I like how Chris really meets people where they're at. When he realizes some questions might be too complex ("Can you say that again I can't hear you?") he rephrases in a more simple way. If that doesn't work he doesn't push it and make her feel bad, he just goes with what she's interested in. I've noticed this in other interviews too. He may go in with a set of questions in mind but he is flexible and lets the interviewee lead. Truly living in the moment. Ashleigh was a joy!! Thanks for sharing her light and spirit with the world :)
Chris is totally a gift to these families, and not only because he gives them a well deserved ability to be seen and heard (which he does better than anyone i can think of), but also because he brings so much joy to the days of the people he interviews. He makes them feel liked and appreciated, and supported and valued by people other than their amazing family members! This video really did show me how much we rely on our brain to communicate with itself!
My son has a tumor that interrupts a good part of the corpus callosum. He learns differently. It wasn't easy when he was in school, because he "looked" like everyone else.
Her smile and laugh are contagious. I can tell she's a fun person to be around. OMG I'd LOVE to be her friend. Her attitude is the kind I'd love to spend my time around.
Hey Ashleigh! I also have ACC, and am missing most of my CC. It’s difficult, but we can live life, no matter what it throws at us! I’m in your corner. Great job to Ashleigh’s family, keep being awesome, all of you!!❤❤❤
My parents were told some statements about capabilities when I was little (but less impactful for sure except that I may not survive a week then a month). My amazing Mom ignored all of it. I'm 53. Ashley is amazing!
I empathize with this child, it seemed like her dad a!almost rejected her reaching out to give him a hug and then looked like she cried but wouldn't look up that is awful, I have lesions on the part of the brain she is missing I hope she receives the love she needs from others
i have to boys my youngest something was wrong wasn't holding his head up crawling walking at the age they are supposed to we took him to a doctor he said he will never walk or talk took him to another he said he will end up in a wheel chair the 3rd we explained to him he said they are crazy he is just behind that's all all he needs is therapy we took him by the time he started school he was walking with help he was diagnosed with mild cerebral palsy but now you would not know it is balance is off a little bit but that his all he will be 27 his brother will be 29 boy how time flies
@@mantronickilldozer maybe the mother passed away, or declined to be on the interview. The guy in the video said “we” when mentioning his daughter. If she did bail, why would it matter to point that out in this video? It’s about Ashley.

I hope he realizes how much his channel has helped others. He's a remarkably, special kind of guy💕
I love her attitude. What a beautiful soul, God bless her ❤️
Ashleigh, your energy is contagious! Way to go, girl!
This has to be one of the biggest connections Chris has had with a friend. Forever the Blue Two 💙💙
I have this condition, too! I’m glad to see someone else like me in the world.
This is one of my favorite interviews on the channel. Ashleigh's energy is infectious. Stinky feet!

Wow what a beautiful girl and well loved 🥰
"What are you lookin at?" 🤣🤣 love her!
At the 2:08 mark, did Ashleigh have a little crying episode? It looked as if she misinterpreted a non verbal cue from her father.
I just realized that Chris reminds of Alf. Anyone else see the resemblance or am I nuts?! Lol
😂 I totally see it

I would love to be her friend and I would love to meet you guys
12:06 AHAHAHA 😆
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
💕
Lol she’s a comedian!!!!
Does she have the same condition as Kim Peek?
Kim Peek. He's one who "Rain Man" was modelled after, but I'm not sure who the other one was. They were autistic. Is Ashleigh? IDK.
Comments, wow!
💜💜
❤
Ngl, I kindda look like her
The dad looked totally embarrassed in the beginning of this.
To be honest I think he was just nervous, he seems like a good guy
Where is the mother?
Why does that matter?
@@udidnseethat people love pointing out when a father is absent from a family so I was just trying to point out women bail too.

@@mantronickilldozer good job on your attempt on unnecessary social justice
