All Eyez on Me is a 2017 American biographical drama film about rapper Tupac Shakur, directed by Benny Boom and written by Jeremy Haft, Eddie Gonzalez and Steven Bagatourian. Titled after Shakur's 1996 fourth studio album, the film stars Demetrius Shipp Jr. as Shakur with Kat Graham, Lauren Cohan, Hill Harper and Danai Gurira in supporting roles, with Jamal Woolard reprising his role as Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace from Notorious (2009).
Talks of a Tupac biopic began in 2011 by Morgan Creek Entertainment Group. The film languished in development hell for several years with various directors, including Antoine Fuqua and John Singleton, attached at different points before Boom was confirmed in November 2015. That December, Shipp Jr., whose father worked on music videos with Shakur, was cast as the singer and principal photography began that month. It lasted until April 2016, filming in Atlanta, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
All Eyez on Me premiered on June 14, 2017 at the Fox Bruin Theater and was released in the United States on June 16, 2017, on what would have been Shakur's 46th birthday. The film received generally negative reviews from critics, but a more positive response from audiences, and grossed $54 million worldwide.

I don't like how they made Afeni Shakur look like an angry/bugged eye militant.Yes, she was a militant, BUT, that woman was charming, gracious, and extremely eloquent.Whole movie was a fukking sham!!...I will say, tho....I thought the guy who played Pac was ok.He had the potential to be better if given a more professional production/writing team.They didn't give him anything to work with.Not only that, it was his first time acting.I think with a lil more training, and like I said, better production/writing, that guy could pull it off.

Foreal doe, it’s a fucking shame how much the Tupac movie sucked.
Like, the Biggie movie, Notorious, was fucking AWESOME. The script was dope, it covered all the important shit that needed to be covered without going on for more than 2 1/2 hours and losing people’s attention for going on too long, and all the actors did a dope ass job, especially the dude they cast as Big.
But then you have the ‘Pac movie, a movie about a rapper that’s JUST as famous and revered as Biggie, and actually has a little bit *more* mystery surrounding his death, considering he was most likely the catalyst for Biggie getting murdered, his alleged prediction of his own death and how he always believed that he’d die at a very young age.
And after ALL that great material you’ve got for a movie, they come out with this disjointed bullshit with no real narrative, it tried to cover *everything* VERY quickly, which totally screws up the pacing and makes it hard to get any decent story out of it.
And don’t even get me started on that SHITTY fuckin’ dub-work over the guy playing Snoop Dogg. When you put the artists *actual* voice over an actor playing him, it throws you off and sticks out in a bad way. Because it’s the EXACT voice of the rapper, coming out of an actor that *kinda* looks the rapper, so it toootally sticks out bad, and brings you out of the movie.
Tupac’s life can’t be condensed into a movie, would need to be a Netflix series…and really great actors to play him throughout his life

As a die hard Pac fan since the age of 12, I honestly enjoyed the movie heavily. I think they did a good job going through his whole life and career up until his death. I definitely felt like the guy’s acting was off a little bit in certain scenes, but never enough to take me out of the movie. I gave the movie a solid 8 out of 10.
