After a couple months now, man, i freaking love it. I do wish it had electronic trim tabs for the big ship channels but it’s been a dream shallow water fishing platform for my needs. Sips gas and once you get the trim and Jack plate dialed in and know how it likes it, it’s the perfect boat for out here in the shallows and just enough to go fish the jetties or go to the reefs on a smooth day. I just put an order in for a matching x3 32’ w dual 350’s for my family and deep sea platform.
Also, if you ever are in the aransas pass rock port Corpus or port a area, and want to get footage of the boats running. That could be fun/cool. Snakeup19@gmail.com
Hey thanks for the video...their marketing does suck...also the website should be updated. I got turned on to these buy a fishing buddy...got a chance to P/U a new one where the guy who was going to buy it couldn't follow thru...going on Tuesday..wish me luck
@@bigkahuna7955 hmmm, I’m used to electric trim tabs and the trim tabs that come with them are manual and if you get it wrong it’ll cause some porpoising. Def don’t charge your batteries with the battery switches on, drained mine):. A 12” Garmin would be nice over the 9”. Adding the 2 additional speakers would be nice but not necessary. I really am trying to think and can’t think of much. The trailer bumper is a lil tricky when loading at the launch of the ramp has any drastic decline, when loading the bumper can be higher that the bow so gotta be careful of that.
Just wondering have you made any videos on the shallow sport in the water running skinny or fishing I am in the market and plan on purchasing one just wanted to see some videos and here you advice on them we fish a lot down south areas.
I have not had an opportunity to get any footage running but i think SS took my advice and they have started posting more videos of their new boats running skinny. Check out their instagram page. I freaking love this boat for the Texas gulf. It’s perfect. I highly recommend electric trim tabs if you can. My only regret on my build. I love my configuration and would build the exact boat again. 24’ might be better if you’re fishing 4 people, but i love my 21 bc i usually fish solo or with one of my kids. I’ve had no issues so far except one bad battery. The quality is there. I’m sure i could resell now for close to what i paid. Good luck with your purchase! You shouldn’t have any reservations on pulling the trigger. 🙌🙌

I just love the 21 for ease of operation and it absolutely sips gas. If you’re ever in the aransas pass, rock port, port a area, I’ll be there!!! Hardest part is waiting for the build.
I customer ordered mine as well. No trim tabs. I got the impression I didn’t need them for a 21 footer. Wasn’t sure if they were upselling me something I didn’t need. Sounds like I’m going to need them based on your reply.
It’s not necessary I’d say but having them would be handy. Mine are adjustable but fixed. I have tabs just can’t do much about adjusting them while underway and if they are impacting the boat, you kinda have to work around the trim tabs. Not difficult and just my nit pick on the boat.
now that you've had this SS 21 Sport for a while, what has your general experience with it been and, specifically, how does it handle solid chop on the river or bay?
On a choppy day, you’re not going to want to cover a buncha miles but to get to your near by spots it’s handled the chop as you’d expect, pretty ok. Probably depends on your tolerance but def not made to eat it up. It’s never felt unstable or unsafe, just rough. Been a great boat, bullet proof durability and ease of ownership/maintenance. Not sure what the stand through is, but i have no complaints other than i shoulda gotta electronic trim tabs. For my area, this boat is perfect. I go out solo most the time. What is the stand through?
Depends on where I’m headed but it runs great at all speeds. Best cruise speed around 4000 rpm is about 30mph Jumps on plane hardly going 15mph and will stay level at low speeds. It’s been a great boat so far. Really perfect for my use, typically go by my self or w a buddy. 3+ i start wishing i was in an x3 but 90% of the time I’m solo w a dog.

I got the 206 Cayman but looking to make this same move, great set up you got man. Do you wish you would have got the stand through console?

@@snakegs4203 above the steering wheel, about the height of the windshield, they have an option that you have a standing platform to sight fish a bit.
