I am a new subbie and have been enjoying your videos. Von had me cracking up when he touched the hot pan. He knew the pan was cooking on fire, but he proceeded to put his hands on it anyway and then asked Trina what possessed her to wash all of the mittens. HILARIOUS!!!!
I do understand the plating. I grew up with that as well. I even prepare plates for my grown children when they come over. It's something we were taught as young ladies back in the day. My grandparents did it, my mom did it, and now I do it. I will always serve my partner that way. I am old school mixed with some of the new, but not too much. I love what Von said about the level of understanding that works for you.
It's also very big in families who are either from Down South or who have Southern roots-many of them fix the husbands their plates first! Trina you and Von don't have to explain jack to nobody! It works for the two of you. I for one don't see anything wrong it. Each couple does what they like and what works for them.
