Sands' argument is basically like saying Harry Potter is bad because if you pick up a stick and wave it around while speaking broken Latin, there's no way you're going to win a fight.
Also, Sands having that image on his phone is kind of suspicious. It's ironic too, because the fact that someone made that very adult fan art is proof that Ninjago has an adult/teen fanbase.

You know what really infuriates me? When I see people say "Ninjago should have ended after season 2" or "New Ninjago is trash compared to old Ninjago" and the people making these comments haven't even seen Ninjago since 2012.
Agreed, it happens so often and I’m tired of it... Calling an entire era of Ninjago bad just because of design changes or minor format changes is really disrespectful to the show in my opinion. There are always going to be weaker seasons for different people, but seeing people automatically dismiss a whole era of Ninjago especially when they haven’t even seen it is just hard to see. I wish people could be more open-minded instead of automatically assuming new = bad :/

@@CalvinNoire I did not like the movie. However the new sets and even the movie sets themselves are still good. I haven't watched ninja go in some time cause it dousn't appeal to my interests. That is not to say I hate the show. I really can't say how I feel about the show now cause I do not watch it any more so even if the new looks from the movie may ha e changed the show that would not be any reason to hate it.
Honestly I’m willing to give new ninjago a try I watched seasons 1-8 and I hated the new design but I could get used to it.

It was explained in the pilot season of Ninjago that Spinjitzu is a a attack pattern that is done extremely quickly which creates the Tornado factor and not just spinning around. Spinjitzu might be just spinning very quickly around and around in the newer seasons ,but that is not the original idea

The classics are just unforgettable, the new ones aren't bad, but the old ninja are just better, for nostalgia.
And it's even fine if you don't like the new designs, but to jump to conclusions and automatically assume the entire show is bad just because the designs changed is ridiculous. Especially when seasons 8-9 have like the best lighting, animation, story, and music the show's ever had.

I think every Ninjago fan can agree that Season 10 wasn't as great as we were hoping for after 2 of the best seasons of the show, 8 and 9. After the let down of March of the Oni, for me, it started going uphill with the S11 Fire and Ice Chapters.
I even watched a random TH-cam video that was entitled: "LEGO Ninjago is kinda dumb", and it was met with a huge backlash. Tanner even made a response video regarding it...

I at one point hated Ninjago because it had many problems and no answers and I was upset because nexo knights got cancelled but going back on it now I'm happy I disliked it because now I settled in myself and got to enjoy the none problem's and find ways to solve it on my own

The ninjago movie completely went off of the storyline! By the time Nya joined the ninja, they had already discovered how to use their elemental powers without they're golden weapons. So... yeah. The Lego Ninjago movie was bad. Also, in the movie, the Ninja kept their identities secret, but in the show, they were very open about their identities. Also, in the show, Garmadon actually cared for his son very much, and he saved him from the serpentine many a'time. I'm not saying Ninjago is bad, I'm just saying the movie is bad.

Spinjitsu is elemental power spinning around them and it gives them better reflexes speed and strength and they actually don't spin in there like crazy the character is spinning slowly inside of a tornado made from their elemental power

I stopped watching ninjago. I just found other interests in television. The toys however have continued to get my interest and though I haven't bought one in some time I keep checking to see what will come up next. Stop complaining about things you don't like and go finds what interests you.

That's was actually just a meta joke. Time travel didn't actually change the way the Ninjago look because the Ninja look the exact same in flashbacks. For them to change means that time would have needed to be rewritten, which it wasn't.

Yeah, in some scenes, you can see the inside of the tornado where the characters are moving and perceiving much faster than others while fighting.
I just want to address something. Seasons 1-6 were written by The Hagemans. Day of the departed and hands of time were written by someone else and got a lot of hate. Seasons 8-9 were written by the Hagemans and everyone love it. Season 10 had a little hate though the hagemans were only a little involved in it. Seasons 11-15 have a lot of hate and is written by someone else
My opinion is once the design changed the show changed. As much as I try to get into the rest of the season I have no joy watching them. I don’t even enjoy season 8.

Well the thing that I don't particularly like about Ninjago is, that it absorbs all things that could get an own theme and we wouldn't have to slam ninjas into the sets.
The sets themselves are fine, but sometimes I feel like it doesn't necessarily should be Ninjago and could be better if they were not. For example, the new "underwater subtheme" would imo be cooler if it was a kinda "futuristic explorers and divers" theme instead of Ninjas under water. But thats just my opinion.
It is sort of odd that they are suposed to be ninjas but elemental power and such just makes it wierd in my opinion. Then the series kickes off with all these crazy advdntures like skybound and such that seam to make it seam like they have no reason to be ninja's like when do they actually fight and use ninja skills? It's the elemental powers and often the four weapons like the golden weapons that they use. I liked classic ninja with shoguns' ninjas and thieves in real world situalons like an actuall anciant japan or something. Ninjago is a great theme but the name seams sort of off. Ninja was more of a way to hook kids cause ninjas are cool and they added the elemental powers and spinnjitsu to add to the hype. I just feal it should have had a diferent name more fitting the show. It's like calling dbz fighters ninjas. Ninjago is still cool and I wasn't trying to hate on annything it just seams odd to me.
3:23 ninjago is based on Chinese mythology and some fantasy elements and some old Chinese houses look the same so it's like hating on aquaman because he has under water sets for being the same did they never seen water oceans and that aquaman theme will be nice and 2nd Lego always has big sets Star Wars fans always get the Death Star and no one is angry at them if you hate some thing fine your opinions but saying other people suck because they love things that hater doesn't like is just a toxic waste of your time so don't be toxic be awesome in your own way and thx for being awesome

I watched Ninjago slot when I was younger but i kinda grew out of it by season 11. But I still respect the show and how happy it made me

I genuinely like the film and aside a few negative aspects, I prefer it to the show. you could say that it's an unfair comparison seeing as they are widely different but oh well.
the number one positive aspect of the film is making lloyd's element a metaphor for life instead of literal *e n e r g y.* It gave lloyd a clear arc to go on throughout the film and it massively improved his character.
I still very much enjoy the show but after season nine, it felt...joyless? It felt like they were throwing every idea at the wall, seeing what stuck and writing it into a season.
It's sad there's dislikes on this video, but it's funny because there's 69 of them

I grew up with Ninjago, and it's straight nostalgia. The lego Ninjago movie was pretty bad and didn't follow the lore at all. The older seasons are much better, and the new ones are okay, but I'm definitely rewatching the entire show soon. I just love the old design of the lego movies and shows. Don't get me wrong, the new Lego movies and shows are good, but they just don't have the nostalgia. The animation in my opinion from the older lego shows and movies just gave the characters more depth than just lifeless toys in a human world. all my opinion tho. Anyone who watched the old lego shows or movies know what I'm talking about.
I like ninjago and monkiekid equally, ninjago is my childhood and monkiekid is something that I enjoy cause of the animation. I think it would be cool to see what Ninjago would look like in Monkiekid style just to see differences. I don't think i'll be able to choose over the other

I do love it when people describe spinjitzu as just spinning, even when there is proof of what spinjitzu looks like from the perspective of the elemental master. Really makes you question how far people are willing to look into something.

Why i hate ninjago? Its because lego doesnt make any other original theme because of it.
