they had mics in the original version, but the recording was on a college budget (aka not very good) and a lot of the parts were drowned out by laughter.
just realized when they say "back to the place where our story begins" obvi it's true in the play, but also starkids' story kinda begins at hogwarts too and thats just so cool
i feel like meredith works for hermione in avpsy, because she's obsessed with lockhart, but bonnie works for school-obsessed hermione in the first two.

This was my very first time at Elsie and the only reason I went was because of StarKid. My first introduction to StarKid was AVPM when I was 13 and less then a year after it came out. To finally see them perform at 24 and to see how far they have come since then made me so happy and proud of all they have accomplished.

There's something about the way Dylan walked on stage and said "what's up?" that screams "I dunno where I am but I'm glad to be here!" Also why is he so damn charismatic, I screamed when he walked on stage.
