Well honestly, removing gluten and dairy will reduce bloating, indigestion, upset stomach, diarrhea which is why there are many that are passionate about the removal because of the physical and mental benefit of being able to eat without discomfort. It is hard not to eat gluten and dairy because both are utilized almost every restaurant (especially in the U.S.) but it can have a great impact on quality of life.

you have IBS because you are eating too much processed carbs/sugar. Eat more animal protein and animal fats. Eat organic veggies and fruits. But most importantly lower your carb intake. Animal protein fills me up the most. And keeps me away from carbs. Try it

I feel your struggle with these food sensitivities. Being Italian without being able to consume the vast majority of foods I was raised on and love immensely is still a shot to the heart after almost 9 years. No dairy. No/minimal gluten (have to take gasX extra strength, Chamomile tea, and senna tea when needed). I never ate meat growing up aside from fish and the occasional chicken. Mental fortitude is a must to develop and learning to be secure with whatever body struggles/physique you can manage. You have global support and I personally appreciate you being so transparent and REAL! Much love Krissy! ❤️

You are strong and brave woman. I discovered the channel a week ago and I have already learned a lot. I suffer from IBS and in quarantine (covid), I tried eating clean as possible, I stopped drinking cow's milk (now only alternative) and it was at that time that I discovered what made me bloat "too much". I discovered that tomato, cucumber, red meat, pasta (wheat) was a trigger but I have to say oatmeal was the more difficult to cut completely!! Today I'm better and I also try to gluten free as much as possible. Thank you for sharing and honesty that every day we fight to be better people to ourselves. Thanks 🇵🇹

I swear this video could not have come at a better time! I have been told I have IBS-C and I cannot seem to have control over my body. Whatever I try does not seem to be working. I have also switched to a gluten-free diet to try and reduce bloatness. Also trying probiotics and peppermint oil supplements...desperate times but I feel so much better knowing I am not alone in this struggle of trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong (when you thought you had everything under control!! *eating healthy, working out, drinking 2L+ water a day!*). I LOVE YOU KRISSY, keep blessing us with your honesty and please share more of this journey as this has really provided me with some relief.

Krissy - about two years ago I was diagnosed with a chronic bladder syndrome, and the main treatment line is dietary changes, so I had to completely rearrange what I eat. Krissy- I’m a nurse, my heart just broke to hear you have chronic pancreatitis! You’re the picture of health and have enriched so many peoples lives via your journey. Chronic pancreatis is either caused from alcoholism (which couldn’t be further from you!!), or an obstruction of the bile duct leading to the gallbladder causing the acids which break down your food to back up into your pancreas. Most bile duct obstructions can be repaired! I’m praying for you and sending you all the love in the world and most of all health ♥️

My dear Krissy. I used to suffer from acne as an adult and it resolved when I stopped eating dairy. I use walnut milk and switched to ice cream made with coconut milk. The difference has been amazing! Your body will love it. I use a vegan protein from Garden of Life that has probiotics and digestive enzymes, another plus. I had two hernia surgeries last year. I recovered, became a Zumba instructor and I’m getting back into strength training inspired by you. Thanks for being an inspiration and keep on going. You’ll get used to your new place and your new nutrition. Sending you good vibes!

May you heal well. I had to do no dairy and gluten for many years because I literally was going through dark night of the soul period in my life to learn about why I’m here on the planet. Now I’m a light for many in my community and feel more stable in a place where I love to live. I was able to start adding dairy back in!
According to Louise Hay’s book, Heal Your Body, each organ and dis - ease correlates to our inner world/thoughts. With yours, it says:
    - Pancreas: Represents the sweetness of life.
    - Pancreatitis: Rejection. Anger and frustration because life seems to have lost its sweetness.
She gives some affirmations you can say to yourself in order to change our thinking in order to have health back 💖

Hey Krissy! First of all I'm really sorry you have to deal with this condition, but I'm very confident you will manage it very well! However, I'm not sure why you were told that you can't have gluten or dairy? Of course I don't know your entire medical record but the standard diet for chronic pancreatitis does not exclude either. I'm a nutritionist and I never heard of this, so I'm very curious as to why you need to cut these foods out! Would love to hear your insight on this! 💙

I built my first house after renting for years and for about a year and a half my home did not feel like home. I went from loving very close to family to moving a little farther away. Even my daughter preferred staying with her grandparents all day vs our house. But I made sure to start having more home made meals at home and movie nights and making memories in our new home and there’s now no other place I’d love to relax and spend my time. I recently moved and it’s been 3 months now in transition. I know exactly how you are feeling. It will definitely take time to adjust but you will grow to love it and make it feel like home. Best advice I could give and what helped me is to recognize how you are feeling and allow yourself to go through the emotions. Know that it is normal to feel the way you are feeling. Look for all the positives in why you decided to make the move in the first place and all that fear, anxiety and worry will just eventually disappear. Remember your WHY to remove the negativity and back to a place of happiness. Wishing you a healthy transition on your new food journey as well ❤️

Hi Krissy! A quick tip. Sunflower oil is actually very inflammatory (so im guessing the butter also). So are all vegetable and seed oils. Healthy alternatives are extra virgin high quality olive oil, coconut oil and avocado oil (be weary they usually mix avocado oil with other oils). Butter and Ghee are also great options.

When Krissy pulled out the Women's Best chocolate fudge whey protein that she could no longer consume, I literally burst into tears because she was the one who inspired my protein oatmeal routine years ago to this day, and also the first brand of whey protein I purchased. I changed my diet to anti-inflammatory foods, dairy-free and gluten-free to help with my skin and I saw a massive change after 2 weeks. I know it's a struggle at the start but it gets easier. All your meal ideas look really yummy and I'm keen to try some out!

I recently became intolerant to gluten and eggs! As well as having IBS (and I've always been mostly dairy free because of that.) It's difficult at first figuring out what you can and can not eat; but it gets so much easier and second nature. Researching different brands and types of dairy free cheeses, ice creams, milks and gf breads etc will help a lot too! There are many AMAZING foods that you'll grow to love

I’m so sorry to hear you were in pain, but glad you got a diagnosis! I’m thinking though (I know you didn’t ask for advice but here goes) sunflower oil is inflammatory. Can you use ghee? Or I’d try to find a spread made with avocado 🥑 oil. Good luck!

I have chronic gastritis, IBSC and twisted intestines. Very recently diagnosed. I am having a hard time physically and mentally too adjusting. We can do this though!!!! Hey Krissy I find your honesty so relatable. I was the fit girl. Had the six pack abs and toned arms but then I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and had to cut/watch my diet and give up certain foods I enjoy like carbs and desserts. I tried to be positive and look for alternatives throughout else I think I might go crazy restricting. While it only lasted for a couple of months until I got the all clear after delivery, I can understand how it feels to limit the foods you enjoy because of a health issue. Keep going and thanks for being so open and sharing.

I understand your struggle Krissy, and it's completely normal to feel sad about this situation. I had many restrictions for 1 year due to health problems. No sugar, no gluten, dairy, red meat, starchy vegetables, legumes and had to lower my carbs intake as well. It was mentally really hard, and I lost a ton of weight.
Be careful to not become food obsessed and develop eating disorders, because it's what happened to me. It changed completely my relationship with food and I'm still trying to cope. Don't want to scare you, just take care of yourself please! 💙

Thank you for being so real with your life. 💕 I just went on a 9 day cleanse after reading a book about food and the toxicity out there. I totally get having to change your eating habits. I do recommend Simply Eggless as egg replacement. It’s a liquid vegan egg made from lupin beans and it’s gluten free! Another great thing is that you can bake with it 🤯 I love your vibes, companies and wholehearted personality. Thank you for always inspiring me! :)

I highly recommend going to see a naturopath and getting a bio-resonance test. It will tell you what your body is sensitive/allergic to and what to avoid. Mine showed up a bacteria found in egg whites and asparagus as well as a few other strange things I had no idea about. I have since cut those out and feel so much better. It also tells you what areas or organs are weakened and need supporting such as your adrenals or pineal gland (sleep deficiency) etc. Honestly a game changer!

I’m so glad that you made this video and kept it real, showing that it’s a struggle to start over. I’ve struggled with IBS for years, as well as kidney issues on top of having a hysterectomy at 24 years old. It’s completely changed my body and I can’t eat dairy or gluten anymore. I have 3 children and an Italian husband. We LOVE food (pasta lol). I’m still learning! It’s hard to find good recipes that make everyone happy.

I've ben gluten and dairy-free for so far three years? The first few months were hard but eventually, I discovered more recipes, people with the same situation, and who I can learn from, many stores that specially cater to the things I'm intolerant to, plenty of recourses to find alternatives and there are so many freakin brands out there that make life so much more easier! (even ice cream that tastes even better than the original dairy one in my opinion!) so don't stress abt it, Krissy, little baby steps but it's totally worth it! Finding the right lactose-free protein powder will be a bit tricky because I too consumed a horrendous amount every day before until I switched to a vegan alternative due to my intolerance.
(also make sure that you surround yourself with people that support you with your food choices and health-wise and that doesn't pressure you into eating something that you have restricted - I had a few toxic and difficult friends AND family members that didn't respect my diet...it was mentally stressful and ugh.) xx

Wow, that's some crazy events all happening at once. I am not surprised that the move's transition has been challenging. Changing your diet because you have to isn't easy and then an unwanted move. I am so sorry. With time, the food gets better and you learn to love other things to help with the transition of food not bring as much joy. I will be thinking of you in this hard season! You've kept such a positive outlook for this video switch I hope means you have an incredibly supportive group of people around you. I had to go dairy and gluten free last summer and it is always a struggle to find food but it does get easier 😋 the main problem is having to plan ahead as you have to know what or where you're eating as soon as you begin the day, it makes you compulsively think about food - but it does get easier. Becky Excell is known as the queen of gluten free FODMAP foods if you feel like you're missing out she has loads of great information 💙 xx
