I love it! Wonderful presentation. Should a thermal runaway occur and we need to replace a portion of the entire pack - what will that process look like? What maintenance protocols will be required, and who will be allowed to service the battery assemblies? I have to be clear - I don't expect to be able to replace a single 18650. But if a portion of a pack or a cell fails - hopefully we can order a new component of the overall battery set and be able to replace it ourselves. Let me know, because it's a part of life with lithium batteries, not just for fire. Some get weak over time. The Prius allows the end user to replace individual cells. Hopefully we will not need to ground the aircraft over a single cell failure or degradation, or to send that entire tube back to Germany for service. Let me/us know... Inquiring pilots want to know what the future looks like!
Where is the video of a cell in thermal runaway in the wing, with gas venting? Temperature monitoring of surrounding structure also? Was this actually demonstrated?
Too heavy, lacks the 'adaptability' of other designs - missed the mark Schleicher........... all the new EASA certified electric self launched gliders have to meet 'safety standards'
Great to see that you invested a lot of time to make it as safe as possible 👍

Super!
