► 'Queen' legend Sir Brian May has been given a knighthood by King Charles for his services to music and charity. The guitarist responsible for some of the catchiest riffs on songs like 'We Will Rock You' and 'Bohemian Rhapsody' received the honour at Buckingham Palace.

In my opinion, Brian May is a hero and the epitome of a dignified British gentleman. His guitar playing has always had a strong emotional impact on me. I'm thankful for what Freddie and Brian have given to me with their music.
The funny thing about Brian doing the national anthem of God save...on the top of Buckingham Palace is that the very person who it was supposed to be an acknowledgement to in otherwords HM Queen Elizabeth II wasn't particularly impressed at all by it and referred to it as a noise.
Maybe if it had been now and it was for King Charles he may have appreciated it more.
Freddie Mercury should have been knighted by Queen Elizabeth. She said she had few regrets in life but one of them was never knighting Freddie.

It is an incredibly corrupt honours system and I am really surprised that Brian accepted. It is particularly hard to understand how an animal rights activist can accept a known corrupt award from a hereditary head that loves hunting and has lobbied for it to continue. These awards are given to many who pay for them as well as pedophiles, crooks, fraudsters etc

My Older brother's friend told me he got the new queen album, and at 11 yrs old I asked my friend is it the queen of England, he said thry from England, and just had to tease me of course. Then he played it on our nifty combo TV Record Player and AM/FM stereo, and jammed, then I realized it was the new band on the radio. He's still on tour!!

Question from a non-British, what did he get that title for? It can't be for the music as a Queen member, otherwise Roger Taylor and John Deacon would have had to get it too.
