I always enjoy Viola's interview because she is so candid.
OMG she was the one whose idea it was to add the wig removal scene and the stillborn baby scene! These are 2 of the most iconic scenes in the show.

Watched the whole thing, what a woman, what an actress, what an ispiration of a human.
I have not gotten over the homophobic remark she made several years ago about not wanting her mother to watch her episodes with Eve and Annalise together. I have been disappointed and disillusioned by her ever since. She later came back and claimed she wanted Annalise's bisexuality to be treated with respect but she had already treated it with anything but respect. I'm no longer a fan.

Ms. Viola I knew for years but I did not know this brilliance. Fiercely well spoken. So proud and thank you from a 63 year old black woman, who still struggle not being able to be me. I'm different and always been. Many times I was the better chip but did not know the right person, and more challenging because my shade is different. More and more freedom, creates more creativity. I am so authentic is scares most people. Bless you for Life Ms. Viola.

Its interesting that she thinks Fences is about (Troy) Denzil Washington's character, when I saw it I thought it was all about her, The story stays in the house with Rose, it's a story about her! support, strength and sacrifice, of a weak man who really didn't deserve her.
When I first saw her in Far From Heaven, I was drawn to her & I noticed a spark. Her potential was clearly evident.
When I next saw her in Doubt, I knew she was really going places.

See, i like actors who interconnect their characters with their real lives. And they bring their real lives to their characters, whether they use joy, inspiration or even sadness (unless they are playing a bad person, then of course that’s different). I like that. I think it makes an actress or actor more grounded when they approach their work this way. I dont care for people who do shows or movies just for the hell of it. I dont follow many people but the ones i do, they are good. But theyre grounded and they are in touch with reality.
