real reason why most No Limit rappers are not heard about anymore, is because they got paid and we t onto new ventures. Cash Money seemed to be winning over No Limit commercially, but everyone knows the Tank was first, on the strength of Master P. Snoop still praises him to this day.

      KiD 504# since 400 degrees which changed hip hop forever and ever since anit nobody stop balling and being overly flashy. Yes your right has is super lyrical and my favorite new York mc ever. But u should really listen at juvenile it's his voice that make it seems like he isn't spitting straight bars but if u can decipher the accent it's straight fire bars underneath it all. Just go listen to Ghetto Children (400 degrees) The Man (g code) and tell me that at lyricism. And just to name two of very many lyrical onslots.

    • @kid5042
      @kid5042 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @nf4866
      @nf4866 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you think juvie can't spit then you never listened to beast mode. All of cash money was kind of mediocre when they first came out, but all the them have gotten way better. Of course they aren't on the new York rappity rap type stuff because that's not their culture (except Wayne is pretty close nowadays) but as far as New Orleans rap goes, they get more and more lyrical every album.

    I usually don’t always agree with Turk, but he speaking nothing but the truth here. Anybody who know anything about Juve knows that his drawl and slang is what makes his music so special. I know it’s the truth bc I been saying the same thing about Juve to myself before even watching this interview. Classic Juve is hard to top. He’s actually in my top 5 just off the early shit he did. Soulja Rags was just as good as 400. And G-Code was hard too. That’s three albums that u can let ride straight through... That’s rare in any era. But yea wat made Juve so special is that he would say shit other people wouldn’t even say or THINK to say. His accent and slang and drawl was on some other shit which really was just icing on the cake. Juve is far from mumble rap. I tell u what. I can recite 400 degreez lyric for lyric. But when it comes to Soulja Rags I can’t no matter how many times I listen to it. It’s like with Twista... U can hear every word he say but u can’t say the shit yourself. Same with Playa Fly. Vlad it just sound like u research this shit but really wasn’t in tune. And not being in tune is still not an excuse bc I really wasnt up on hot boys like that when they first hit. I knew I fucked with Juve but I didn’t get my hands on a album til bout a yr after ha video. B.G. was actually the only Cash Money album I bought and that was Chopper City in The Ghetto. I’m saying that to say after years passed, I went back and listened to almost ALL the old cash money. And it’s undeniable that Juve is a definite SPITTER. There’s no way that u could not notice that after listening to him. That’s why I say not being in tune at the times of the hot boy days is not an excuse. But I still preshate some of the interviews though but come on vlad ain’t no way u actually listening to everybody shit anyway and having a fair analysis of it bc that’s part of being a fan. U gravitate to the shit that u fuck with the most. The shit u feel. And that’s cool but if that’s the case, SAY THAT. And stop trying to act like u.... fuck it.. do ya thang. 😂

    Turk so accurate about juvenile like 20 years later I still go back to listen to juve cause he really was teaching especially about the streets & hood life if u understand him.... even know how u should conduct yourself what u should go for & shouldn't go for like turk said he was ahead of his time cause he basically was talking to u in a rap form & sometimes would be melodic back then....
