    The best descriptor I can give for Anvil was that he was a human tank. Dude was big but damn could he move and he was a fucking beast. That pro football background did him well. Perfect contrast to Hitman's technical background. The Hart Foundation, to this day, is my all-time favorite tag team. RIP Anvil! ❤❤

    I met Jimmy Hart when he was in the Central Florida area eating at the restaurant I worked. After we were done cooking and he was finished, I went to the exit to say hello. He was so nice and we talked for a minute. Took a picture I still have. A wonderful guy and Legend of the business. ❤🤘

    • @thickerconstrictor9037
      @thickerconstrictor9037 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are two things that are stopping it from being the best. Bruce being inconsistent due to working with wwe and Conrad as host. Conrad does his homework but he is the worst part of these shows. He's an obese mouth breather and not pleasant to listen to, he is combative and with the benefit of 20 to 30 years of retrospect acts like a smart Mark know it all despite being a massive Mark himself who only met these people because of who he's married to. He talks shit about so many things in WWE's past but sucks off aew despite it being fucking awful. These shows are still going to be listened to because guys like Bruce and Eric and Junior have been around for decades and have been involved in some of the biggest moments ever in wrestling, but people listen to these shows not because of Conrad but in spite of him. He's awful. Brian last with cornets drive through and the guy who hosts Kevin Nash podcast are both far better than conrad. He attempts to do impressions like Bruce and be funny but his impressions are stupid as fuck. I think when Bruce retires and assuming he still has his health when that happens, and he's willing to talk about what's been happening the past few years, I think the podcast will get great again.

    Bret did wrestle Anvil for the WWF title on house shows in 94. I believe it was called the Hart Attack Tour, I saw them in my hometown Stockton, CA, but they never got a storyline or TV match, which would a decent short term story, but I guess Bruce says they just didn't see it with The Anvil, Idk, I could've dug it just because of the history.

    I loved the question about why Anvil never wrestled Bret because that had never occurred to me either. That was the only good thing about this podcast between the sketchy coverage of the team’s history, the mistakes (it wasn’t ‘New Hart Foundation’, it was just ‘The New Foundation’), Bruce failing to answer half the questions and pretending he didn’t know certain stories when Conrad had raised them in previous episodes, not to mention Conrad’s boring name dropping (‘my ol’ pal Taz’ and ‘I’m buddies with the CEO’ etc). I’ve been a fan of this podcast for years but it’s run its course. Bruce is INCREDIBLY biased and untrustworthy and we just get the same old stories over and over. Other podcasts aren’t afraid to tackle current affairs - time to put a bullet in this one

    Not only was Anvil the character, he was the power. It didn't matter who they wrestled... if it was a technical team like the Rockers, you had Bret start off with one of them, matching them move for move. If it was a power team like Demolition, you had Anvil starting off, going toe to toe & chest to chest with one of them. He was the bully to Bret's finesse. It was the perfect combo.

    The reason why The Hart Foundation was so freaking good is because there wasn’t a match they couldn’t have. Demolition and the Road Warriors were big brawlers, matches could slow down. Arn and Tully were technicians, the Rockers high flyers and fast paced. Neither of them were much for brawling or power moves.
    Because Bret and Anvil were very different in skills and ability, they could do them all. When Dynamite was right, the Bulldogs are probably the only tag team that could do the same.

Well I dropped it on a sharp corner and I've never seen it happen, but the sharp point shoved a spot of skin up and pinched my alna nerve. It was so bad it actually killed the skin and made a rock hard black dot that looked like a third degree burn and then size of pencil lead. I'm 37 years old & I have a ton of respect for Jimmy Hart! The man is such a legend! BUT when I was a kid OMG I FREAKING HATED HIM! LOLOL!! He was really good at this drawing that hate out of me towards his character lol.
    But looking back I didn't know the real Jimmy Hart obviously.... No I put him up there with gene okerlund Hulk Hogan randy savage Bruce prichard....😉
