First people on the track should be officials with an all clear. nothing comes good from mad crewman running out on the track. Was the driver a little careless yes. But was the people on the track careless also. Yes, they all should sit out a few weekends. These tracks needs to start penalizing these crews for running on the track when it's unsafe.

There were two incidents. The first was Ruggiero taking Nasse high on the restart. That wasn't cool. But Nasse pulling alongside, and having his crew approach Ruggiero's car is unacceptable. The guy getting hit shouldn't have been there. That's aggressive and dangerous. Neither is right, and one doesn't justify the other. Drivers can get penalized for the actions of their crew. The second one was worse, and is never acceptable.
Interesting how many will say "Rubbing is Racing" and/or "With ten to go, you have to do what you need to do to win" until something like this happens to their favorite driver, regardless of what class is running. As for the gentleman who got knocked over; all tracks have a rule about non track personnel entering the speedway while cars are still moving on the track. This includes crew and drivers who exit their vehicles.

Adjust the video speed down to half and you'll see that the clown touched his spoiler and wouldn't let go when the car took off his hand was still on the spoiler and twisted him around as a result and his body never was hit and yet people in the stand who at a different vantage point we're saying "oh my God"! All he had to do was let go of the spoiler when the car started to move and he did not so it was a self-inflicted thing and in my mind possibly what he intended to be and I don't think the driver saw him with a helmet on and the limited view that he had of his car at the time. SMH
