Hello everyone, I would like to say that Murisan Family reached out and we had a very good conversation where we could learn about each other and talk about our differences and our stances stemming from this video. I would like to clarify that my end of the video rant wasn't really aimed at Murisan, but moreso the voting portion/some free stuff on patreon. Well, I'm happy to say that both of us want whats best for Bangtan and I am so happy to hear that we both can and will strive to be better. They responded positively to what I had to say and they want to promote votings, wait 24 hours and balance patreon. I appreciate and respect that and I also say it is infinitely more courageus than the other content creators that I know have seen the video but will turn a blind eye to it. So for that reason I do want to apologize to Murisan and the harm/hurt I caused. I am sorry. I am happy we got a good conclusion to this but I still am not proud of putting them in the heat with the rest. I don't think that they are fake, nor that they don't actually like Bangtan/or that they don't buy their own merch. I think they got swept into that unfairly and got grouped up with others that are on an entirely different realm. I am sorry and I will do better in the future. I just want us on TH-cam to do what we can to help the boys.. it's frustrating seeing people look at them like a business, like a honey pot. I will always fight for what I believe is right and I do not regret a thing about the other callouts in the video. It is ridiculous to me what they're doing and they hide behind a purple wall (ARMY). My methods can be criticized and I am not absolved of blame, nor am I perfect in my way of conveying what I wanted to convey, although it came from a place of frustration, a place of wanting to be better, it could've been done better. I want to win us to win more Daesangs, to top more charts and to always keep the purple flag flying high. A dynasty can be rebuilt if it's destroyed from the outside, but it is forever gone when crumbled from the inside. People might not agree with me or my methods but I will call out behavior that seems harmful and I will expect the same to me from you guys. In the end, I and them and hopefully others really want is to help Bangtan as much as possible. Let's vote and do our best and stream when we can!! APOBANGPO -Shiki
I sent a gift to Murisan Family, and added 1 for TJ, but to this point I do t know if they ever received them, I sent them the set of collection Post Stamps that I bought directly from Korea, I thought it was special, and to this day my last email was never responded at least to say thank you we got them😢...I'll spend my money on BTS directly, and try to vote for thwm directly. 💜
You should never be sorry for calling out this gross behavior. You are the ONLY channel that even cares enough to do so. It took calling it out to make this conversation happen and I'm glad the conversation sounds like some real support for voting and streaming for BTS may come out of it 💜
Here's the thing - some reactors are actually not fake but they picked up bad practices from fake reactors. If you are going start doing something, you're going to look at the other people doing the same thing to see how things work and unfortunately so many pick up bad practices from people for who in this is mainly for the business. It's gotten to the point that knowingly or unknowingly BTS reactors are usually more unethical than non-BTS reactors on Patreon. And if you try to inform them of it or call them out on it, their fans will shut you down. So it escalates to a confrontation. Some people refuse to see how lopsided the relationship is between BTS and so many of these BTS reactors where they feel entitled to take everything from BTS and don't care about giving anything back. Good on Murisan Family for having an honest conversation and wanting to do what's right! That's the real ARMY spirit. Not some weird rhetoric of "BTS can take it" and "people should be allowed to exploit BTS because they are a fan".

Yeah, I wish reactors would send a link where to vote instead of pushing patron endlessly. As an older fan I can't always find that link that I can just click on to vote for my beloved artists in BTS

You’re the realest army reactor on TH-cam. There’s a reason why only your reactions to things like Run BTS, Are You Sure, In The Soop etc. are tolerable because you actually give af about the boys outside of just making content. Also those multi YT channels react to every group possible to milk views from every K-pop fandom, not because they’re actually interested in K-pop
What is crazy about CCW is that they claim they are BTS fans, but don't remember stuff they have watched before as well as songs they have heard before unless it is one of the most most popular ones. Really shows they don't listen to their music and rewatch content. They also have the most basic image of each of the boys personalities. For example, for them Hobi is the bright one that shouldn't curse and suga is the cold, quiet, uninterested one. Like ????? Also I am not surprised they don't promote voting and streaming as they don't know a single thing about what is happening in the fandom and with BTS. Aparently they have a channel on their discord where "their fans" update them about EVERYTHING. And they have summary writers that tell them stuff about what they react (which has wrong information). They don't do a thing besides filming themselves, receiving everything they have for free and getting money out of BTS. And something that I found out recently is that apparently they laugh and make fun of us here on youtube with their primos on discord whenever the comments tell them they are doing or saying something wrong. And it makes sense why when you tell them they are doing something wrong their fans will defend them by saying that you are the problem, that you are a hater and should just leave. But the fact that they show somewhere that they don't care and just laugh.....They don't care about BTS for real. Also them having a whole team just to react to BTS doesn't seem to me like they are doing this just for fun and because they are fans. Them receiving free stuff has always bothered me, because they have mentioned seeing BTS albums on target, but you know instead of buying them for themselves, if they really want them, they just wait to receive them for free along with merch. A few months ago they mentioned certain merch items they don't have and instead of saying 'we should get them' or 'it is fine' they repeated it later on. Because they know they will receive it at some point so all they have to do is casually mention what they are missing. It is just wild they want to receive merch, albums, figurines, etc. but don't know a thing about what they receive. They don't know what they receive, what the inclusions are, the era it came out, the reasoning, meaning, etc. They just say 'wow', 'pretty' and that is it. Then their whole family frindly bullsh*t. I don't know if they are aware BTS have never claimed to be family friendly, but they sure try to keep them that way. The boys have always expressed themselves, their stories, experiences through music and have been so real about it. But these four come here and decide that certain things are wrong as if BTS were cursing or talking about difficult topics justcause and not because there is a story behind it. Even Seven has it, Jungkook wanted to be seen as more mature. They really overreact when they hear a member curse and not in the way we all do which is a mix of surprise and excitement. Also their fans have tried to defend them by saying they feel uncomfortable being filmed while listening to bad words, etc. But their earlier reactions is them reacting to House of the Dragon....and on their other channel (because one channel and patreon was not enough) they have reacted to content that is not family friendly. Guess they only feel uncomfortable when it is BTS. And don't get me started on their patreon. Crazy how they say they can't upload Run BTS episodes of youtube because they will lose their channel, but can upload Run Jin which is basically the same content. And people have told them to make them free on patreon, but pretend those coments don't exist. Although I strongly feel they (and any other BTS reactors) shouldn't have a patreon at all. Paid content isn't even an exception because if you pay to watch something is because you really want to watch it and enjoy it. But is seems that the rule is that reactors should get that money they spent back like ???? If they want their money back then don't buy anything in the first place. Because at the end they do get the money they spend on paid content back, but also they make even more money from it. Using BTS as their money maker.
The minute they posted that first po box video I realized what they were in it for and then they made a patreon and put Run episodes on it and I could only shake my head. If only the "army" who constantly defend them, stood up for BTS and army that are being taken advantage of, instead of defending them making thousands of dollars a month off of the hard work of BTS. I remember when their army editor(not sure if they got a new one) used to put edits of them wishing for the things that "army" were sending to them in their po box videos, cause they couldn't afford some of the merch. And all i could think was, 1. i hope they're paying them to edit their videos, and 2. why can't they send some of the stuff they receive to the editor, especially because they were just getting into BTS and the stuff would definitely mean more to the editor than it would to them. I haven't really watched a po box video, or most of their videos in general, since because youtubers accepting things through po box has always sort of grossed me out ( even if these people are willingly sending it) Every so often i will tune into their videos and they way they treat reactions like they're just checking another video off the list and not actually interested in the content of the song or whatever it is their watching makes me so annoyed. Sometimes the discussions are actually pretty good and then the one lady will rush the others along if they're talking too long because i assume she wants to move onto the next reaction. When are youtube "army" going to learn that many of these reactors only see us and BTS as dollar signs?? Also, one of the reasons I feel more strongly about this channel over some of the other channels is because they're touted as a channel of people who are "real BTS fans", who really "care about the music" and a lot of other channels are a bit more obvious that they don't care. But if they really cared they wouldn't put things behind a paywal. And sorry but the excuse of "TH-cam blocked it" for why certain things are on the patreon... they just uploaded an episode of Are You Sure?, a disney + show!! to their youtube but episodes of Run have to be on the patreon... P.S. Sorry I used your comment to rant 😅 but they way people in their comments defend their every action, even when it's constructive criticism, makes me not want to comment over there and it's nice to see another person who sees what i see.
EXACTLY you brought up so many things I’ve been thinking. what irritates me is that u can clearly tell they don’t listen to bts music outside of reactions beside the most popular ones which no surprise are the English ones. and also some comments they say in their reactions rub me the wrong way, it’s just annoying that they try to find a joke in everything the tannies do. what especially irritates me is the content the include for patreon. I don’t mind if bv or other paid content is on there but when it’s run bts and FREE content from the tannies …that just doesn’t make sense???? when they say they’re busy people and have jobs and stuff I’m like so why do u need a patreon where u are getting money from army if u have jobs? they clearly don’t need that money so I don’t understand the reason for their patreon.

I used to watch CCW until they created their own “fandom” called Primos and realized they were not buying any merch at all but was taking advantage of ARMY’s generosity.
And the sad part are that "Army", people who is supposed to be fans of bts, support them when someone claims that they are taking advantage of bts name, I wrote it cause they react weeks before to "RM" John's first mixtape so disappointed

i used to wait for mexinese family reactions but when suga was getting ton of hate and they decided to stay quite about it i unsubscribed them instantly...in that very moment i realised they are in here for money and fame and don't give a f about yoongi or BTS

Tbh I was SO surprised when Tribe Loui didn't monetize the patreon (he was the 1st one I knew didn't) and I was so happy bcs I've been here since 2016 and I've ALWAYS unsubscribed when they make a patreon for simple reactions. If it's not smth original, I'm out. Bcs why TF would I spend $20 for a maybe reaction or a reaction in general when the OG content is FREE. And when I've paid on patreon, I've paid $6 for BOOKS, that take such a LONG time to create, but I'll never pay $20 for a random to sit for 20 minutes and react to a free "Run BTS" ep. And nah- I personally dislike those channels bcs they KNOW, and just play the nice guys when they KNOW it ridiculous to monetize that content.
Yes, that was disappointing. Even while BYS is being dragged by Min Her Jin, there was nothing from them or any of these creators to share solutions to the Army that could be collectively done to counter false and negative media about BTS. This is a wake up call to these creators and to ARMYS as well to wisely choose which creators to support.
I know they love BTS but yeah.. disappointed they don't defend the members or maybe they are just not that inform about what is going on. Like I think they have only watched like 1 Boracity video and that was a while ago and they never watched that one explaining the Yoongi situation. Also, it was disappointed when they only posted their reaction to 'I wonder' on TH-cam and not Neuron that is the title track in a Hobi comeback just bc Jungkook is their common bias /bias wrecker, like what 😭 many asked them to post it but they never did :( It's like them just posting Strange instead of Daechwita.. yep that's weird but they did listened to the whole album on Patreon
Tbh I feel like they do love bts but a looot of the time they only express their issues if it effects them only and don’t talk about things that effect bts - like when the hiatus was announced they say they were really shaken and every chance they get they talk about how effected and sad they are that bts is gng thru hiatus since 2022 to even now but they never talked about the suga issue it’s just soo disheartening to see that it felt like since the members will go on a hiatus they thought they couldn’t sustain their channel but now there is so much content even during hiatus that they enjoy it with patreon payments but even on patreon they never talked about Yoongi

Could not agree more. And if I'm being honest reaction videos are not work... I know that is going to offend people but that is just the truth. The ones putting in the real work and hours of practice are BTS themselves. All they are doing is reacting to someone else's original content.
@@victoriacrudup3477 Exactly. This is why it doesn't make sense for people to claim they 'deserve' to be paid for making reactions. It's not that it doesn't take any time or effort to make a reaction video, of course it does, but in almost all cases the content they're creating has a very mild amount of actual input, most of what they contribute is just a few facial expressions and comments while playing the actual original content created by BTS, maybe with a bit of chat afterwards... it's no different from what the rest of us do in our own rooms, they just film it! The harsh truth is, reacting to other people's work should be seen as a hobby not a career. If you want to do it for fun, because you genuinely enjoy it or you really love an artist, that's great! But you can't expect people to pay you to do it. If a few people love your content so much they want to donate that's their choice, but treating a reaction channel as a money-making scheme is immediately suspect to me. I understand some people use Patreon to react to content they can't show on youtube, but you can have free tiers on Patreon, there's no need to charge. Even with the more dedicated fan channels who add real commentary, there shouldn't be an expectation of payment... what are they doing that other fans aren't doing for free? Talking to a camera and uploading takes a little effort, true, but SO many fans are putting in more effort with no expectation of payment. So many fans are running projects, translating, analysing lyrics, making edits, making art, writing essays, organising voting etc. and never ask to be paid. If some people want to donate to dedicated ARMYs who put in a lot of work that's awesome, but it should never be a demand or an expectation.
I just subscribed to your channel even though I might have never seen one of your reactions but I agree with you 100%. I am an older and quiet army in regards of social media but I stream and vote ALWAYS because to me I love and support BTS with all my heart! Some of these reactors use their looks and charms (but not genuine at all) and many armies fall for them. Please army save your money and enjoy BTS content on your own, remember the guys will be out next year and they will be holding concerts around the world and the money you are waisting on this so called 'reactors' you'll be needing in the future. I tell you this with much love and concern
And the worst part is that they aren't truly OT7; they focus on the popular members because what they're looking for is approval from the 'majority' or the 'onlys.' But those who genuinely support all 7 equally are few-maybe just you.
@cinthia2287 I have a bias and call myself OT7 because I truly love all of them. I've been ARMY since just after their debut and I vote, stream, purchase when I can save, go to theatre's when there's a BTS documentary, send fan letters, make ARMY memorabilia to give out when I can, etc. I don't consider me as a solo stan at all. @@Ween4ever this. Namjoon is my bias but I love them all. I have 7 different accounts for voting, I use my friends and family phones to be able to vote for every member and Bangtan as a whole when it's possible. Fact that we relate to one, 2 or five members doesn't mean that we're not OT7.
this is sort of unrelated but i wish reactors would make more videos discussing bts' music beyond just initial reactions. make a video about your favorite bts songs and music videos and lyrics, your favorite songs from each album, your favorite album packaging and concept photos, your favorite Run eps and moments, your favorite bts songs for winter or summer, etc. even videos ranking albums and songs. Boracity is the only one who does videos like this & i wish more did.
Same! And even when occasionally someone does, it's often very shallow. There was a new channel that recently posted two videos like "I listened to every BTS song" and "I watched every BTS music video" which got 100,000s of views in a few days... and the videos aren't terrible? But they're just very shallow. He made montages of himself listening to each album and vaguely nodding along. All songs are carefully cut at 3 seconds so they can't be copyright claimed and he can still monetize the video. Then he's like "yeah it was alright... pretty good... the lyrics are cool I guess (no mention of which ones)... my fave songs were [x] (no mention of why)." Then right on to the next album, same thing. Totally bland. No commentary, no explanation of why he liked/disliked anything. Just vaguely positive, kind of unenthusiastic. Then between albums there are these long random sections of him just vlogging his daily routine to pad extra time into the video and get more ad revenue. But because he didn't hate on them, he's an attractive young man and he gave his male seal of approval, people were eating it up and saying "WOW! Thank you for being sooo respectful! Thank you for not hating them! You actually listened to the albums? You're so dedicated! Please make more videos like this you're the best!!" I don't understand, are we that starved for praise or commentary? Anyway, sorry for the rant! I would actually love more videos from real ARMYs talking about BTS' music and lyrics, and diving into what the songs mean to us, and all the interesting conversations they open up. We should make this a trend, get more real ARMYs to start youtube channels and build a proper community on here!

THANK YOU SHIKI for calling this out! It’s clear to me how fragmented and divided the bts fandom has become since I joined it in 2021. I get how challenging it could be as new army during their solo era, so these channels should be a helper and guide for all of this. Anyone who monetizes bts content needs to own their responsibility!!!
I would definitely watch a video highlighting positive things various reactors have done in relation to BTS and ARMY, as well as the naming of the seemingly genuine ones. For me exclusive BTS content is not what I require from a reactor, the genuine music enjoyment and curiousity in understanding as well as the (from some only occasional) insightful commentary is what keeps me subscribed.
Actually, I think Boracity did sorta make a video which included commentary on reaction channels. But I distinctively remember Bora praising Jared & Jordan because they do their research. But imo, I don't think their research is all that deep and their comments are often frivolous. I actually think they are the most exploitative of all the channels Shiki mentioned.
Shiki you are speaking the cold, hard facts. A lot of people (not all, mind you) are just making money off of BTS, and sometimes you can really tell 😬 Army is HUUUUGE and we shouldn't be losing any of these polls. The LEAST they can do is give back to BTS. I remember I started looking into BTS when they won the Social Artist Award back in 2017. If Army back then didn't vote for them, I probably wouldn't have known or heard of them back then 😢 I'm so grateful to the Army that voted back then and vote now 💜 Thank you for saying what needed to be said 🙏

Shiki is the only one brave enough to speak facts and he knows he’s gonna receive hate from this but still did what needed to be done. He may have fewer subs than all of the reactors he mentioned but in my opinion he’s the most deserving.. the most genuine army reactor out there. It’s a shame how the most sincere reactors gets fewer subs than even newbies whose title are just click baits just to make money using bts. Shiki i hope you won’t get discouraged. I agree with everything you said. There's a few channels that I used to enjoy, that I've now moved away from because they really do participate is some predatory practices. It's never felt right to me for people to have to pay for someone else to watch content that's free. BTS have the vast majority of their content as free because they know not everyone can afford it. And they work hard on things like RUN BTS or RUN JIN- for free. And that shows a love and care for their audience that some of these reactors do not.

Sad to say that the newest reactors to BTS got bigger so fast and their views got so many views but they barely know BTS..and it's so sad that many army's are watching and supporting them..and the ones who's really had a truest care and love for BTS like Shiki. And Jackpot Army got so little views and likes. So many new reactors to BTS nowadays are popping out like crazy,they're so many..

Over the last 2 years i have unfollowed many, but the last straw was the situation with 😾. Those who continued to make money from their content as if nothing had happened, without writing even a line of support, the level of anger that i experienced is incomparable. Coz they have 200k subscribers and seriously you don't want to express support. There’s this channel ‘not so daily’, it’s two boys Kevin and David, they don’t react to kpop anymore(which shows that they were not in it for views) but they have been army’s since 2018/2019. They truly love and appreciate bts a lot

I've always said that every person on this planet who had a single minute of joy or emotion created by these seven fantastic artists called BTS would do one thing, anything, order the cheapest album, watch the video, vote as far as they can understand the voting system and every drop is collected in this beautiful world created by BTS and Army. Thank you Shiki for bringing this to my awareness. Sadly i did subscribe to most of those reactors on Patreon. I have since cancelled all my memberships because i do believe i am being manipulated. Thank you for saving me money and making me realise some really unethical things many of these platforms are doing. Majority of them watch free content and charge a lot of money, which now that i think of it is absolutely ridiculous. None of them have brought attention voting, if anything smaller OT7 youtube channels have instead! Army need to wake up, and stop supporting many of these people! lets support our bts boys and spread kindness without engaging in manipulative/fake youtube reactors! Thank you Shiki!!!!!!!

To me it is those who vote, stream, promote, buy merch when they can to support BTS. Everyone else I just call fans. It frustrates me to see some of these reactors being so supported by people who call themselves ARMY just because they "like BTS." Ugh!! It seems so clear to me, like it does to you. I mean, the facts are there... charging for content that is available for free!! And creating "ARMY" tiers. I mean... if you are that gullible I guess it is karma. Almost no one is voting during this military enlistment. It feels like such a struggle for the wins we do get lately. The fandom is a screwed up mess at the moment. Appreciate this! 💯 And they get mad if you tell them they aren’t ARMY if they don’t vote, stream, promote, buy albums, etc. “I can enjoy BTS in my own way” they say. Well, then you are just a casual fan. ARMY does most if not all of the above, and they also protect BTS and other ARMYs from the predatory practices we see in the majority of reactors.
This is why I say the fandom has changed. Now that BTS is international we have a bunch of solo stans and bandwagoners as well as people who are using BTS to make money. I felt so bad that we couldn’t get Jin a win for MNet countdown. He’s been working tirelessly since discharging. We are the biggest fandom on earth and we failed him. But if it was the Maknae line they would have come thru because they have more solo stans than the hyung line. Plus we had all these Armys that left once BTS enlisted because they are not solo fans they are just BTS fans. I know people have lives and you have work and families. But you can’t tell me at some point in the day your not on your phone. We all know all of us right before we go to sleep we all have phone time. You can take a couple minutes during that time to vote!

I''m a 2018 army who started out on YT first in late 2017. reaction videos made BTS reach more people back then, reaction videos were genuine back then & people mainly did it for curiosity & i watched them because i was a new army back then too & it made me feel like i was discovering BTS with friends, then the YT army community became so useless that i had to go on twitter in late 2018 & it only went downhill on YT & more armys are getting discouraged with YT & are leaving because the fandom is dying here with old creators who were dear to our heart not being active anymore & YT itself being unfair to BTS. many old & loyal armys have given up on the platform sadly. but i don't agree with that, when things get hard, that's when we should hang in together so i urge armys to come to YT again because this was the platform that drove us at one point & rn we are missing out on a lot. i want army friends on YT, not people who wants to use us for money & clout. like shiki said there are millions of channels who are associated with BTS in some way but it's so sad that i can only see true army friends in only 3-4 of them & shiki is one of those safe army spaces for me, so i just wanted to say thank you for being there for our boys & showing everyone what a real army looks like. I was subscribed to Columbian cousins and jared and jorden. Then when the situation with Suga started i wrote comments and even a private message to them asking them to show their support…even it was just focused reactions on Suga dedicated to him in that difficult situation and to react to the boracity video about this topic….but they didnt care and the response was really disappointing…i unsubscribed them

I really don't care about watching patreon since it's not convenient on my TV. I don't watch reaction video unless they are professional enough to talk about the music. If all ARMYs unsubscribe from their patreon, they will move onto another group.

I have and never will pay for a reaction nope why should I . I can see them for free. These channels are not the only culprits. What about ARMY who only makes an effort to vote for the maknae line? Jin, Suga, J-Hope, and RM also deserve # 1s. Especially that without the last three’s writing and producing skills, BTS would not be where they are.

As a baby army, Jin's loss on Mnet was both heartbreaking and eye opening... is this even the strongest fandom I used to hear about anymore? And the way he just keeps falling on streaming platforms and lists in several countries is so sad to see as well. After all the love he's shown us these past months, this is the way the fandom pays him? If these reaction channels call themselves "ARMY", they should feel this same anger at the current situation and promote voting and streaming for BTS members more than their patreons. BTS is the only reason they are relevant. It's so frustrating!!
The actual ARMYs that match BTS' energy in terms of putting in the work is a small ratio. Many are just there for the clout and free gifts or want the glory but don't wanna put in the work.

I think is because many hardcore armys(who vote, stream, report spam accounts, etc) are in hiatus, and there many more armys who genuinely like bts but are just here for the fun. Maybe you can understand a little bit more if you watch boracity videos

Yeah... The moment someone mentions "patreon" I unsuscribe. I watch other channels that have nothing to do with BTS or music aswell. Creators of different content like travelers for example, and they have to go to all those places and carry everything to film, I mean they make their original content and at least the ones I follow have never mentioned the word "patreon" now that I think of it. They just ask for your "like" and suscription. I am sure that Jin does not care for numbers, but it hurts to me how excited he was to be back to make us happy and We did not do what we always do. I agree that BTS reactors should organize things to promote voting and give back something to BTS, because THEY CAN.

The cousins were so much better in the beginning when they were learning but now they think they know everything except they dont know any of the little things about them..they dont research or even just read about simple things most armies know. They watched too many documentries at tge same time too. I think you learn more about tge guys watching funny videos lije Shiki does..l remember the first time l watched Shiki lnwas laughing my ass off and my kids were like ..whats is happening in there lol. And then they always say "l think we heard this or saw this" you either did or you didn't..they forget alot..

You know what’s even worse about it. They all watch content where they can see the hard work and dedication of BTS and are always in awe of what Army has achieved and praise them for that, but somehow they never think of participating and paying it forward.

They know better and can do better. And a quick 2-3 minute video, a community post or mentioning it at the start of a reaction isn't asking too much of them.
Speaking the truth, Shiki. You have always been my favourite reactor. You are genuine, and do everything for BTS. Your patreon is free which very few other reactors do. You show people how to vote and your love, respect and passion for BTS shows in everything you do 💜💜
A lot of these people prey on the loneliness of others maybe not intentionally but still. There are people who have no one around them that they can talk to about BTS- ups & downs, songs, MV's, achievements, inspirations etc. so when they see reaction channels it boosts dopamine, especially if that channel is really relatable. People will pay to watch a reaction with someone than to watch alone, to eat alone, to laugh alone, to cry alone. People don't want to be lonely, but unfortunately a lot of people are and reaction channels can prey upon that because they know people will pay to not be alone, they will pay to relate to someone, pay for interaction, pay for parasocial relationships. It's really sad. and I get this because I live in The Bahamas and it's so hard to find people around me that like the same things, I feel like a whalien looking for my pod. I feel like Laboon from One Piece, crying alone. I have paid to watch reactors, I don't do so anymore because I can't afford it and also I side-eye a lot of the channels now. But these channels really could do the bare minimum and tell people to vote. and if they themselves don't know how to vote, then recommend channels like Shiki that can instruct on how to vote. Sighs.
I used to watch the Mexinese family but their reaction videos nowadays are so soulless, as though they are reading off a script. Not gonna lie, I still enjoy Murisan family as they still seem genuinely enthusiastic about BTS.

Automatic cancel for channels that don’t wait 24 hours, don’t encourage voting/streaming, and/or didn’t speak up for Yoongi but continued making money off their content. For me, it's actually quite sad and embarrassing seeing so many ARMYs flock to these channels and seeing ARMYs get used this way.

What’s most weird about the channels that you mentioned (and thousand more) is that we have to pay to watch them reacting to contents that even bts gives us for free and the army content like live stage mix,live performance,etc……like army’s really need to wake up and call them out. Now I watch only Jino,tribe and you after I realised they’re just here to earn coz army’s are huge.

Shiki has posted YT tutorials in the past on how and where to vote for the Korean/Asian award shows. Right now Jin is nominated for MNET’s “Best Comeback Artist of November”. Voting ends on November 11 (KST), and we can vote up to 10 times per day. Just create an account on the app. There is also voting for Western music awards. The rules are posted on the websites. Jimin and Jungkook are currently nominated for “Best K-pop” for the MTV European Music Awards (EMAs). I heard voting is promoted on X/Tw*tter by ARMY accounts, so you could follow them if you have an account. I’m not on there, as I don’t care for the owner.
Jose basically admitted this when he made a video when his account got a copyright strike and he thought it might get shut down. Went on about how he took the risk to make TH-cam his full time job and that if videos or his channel gets copyright striked he can no longer monetize them a.k.a he can no longer make money from the video. Stated he wouldn't know what to do if that happened 🙄. He then stated if the channel shut down he would just do everything on pateron, not even offering a free teir. Man showed his true colors and it baffles me that people actually defend him.
There's these new reactors called 'Playback boys'. They talk all over the music (mostly cracking jokes and inside convo) barely listening and then make random comments. Say yeah we liked it and close. It is soooo annoying. I watched them for the first few weeks and then just gave up because the amount of comments they got to pause when they wanted to speak and them not caring was just unbearable. Idk probably just me-
They also never read the comments. They started with JK and the amount of cringy comments from JK stans was overwhelming. When others called them out, it got very nasty. That continued for days. Never heard a peep from the playback boys. I don’t think they even read the comments.
I genuinely dislike the practices within the bts reaction sphere and im so so happy to see someone call them out outside of groupchats and army communities.
Shiki it's up to ARMY . WE are the ones to hold the reactors accountable to BTS and voting. If ARMY is not telling them about voting they won't KNOW about it. ARMY has a BIG role to play here.
They claim to be army themselves though, so like all of us are learning and staying updated, they should too. Just because they are publicly engaging with BTS doesn't make them special. All of us are busy and have jobs & do all this regardless. It is not our job to tell them bare minimum. However, keeping them accountable is needed in that to not give them views for doing nothing/bare minimum. And either way, how can we be sure people are not informing them already?
Oh and believe me, I comment about it in their video’s. But it usually gets ignored. Or I get hate from other Army’s that stan the reactors, but kinda forgot along the way who they were fan of in the first place.

Love Shiki and JackpotArmy for that, I have been subscribed to the two the longest. I'm pretty sure LVLUP and TribeLoui also don't charge Patreon, and they seem to genuinely appreciate the boys. And I also enjoy the communities they are fostering. Another I'm subscribed to is Sleep Deez who is a producer introducing BTS to his producer friend, they are both hilarious and we learn quite a bit from them. Gameboyy 310 is also great at analizing videos and lyrics and just appreciating the music, he is too sporadic in posting to be doing it for clout, and those of us subscribed always look forward to his next reaction. I think I'm forgetting someone, but unless I'm proven wrong further down the line, these are the channels and reactors I support and will continue to watch regularly. All others are just for filler. Oh, and (the?) Backstabbers are adorable and enthusiastic (sometimes too much), and seem to genuinely enjoy themselves and music, they also try to learn and are entertaining. I'm not subscribed as they react to all of k-pop, but I will always watch their BTS content.
I haven't watched a new BTS reactor in some time because most of them annoy me as soon as they yell their intro. I got to a point where if they have a "fanbase name" for their subscribers, I'm out. (Tribe Loui might be the only exception.) I'm too old and tired to be called someone's something. Paid reactions are so morally wrong in my opinion. Donations would be much less questionable. Make everything free, accept donations from people who can and want to help. That's fine. But every single reactor and their mothers these days want to make sitting-in-front-of-a-camera-and-watching-stuff a full time job so they find a specific passionate group like anime fans, kpop fans or tv-shows fans and they milk the shit out of those people, feeding them with superficial, pointless content. It would be great if they added some valuable information and perspectives, made thought-provoking comments and actually put some effort and brain power into their videos, but they don't. I know anime reactors who have zero personalities, make $25k+ every single month and they watch anime on shady illegal websites. They are making in a month 20x more money than one animator made working on that exact show they're watching and yet they're not supporting the project, not even with one penny. That's not ok at all. Lately I've been nothing but infuriated by reactors.
Your channel is criminally underrated. Literally the only channels that i can wholeheartedly and confidently subscribe that does BTS content is, ofc, BANGTANTV, Tribe Loui, Boracity Magazine and after watching this, you. I've just unsubscribe one of the channels that you've mentioned. I initially thought they genuinely cared for BTS but after you pointed out some unspeakable facts, it shed a light on me and just did what had to be done.
Before this, I already unsubscribed to about 4 channels because I noticed that they are not really for BTS, but after the money they can get out of the contents they get for free. Most of them rarely react on YT like when they used to because they switched to Patreon to get paid. Sad.
I was truly surprised how many veteran reactors reacted to Jin's MV within 3-4 of it dropping. I love reactions but I haven't watched any of those because that was wrong. They knew that was wrong. They wanted the views bad enough to do it anyways. I'm not monetized on TH-cam or Tiktok but I did make posts to vote.
it just shows you because the quicker you get something out the more people see it and it goes higher in the algorithm so it's mostly to get the most views being prioritized

Team Jino and Tribe here! Shiki, you just reminded me of a final decluter I need to go through on channels that aren't up to BTS standards. You never disappoint. Keep your line of work because you are appreciated.
reactions and monetization of content that is supposed to be free (they love the copyright excuse lol) have been a problem forever, i wish armys wouldn't jump straight into subscribing to channels just because bts is in the title, many of these people might have good intentions but the moment they see the cloud they change a lot, they just overreact, they see the guys as dolls/characters, the way they breathe becomes a thirst trap, armys become their money transfers and and they just don't care about the main content: their music (they don't want to read the lyrics, they don't want to see live performances) is weird out there.
Also the provocative/clickbait titles like 'kpop/bts hater reacts to whatever' are so old, so 2016 but many continue to pay attention to it and in part it is because some armys want to prove a point 🤓☝ or feel validated and I promise you that out there are normal people who are willing to listen to the boys genuinely as casual listeners or fans without having to click on every reaction video on youtube or pay a patreon membership to see people react to things that we can watch for free on the internet
I stopped watching reaction videos a long time ago, but a thing that really bothered me (now and then) is, that armys gave those reactors merch and albums and even concert tickets!! for free!! like? who are you giving a person that reacts to 5 bts videos free concert tickets?

Hello everyone, I would like to say that Murisan Family reached out and we had a very good conversation where we could learn about each other and talk about our differences and our stances stemming from this video. I would like to clarify that my end of the video rant wasn't really aimed at Murisan, but moreso the voting portion/some free stuff on patreon. Well, I'm happy to say that both of us want whats best for Bangtan and I am so happy to hear that we both can and will strive to be better. They responded positively to what I had to say and they want to promote votings, wait 24 hours and balance patreon. I appreciate and respect that and I also say it is infinitely more courageus than the other content creators that I know have seen the video but will turn a blind eye to it.
So for that reason I do want to apologize to Murisan and the harm/hurt I caused. I am sorry. I am happy we got a good conclusion to this but I still am not proud of putting them in the heat with the rest. I don't think that they are fake, nor that they don't actually like Bangtan/or that they don't buy their own merch. I think they got swept into that unfairly and got grouped up with others that are on an entirely different realm. I am sorry and I will do better in the future. I just want us on TH-cam to do what we can to help the boys.. it's frustrating seeing people look at them like a business, like a honey pot. I will always fight for what I believe is right and I do not regret a thing about the other callouts in the video. It is ridiculous to me what they're doing and they hide behind a purple wall (ARMY).
My methods can be criticized and I am not absolved of blame, nor am I perfect in my way of conveying what I wanted to convey, although it came from a place of frustration, a place of wanting to be better, it could've been done better. I want to win us to win more Daesangs, to top more charts and to always keep the purple flag flying high. A dynasty can be rebuilt if it's destroyed from the outside, but it is forever gone when crumbled from the inside. People might not agree with me or my methods but I will call out behavior that seems harmful and I will expect the same to me from you guys. In the end, I and them and hopefully others really want is to help Bangtan as much as possible. Let's vote and do our best and stream when we can!!

Here's the thing - some reactors are actually not fake but they picked up bad practices from fake reactors. If you are going start doing something, you're going to look at the other people doing the same thing to see how things work and unfortunately so many pick up bad practices from people for who in this is mainly for the business. It's gotten to the point that knowingly or unknowingly BTS reactors are usually more unethical than non-BTS reactors on Patreon. And if you try to inform them of it or call them out on it, their fans will shut you down. So it escalates to a confrontation.
Some people refuse to see how lopsided the relationship is between BTS and so many of these BTS reactors where they feel entitled to take everything from BTS and don't care about giving anything back.
Good on Murisan Family for having an honest conversation and wanting to do what's right! That's the real ARMY spirit.

Also those multi YT channels react to every group possible to milk views from every K-pop fandom, not because they’re actually interested in K-pop
Shiki and Tribe Loui are the only REAL/AUTHENTIC ARMY reactors.
What is crazy about CCW is that they claim they are BTS fans, but don't remember stuff they have watched before as well as songs they have heard before unless it is one of the most most popular ones. Really shows they don't listen to their music and rewatch content. They also have the most basic image of each of the boys personalities. For example, for them Hobi is the bright one that shouldn't curse and suga is the cold, quiet, uninterested one. Like ?????
Also I am not surprised they don't promote voting and streaming as they don't know a single thing about what is happening in the fandom and with BTS. Aparently they have a channel on their discord where "their fans" update them about EVERYTHING. And they have summary writers that tell them stuff about what they react (which has wrong information). They don't do a thing besides filming themselves, receiving everything they have for free and getting money out of BTS.
And something that I found out recently is that apparently they laugh and make fun of us here on youtube with their primos on discord whenever the comments tell them they are doing or saying something wrong. And it makes sense why when you tell them they are doing something wrong their fans will defend them by saying that you are the problem, that you are a hater and should just leave. But the fact that they show somewhere that they don't care and just laugh.....They don't care about BTS for real. Also them having a whole team just to react to BTS doesn't seem to me like they are doing this just for fun and because they are fans.
Them receiving free stuff has always bothered me, because they have mentioned seeing BTS albums on target, but you know instead of buying them for themselves, if they really want them, they just wait to receive them for free along with merch. A few months ago they mentioned certain merch items they don't have and instead of saying 'we should get them' or 'it is fine' they repeated it later on. Because they know they will receive it at some point so all they have to do is casually mention what they are missing. It is just wild they want to receive merch, albums, figurines, etc. but don't know a thing about what they receive. They don't know what they receive, what the inclusions are, the era it came out, the reasoning, meaning, etc. They just say 'wow', 'pretty' and that is it.
Then their whole family frindly bullsh*t. I don't know if they are aware BTS have never claimed to be family friendly, but they sure try to keep them that way. The boys have always expressed themselves, their stories, experiences through music and have been so real about it. But these four come here and decide that certain things are wrong as if BTS were cursing or talking about difficult topics justcause and not because there is a story behind it. Even Seven has it, Jungkook wanted to be seen as more mature. They really overreact when they hear a member curse and not in the way we all do which is a mix of surprise and excitement.
Also their fans have tried to defend them by saying they feel uncomfortable being filmed while listening to bad words, etc. But their earlier reactions is them reacting to House of the Dragon....and on their other channel (because one channel and patreon was not enough) they have reacted to content that is not family friendly. Guess they only feel uncomfortable when it is BTS.
And don't get me started on their patreon. Crazy how they say they can't upload Run BTS episodes of youtube because they will lose their channel, but can upload Run Jin which is basically the same content. And people have told them to make them free on patreon, but pretend those coments don't exist. Although I strongly feel they (and any other BTS reactors) shouldn't have a patreon at all. Paid content isn't even an exception because if you pay to watch something is because you really want to watch it and enjoy it. But is seems that the rule is that reactors should get that money they spent back like ???? If they want their money back then don't buy anything in the first place. Because at the end they do get the money they spend on paid content back, but also they make even more money from it. Using BTS as their money maker.

The minute they posted that first po box video I realized what they were in it for and then they made a patreon and put Run episodes on it and I could only shake my head. If only the "army" who constantly defend them, stood up for BTS and army that are being taken advantage of, instead of defending them making thousands of dollars a month off of the hard work of BTS.
I remember when their army editor(not sure if they got a new one) used to put edits of them wishing for the things that "army" were sending to them in their po box videos, cause they couldn't afford some of the merch. And all i could think was, 1. i hope they're paying them to edit their videos, and 2. why can't they send some of the stuff they receive to the editor, especially because they were just getting into BTS and the stuff would definitely mean more to the editor than it would to them. I haven't really watched a po box video, or most of their videos in general, since because youtubers accepting things through po box has always sort of grossed me out ( even if these people are willingly sending it)
Every so often i will tune into their videos and they way they treat reactions like they're just checking another video off the list and not actually interested in the content of the song or whatever it is their watching makes me so annoyed. Sometimes the discussions are actually pretty good and then the one lady will rush the others along if they're talking too long because i assume she wants to move onto the next reaction.
When are youtube "army" going to learn that many of these reactors only see us and BTS as dollar signs??
Also, one of the reasons I feel more strongly about this channel over some of the other channels is because they're touted as a channel of people who are "real BTS fans", who really "care about the music" and a lot of other channels are a bit more obvious that they don't care. But if they really cared they wouldn't put things behind a paywal. And sorry but the excuse of "TH-cam blocked it" for why certain things are on the patreon... they just uploaded an episode of Are You Sure?, a disney + show!! to their youtube but episodes of Run have to be on the patreon...

Tbh I was SO surprised when Tribe Loui didn't monetize the patreon (he was the 1st one I knew didn't) and I was so happy bcs I've been here since 2016 and I've ALWAYS unsubscribed when they make a patreon for simple reactions. If it's not smth original, I'm out. Bcs why TF would I spend $20 for a maybe reaction or a reaction in general when the OG content is FREE. Yes, that was disappointing. Even while BYS is being dragged by Min Her Jin, there was nothing from them or any of these creators to share solutions to the Army that could be collectively done to counter false and negative media about BTS.

Could not agree more. And if I'm being honest reaction videos are not work... I know that is going to offend people but that is just the truth. The ones putting in the real work and hours of practice are BTS themselves. All they are doing is reacting to someone else's original content.
@@victoriacrudup3477 Exactly. This is why it doesn't make sense for people to claim they 'deserve' to be paid for making reactions. It's not that it doesn't take any time or effort to make a reaction video, of course it does, but in almost all cases the content they're creating has a very mild amount of actual input, most of what they contribute is just a few facial expressions and comments while playing the actual original content created by BTS, maybe with a bit of chat afterwards... it's no different from what the rest of us do in our own rooms, they just film it!
The harsh truth is, reacting to other people's work should be seen as a hobby not a career. If you want to do it for fun, because you genuinely enjoy it or you really love an artist, that's great! But you can't expect people to pay you to do it. If a few people love your content so much they want to donate that's their choice, but treating a reaction channel as a money-making scheme is immediately suspect to me. I understand some people use Patreon to react to content they can't show on youtube, but you can have free tiers on Patreon, there's no need to charge.
Even with the more dedicated fan channels who add real commentary, there shouldn't be an expectation of payment... what are they doing that other fans aren't doing for free? Talking to a camera and uploading takes a little effort, true, but SO many fans are putting in more effort with no expectation of payment. So many fans are running projects, translating, analysing lyrics, making edits, making art, writing essays, organising voting etc. and never ask to be paid. If some people want to donate to dedicated ARMYs who put in a lot of work that's awesome, but it should never be a demand or an expectation.

I just subscribed to your channel even though I might have never seen one of your reactions but I agree with you 100%. I am an older and quiet army in regards of social media but I stream and vote ALWAYS because to me I love and support BTS with all my heart! Some of these reactors use their looks and charms (but not genuine at all) and many armies fall for them. Please army save your money and enjoy BTS content on your own, remember the guys will be out next year and they will be holding concerts around the world and the money you are waisting on this so called 'reactors' you'll be needing in the future. this is sort of unrelated but i wish reactors would make more videos discussing bts' music beyond just initial reactions. make a video about your favorite bts songs and music videos and lyrics, your favorite songs from each album, your favorite album packaging and concept photos, your favorite Run eps and moments, your favorite bts songs for winter or summer, etc. even videos ranking albums and songs. Boracity is the only one who does videos like this & i wish more did.

Same! And even when occasionally someone does, it's often very shallow. There was a new channel that recently posted two videos like "I listened to every BTS song" and "I watched every BTS music video" which got 100,000s of views in a few days... and the videos aren't terrible? But they're just very shallow.
He made montages of himself listening to each album and vaguely nodding along. All songs are carefully cut at 3 seconds so they can't be copyright claimed and he can still monetize the video. Then he's like "yeah it was alright... pretty good... the lyrics are cool I guess (no mention of which ones)... my fave songs were [x] (no mention of why)." Then right on to the next album, same thing. Totally bland. No commentary, no explanation of why he liked/disliked anything. Just vaguely positive, kind of unenthusiastic. Then between albums there are these long random sections of him just vlogging his daily routine to pad extra time into the video and get more ad revenue.
But because he didn't hate on them, he's an attractive young man and he gave his male seal of approval, people were eating it up and saying "WOW! Thank you for being sooo respectful! Thank you for not hating them! You actually listened to the albums? You're so dedicated! Please make more videos like this you're the best!!" I don't understand, are we that starved for praise or commentary?
Anyway, sorry for the rant! I would actually love more videos from real ARMYs talking about BTS' music and lyrics, and diving into what the songs mean to us, and all the interesting conversations they open up. We should make this a trend, get more real ARMYs to start youtube channels and build a proper community on here!

I would definitely watch a video highlighting positive things various reactors have done in relation to BTS and ARMY, as well as the naming of the seemingly genuine ones. For me exclusive BTS content is not what I require from a reactor, the genuine music enjoyment and curiousity in understanding as well as the (from some only occasional) insightful commentary is what keeps me subscribed.

Actually, I think Boracity did sorta make a video which included commentary on reaction channels. But I distinctively remember Bora praising Jared & Jordan because they do their research. But imo, I don't think their research is all that deep and their comments are often frivolous. I actually think they are the most exploitative of all the channels Shiki mentioned.

I agree with everything you said. There's a few channels that I used to enjoy, that I've now moved away from because they really do participate is some predatory practices. It's never felt right to me for people to have to pay for someone else to watch content that's free. BTS have the vast majority of their content as free because they know not everyone can afford it. And they work hard on things like RUN BTS or RUN JIN- for free. And that shows a love and care for their audience that some of these reactors do not.

Sad to say that the newest reactors to BTS got bigger so fast and their views got so many views but they barely know BTS..and it's so sad that many army's are watching and supporting them..and the ones who's really had a truest care and love for BTS like Shiki. There’s this channel ‘not so daily’, it’s two boys Kevin and David, they don’t react to kpop anymore(which shows that they were not in it for views) but they have been army’s since 2018/2019. They truly love and appreciate bts a lot

Thank you Shiki for bringing this to my awareness. Sadly i did subscribe to most of those reactors on Patreon. I have since cancelled all my memberships because i do believe i am being manipulated. Thank you for saving me money and making me realise some really unethical things many of these platforms are doing. Majority of them watch free content and charge a lot of money, which now that i think of it is absolutely ridiculous. None of them have brought attention voting, if anything smaller OT7 youtube channels have instead! 💯 And they get mad if you tell them they aren’t ARMY if they don’t vote, stream, promote, buy albums, etc. “I can enjoy BTS in my own way” they say. Well, then you are just a casual fan. ARMY does most if not all of the above, and they also protect BTS and other ARMYs from the predatory practices we see in the majority of reactors.
This is why I say the fandom has changed. Now that BTS is international we have a bunch of solo stans and bandwagoners as well as people who are using BTS to make money. I felt so bad that we couldn’t get Jin a win for MNet countdown. He’s been working tirelessly since discharging. We are the biggest fandom on earth and we failed him. But if it was the Maknae line they would have come thru because they have more solo stans than the hyung line. Plus we had all these Armys that left once BTS enlisted because they are not solo fans they are just BTS fans. I know people have lives and you have work and families. But you can’t tell me at some point in the day your not on your phone. We all know all of us right before we go to sleep we all have phone time. You can take a couple minutes during that time to vote!

I''m a 2018 army who started out on YT first in late 2017. reaction videos made BTS reach more people back then, reaction videos were genuine back then & people mainly did it for curiosity & i watched them because i was a new army back then too & it made me feel like i was discovering BTS with friends, then the YT army community became so useless that i had to go on twitter in late 2018 & it only went downhill on YT & more armys are getting discouraged with YT & are leaving because the fandom is dying here with old creators who were dear to our heart not being active anymore & YT itself being unfair to BTS. many old & loyal armys have given up on the platform sadly. but i don't agree with that, when things get hard, that's when we should hang in together so i urge armys to come to YT again because this was the platform that drove us at one point & rn we are missing out on a lot.
i want army friends on YT, not people who wants to use us for money & clout. like shiki said there are millions of channels who are associated with BTS in some way but it's so sad that i can only see true army friends in only 3-4 of them & shiki is one of those safe army spaces for me, so i just wanted to say thank you for being there for our boys & showing everyone what a real army looks like. Then when the situation with Suga started i wrote comments and even a private message to them asking them to show their support…even it was just focused reactions on Suga dedicated to him in that difficult situation and to react to the boracity video about this topic….but they didnt care and the response was really disappointing…i unsubscribed them

These channels are not the only culprits. What about ARMY who only makes an effort to vote for the maknae line? Jin, Suga, J-Hope, and RM also deserve # 1s. Especially that without the last three’s writing and producing skills, BTS would not be where they are.

As a baby army, Jin's loss on Mnet was both heartbreaking and eye opening... is this even the strongest fandom I used to hear about anymore? And the way he just keeps falling on streaming platforms and lists in several countries is so sad to see as well. After all the love he's shown us these past months, this is the way the fandom pays him? If these reaction channels call themselves "ARMY", they should feel this same anger at the current situation and promote voting and streaming for BTS members more than their patreons. BTS is the only reason they are relevant. It's so frustrating!!
The actual ARMYs that match BTS' energy in terms of putting in the work is a small ratio. Many are just there for the clout and free gifts or want the glory but don't wanna put in the work.
We’re also fighting other fandoms that mass vote against us. Either way, it really sucks.
I'm so sad bcs this is happening to Jin, the fandom is distracted and scattered, only a small fraction of active armies are doing sth for Jin while he's not given himself a single day of rest since he came back..
I think is because many hardcore armys(who vote, stream, report spam accounts, etc) are in hiatus, and there many more armys who genuinely like bts but are just here for the fun.

Yeah... The moment someone mentions "patreon" I unsuscribe. I watch other channels that have nothing to do with BTS or music aswell. Creators of different content like travelers for example, and they have to go to all those places and carry everything to film, I mean they make their original content and at least the ones I follow have never mentioned the word "patreon" now that I think of it. They just ask for your "like" and suscription. I am sure that Jin does not care for numbers, but it hurts to me how excited he was to be back to make us happy and We did not do what we always do. I agree that BTS reactors should organize things to promote voting and give back something to BTS, because THEY CAN.

The cousins were so much better in the beginning when they were learning but now they think they know everything except they dont know any of the little things about them..they dont research or even just read about simple things most armies know. They watched too many documentries at tge same time too. I think you learn more about tge guys watching funny videos lije Shiki does..l remember the first time l watched Shiki lnwas laughing my ass off and my kids were like ..whats is happening in there lol. You know what’s even worse about it. They all watch content where they can see the hard work and dedication of BTS and are always in awe of what Army has achieved and praise them for that, but somehow they never think of participating and paying it forward.

They know better and can do better. And a quick 2-3 minute video, a community post or mentioning it at the start of a reaction isn't asking too much of them.

Speaking the truth, Shiki. You have always been my favourite reactor. You are genuine, and do everything for BTS. Your patreon is free which very few other reactors do. You show people how to vote and your love, respect and passion for BTS shows in everything you do 💜💜
A lot of these people prey on the loneliness of others maybe not intentionally but still. There are people who have no one around them that they can talk to about BTS- ups & downs, songs, MV's, achievements, inspirations etc. so when they see reaction channels it boosts dopamine, especially if that channel is really relatable. People will pay to watch a reaction with someone than to watch alone, to eat alone, to laugh alone, to cry alone. People don't want to be lonely, but unfortunately a lot of people are and reaction channels can prey upon that because they know people will pay to not be alone, they will pay to relate to someone, pay for interaction, pay for parasocial relationships. It's really sad. and I get this because I live in The Bahamas and it's so hard to find people around me that like the same things, I feel like a whalien looking for my pod. I feel like Laboon from One Piece, crying alone. I have paid to watch reactors, I don't do so anymore because I can't afford it and also I side-eye a lot of the channels now. But these channels really could do the bare minimum and tell people to vote. and if they themselves don't know how to vote, then recommend channels like Shiki that can instruct on how to vote. Sighs.

What’s most weird about the channels that you mentioned (and thousand more) is that we have to pay to watch them reacting to contents that even bts gives us for free and the army content like live stage mix,live performance,etc……like army’s really need to wake up and call them out. There is also voting for Western music awards. The rules are posted on the websites. Jimin and Jungkook are currently nominated for “Best K-pop” for the MTV European Music Awards (EMAs).
I heard voting is promoted on X/Tw*tter by ARMY accounts, so you could follow them if you have an account. I’m not on there, as I don’t care for the owner.

Jose basically admitted this when he made a video when his account got a copyright strike and he thought it might get shut down. Went on about how he took the risk to make TH-cam his full time job and that if videos or his channel gets copyright striked he can no longer monetize them a.k.a he can no longer make money from the video. Stated he wouldn't know what to do if that happened 🙄. He then stated if the channel shut down he would just do everything on pateron, not even offering a free teir. Man showed his true colors and it baffles me that people actually defend him.

There's these new reactors called 'Playback boys'. They talk all over the music (mostly cracking jokes and inside convo) barely listening and then make random comments. Say yeah we liked it and close. It is soooo annoying. I watched them for the first few weeks and then just gave up because the amount of comments they got to pause when they wanted to speak and them not caring was just unbearable. Idk probably just me-
Same with CCW. It became monetary since they set up PO box and kept getting free albums

They also never read the comments. They started with JK and the amount of cringy comments from JK stans was overwhelming. When others called them out, it got very nasty. That continued for days. Never heard a peep from the playback boys. I don’t think they even read the comments.

I genuinely dislike the practices within the bts reaction sphere and im so so happy to see someone call them out outside of groupchats and army communities.
Shiki it's up to ARMY . WE are the ones to hold the reactors accountable to BTS and voting. If ARMY is not telling them about voting they won't KNOW about it. ARMY has a BIG role to play here.
They claim to be army themselves though, so like all of us are learning and staying updated, they should too. Just because they are publicly engaging with BTS doesn't make them special. All of us are busy and have jobs & do all this regardless. It is not our job to tell them bare minimum. However, keeping them accountable is needed in that to not give them views for doing nothing/bare minimum. And either way, how can we be sure people are not informing them already?

I used to watch a lot of reactors, but now we need genuine ARMY to react BTS content

Ben Kim puts all the music videos on his Patreon making you pay for them hybe has a channel for that diabolical making people pay for music videos on his channel only put compilation videos the Rest goes on Patreon

I'm pretty sure LVLUP and TribeLoui also don't charge Patreon, and they seem to genuinely appreciate the boys. And I also enjoy the communities they are fostering.
Another I'm subscribed to is Sleep Deez who is a producer introducing BTS to his producer friend, they are both hilarious and we learn quite a bit from them.
Gameboyy 310 is also great at analizing videos and lyrics and just appreciating the music, he is too sporadic in posting to be doing it for clout, and those of us subscribed always look forward to his next reaction.
I think I'm forgetting someone, but unless I'm proven wrong further down the line, these are the channels and reactors I support and will continue to watch regularly. All others are just for filler.
Oh, and (the?) Backstabbers are adorable and enthusiastic (sometimes too much), and seem to genuinely enjoy themselves and music, they also try to learn and are entertaining. I'm not subscribed as they react to all of k-pop, but I will always watch their BTS content.

I haven't watched a new BTS reactor in some time because most of them annoy me as soon as they yell their intro. I got to a point where if they have a "fanbase name" for their subscribers, I'm out. (Tribe Loui might be the only exception.) I'm too old and tired to be called someone's something.
Paid reactions are so morally wrong in my opinion. Donations would be much less questionable. Make everything free, accept donations from people who can and want to help. That's fine. But every single reactor and their mothers these days want to make sitting-in-front-of-a-camera-and-watching-stuff a full time job so they find a specific passionate group like anime fans, kpop fans or tv-shows fans and they milk the shit out of those people, feeding them with superficial, pointless content. It would be great if they added some valuable information and perspectives, made thought-provoking comments and actually put some effort and brain power into their videos, but they don't. I know anime reactors who have zero personalities, make $25k+ every single month and they watch anime on shady illegal websites. They are making in a month 20x more money than one animator made working on that exact show they're watching and yet they're not supporting the project, not even with one penny. That's not ok at all. Lately I've been nothing but infuriated by reactors.
Your channel is criminally underrated. Literally the only channels that i can wholeheartedly and confidently subscribe that does BTS content is, ofc, BANGTANTV, Tribe Loui, Boracity Magazine and after watching this, you. I've just unsubscribe one of the channels that you've mentioned. I initially thought they genuinely cared for BTS but after you pointed out some unspeakable facts, it shed a light on me and just did what had to be done.
Before this, I already unsubscribed to about 4 channels because I noticed that they are not really for BTS, but after the money they can get out of the contents they get for free. Most of them rarely react on YT like when they used to because they switched to Patreon to get paid. Sad.
I was truly surprised how many veteran reactors reacted to Jin's MV within 3-4 of it dropping. I love reactions but I haven't watched any of those because that was wrong. They knew that was wrong. They wanted the views bad enough to do it anyways. I'm not monetized on TH-cam or Tiktok but I did make posts to vote.

it just shows you because the quicker you get something out the more people see it and it goes higher in the algorithm so it's mostly to get the most views being prioritized

reactions and monetization of content that is supposed to be free (they love the copyright excuse lol) have been a problem forever, i wish armys wouldn't jump straight into subscribing to channels just because bts is in the title, many of these people might have good intentions but the moment they see the cloud they change a lot, they just overreact, they see the guys as dolls/characters, the way they breathe becomes a thirst trap, armys become their money transfers and and they just don't care about the main content: their music (they don't want to read the lyrics, they don't want to see live performances) is weird out there.
Also the provocative/clickbait titles like 'kpop/bts hater reacts to whatever' are so old, so 2016 but many continue to pay attention to it and in part it is because some armys want to prove a point 🤓☝ or feel validated and I promise you that out there are normal people who are willing to listen to the boys genuinely as casual listeners or fans without having to click on every reaction video on youtube or pay a patreon membership to see people react to things that we can watch for free on the internet
@aswanight those titles are the most disgusting turn off titles. Automatic cancel. Not sure how some are even remotely interested in it.

I stopped watching reaction videos a long time ago, but a thing that really bothered me (now and then) is, that armys gave those reactors merch and albums and even concert tickets!! for free!!

I noticed this thing about patreon. Everyone monetize Bts content, except you. That is one of the reason because I don't watch much of those reactors.

and most don’t pay for the content they watch, they use qdeoks or other streams. like why do i have to pay you to watch when you use illegal streams lol
Also if they support, only support the "pretty member" or the "popular one" is so sad they way they treat them forgetting all of them work so hard, some one on dance line, vocal line, composer/writer line, etc
