- Do you need to learn how to ship a package from home? Shipping packages USPS doesn't have to be hard! USPS Click N Ship service is one way to purchase Priority Mail, Express Mail, and First Class mail online so you will never have to stand in the line at the post office again. This particular step by step tutorial we show how to purchase a domestic priority mail label online using a flat rate envelope. Click N Ship does support International Shipping as well. It does not support media mail or parcel select at this time. Although it's not the best option for buying postage online, it definitely is better than using the self ship station at the post office or waiting in line. Hopefully this video is helpful.

Great video. This was so much more informative than the USPS video they have up for this. I'm just getting back into relaunching my small handmade beanies business (knit & crochet) on Etsy, and prior I used to drive all of my packages to the post office and stand in line to ship them out. I learned about the Click-N-Ship service and wonder what was I thinking lol. I could have saved myself some gas money just by having the post office pick up my packages when they deliver my mail. I had concerns over whether I could use my ink-jet printer for this, and it looks like I can. I'm gonna have to check out that scale in your video. I may decide to just use shipping by weight in bubble mailers if that will save me some additional money on shipping.

Great video FOR THE "OLD" USPS CLICK-AND-SHIP. The "NEW VERSION" is a little different -- maybe a tiny bit simpler -- IF it worked. Unfortunately, after filling out the first page, which is very similar to the one in the video, and then clicking on the dark blue bar/button for next, it doesn't go anywhere, nor did I see a tab for Print, or print label. It is possible that my PC had an issue, however, everything worked perfectly in the old version, prior to today's new version.

Thanks for doing this. How do I change the default return address in Click N Ship? I can find nothing in the Help, and I have sent a request for help with this a number of times, but have not gotten any useful responses.
We moved and I have to manually edit the default return address each time I ship. What a PITA !!

Just printed an international label for my package. It printed 3 pages. Can't find instructions anywhere for what to do with them! Page 1 is the actual label. Page 2 is the customs declarations. Page 3 is the dispatch note. It looks like we need one of those clear plastic pouches to stuff them all into? Then peel the back off to affix it to the box? Any idea what we should do?
Can we just affix the (page 1) label to the box? Every page looks virtually the same except for the titles.

Wondering if you're able to use Click N Ship to pay for a label and then email the label to another party? Government auctions often require a prepaid label, not sure about the best way to set that up.

You will need to ask the buyer, or whoever you are sending the package to for the urbanization code to finish the address.

Yeah you could do that if you know the weight and dimensions of the package.

As of Feb. 2023, it looks like Chrome doesn't offer the Rollo extension anymore. Bummer! But thank you for opening our eyes to this process!

Good question! If you are printing on normal paper you tape it on the package.

@@raylafleur6616 Easy, just buy full page 8.5x11 sticky Avery paper with two labels per page. Put it into your laser printer and print.

If I already labeled my priority envelopes, can I just tape the barcode to the envelope vs the entire label? I forgot about click n ship...went to the post office and the line was 30 deep. Came home and remember click n ship...

Flat rate envelopes don't have a tracking number.
It says to enter a shipping date …but I do not want to go to the post office I want to after buying the label schedule a l pick up .could you please advise ?

Depends. Flat rate means just that, flat rate, no matter how much weight is inside the box as long as you don't go over like 70lbs I think it will cost the same regardless of weight. Non flat rate packages go by weight.

Their address should be on the label and stick it on.

Yes exactly. And first class as well you can use anything that doesn't say priority on it. I don't think click n ship offers first class yet though.

You can drop it wherever you want.
Pirateship only good sometimes for 18" box in a bag otherwise waste of time as their quote is about 10x higher
That is not my experience, it has usually been the same or cheaper on all fronts.

Okay I read online that usps priority Mail has a weight limit of 70 pounds but is more than 70 pounds the weight limit for parcel select ground and can you ship a washing machine via usps parcel select ground because a washing machine weighs more than 70 pounds.
I wouldn't ship a washing machine, I would sell it locally on facebook marketplace, offer up, or craigslist. I think USPS max handling ability is 70 lbs for anything.

So I created a label on click n ship and picked the package i wanted and entered the weight of the stuff. So will usps send me the label along with the envelope and then i put it back in my mailbox for the mail guy to get ? I’m so lost on this but really wanna make sure i did it right. (I had a small envelope ordered). It also gave me no option to print said label. Please help🙃😅
Hey I’m new to this process too. I don’t honk they automatically send you the envelope. There’s a tab on the USPS website that says “shipping supplies” where you can order materials for free

It won't ship unless you use their priority mail boxes so that sucks.
If you create a label on Sunday do I have to ship or wait until the next business day cause usps is closed and the pick up is not available
Next business day. Most post office are not strict on ship dates either. I've dropped off days after purchasing without problem.
