Good review!! Remapping is done in many places and the prices vary too. As mentioned we can upgrade according to the driving capability. Nowadays small segment cars like swift are good to commute in the city and also in highway. But the stability is poor, so far guys who are good at driving can opt for more power, otherwise it's a risky proposition.
Swift is a tincan and not even safe at its present configuration only mad people will want to remap it.

Normal budget cars will get into lot of trouble by doing remaps - clutch, transmission, turbo, exhaust everything will take a toll because the safety factor in those cars will be very less like 10-15% of the factory tune. Just think which car manufacturers will spend much more, so that your car can be remapped in near future - No one will. The remap will cross the safety limits and will cost you dearly in spares as the wear & tear will be so so higher. If you have 2-3 cars in your garage and you can risk a car with a remap then go for it (as few people are bored with money and time as they don't know what to do with them) , if there is only one car which is your daily driver then don't even think about it.
The thrill of your engine pushing you in to the seat is not worth of your hard earned money !

Manufacturer knows the limit by maping your ecm your increasing power but the same time you're damaging your engine and all other mechanical parts in your car if the life span of your engine 3 lakhs it can be reduced to 2 lakhs customer can feel happy after maping but when it ages you might be in trouble
You need to do some research. If you are doing only remapping ecu won't make any issue in your car. Stage 1 is safer in any way.

Birla sir hats off to u, bec before the interview of ECU u might have done a study on it, I really appreciate your hard work, and the topic is very very useful to the subscriber's bec even my car as the same power pulling problem, means a pick up is very low when I travel to my native to Pondicherry bec I have to cross Hosur & Krishnagiri the forest up places the pick up is very low, even two wheeler overtakes me I feel very bad at that time. So thanks for suggesting us for ECU, but one thing u missed us to inform basic casting for doing ECU for normal cars see I have very old model of FAIT PALIO STILE 1.6v engine petrol. Does this effect the mileage pls update us if possible... Thanks a lot 🙏🙏🙏

Bro, As am a Automobile Engineer, I don't suggest because it reduces car life!
But if u want more speed, thrill of driving, racing, u can tune it.
One more if u have more money for petrol u can tune or modify it.
U can also increase mileage by tuning but, speed and pickup reduced.
Automobiles also like human beings bro!
