@@TennisEvolutionHi Jeff, first of all thanks for all your videos, they are of great help to me! There is one about serve, where you teach to separate your legs well, and keep them like this until the contact with the ball; yesterday I watched your game against Chang, I noticed that at that time, you put your feet together before contacting the ball. And it made a powerful serve, very very good. What made you change this positioning these days? Thank you!
Jeff Why are you never doing tennis preview and predictions videos anymore at least about the biggest tournaments we have (the slams) I really miss those my friend cheers.
David Watkins not off hand. If I see it sometime I will note it. It works well on court. Of course there are other footwork options as well depending on the ball
very nice videos, thanks, Jeff! can you talk about service return that comes back high and slow and deep? in many cases, i found myself and some of my friend step back and hit hard but end up going long.
Great video Jeff. I have a question. Do you suggest to stop the follow through for the low forehand approach shot too? I also wonder whether one should use the lift and land or the run through footwork in that case
Thank you. You'll use the run through footwork when the ball is out wide; whereas the lift and land when the ball is in the middle. On your approach shot, I suggest you extend out through the shot. You'll stop your follow through when the ball comes fast at you as explained in this lesson, or when returning a fast serve. Hope this helps ;)
So helpful--thank you. Any instruction for those who struggle with off-speed returns (lob or chip), after hitting our biggest serves? Can too much adrenaline on the serve stroke compromise visual & physical ability for a few seconds?
@@TennisEvolution Yes, please! Some days I can make them, many other days they're hitting the back fence on the fly. Am I the only player who can't calm down quickly enough after a hard serve?
@@TennisEvolution Yah, first I badly misjudge them, staring at them with dread like they were grenades, then overhit or shank them. Lower chip/slice returns too. I can't adjust well between my acceleration ball (serve), and the opponent's deceleration ball. Time to see a psychiatrist?
Edit your video Jeff. You repeat yourself too much. It is annoying and you are wasting our time. Dennis Van Der Meer at Tennis University warned us of pros who talk too much.
Jes Salvo thanks for your feedback 1) you can always click off the video and find a coach that resonates with you 2) I repeat because people need to hear the big concepts multiple times for it to sink in
Great tips Jeff. Thank you
You're welcome! Thank you for watching.
really good keys
Thank you Phong!
Yes,the spilt step after serve, then get back behind baseline. Great footwork Jeff. Many thanks.

Coming soon!

The short swing seems like a smart way to accelerate the racket head to create spin on that incoming fast ball
Thank you Sir, you are smart coach!
You're welcome Soevjaan! Thanks for your nice comment, appreciate it.

Hi Jeff, thanks for the video. It only applies for the first ball? Or we can use this for all kind of fast balls? Thanks for your answer
Hi David. Thanks for your comment. You can also use this tip on different fast balls.
Have you got any film showing pros that do that?
David Watkins not off hand. If I see it sometime I will note it. It works well on court. Of course there are other footwork options as well depending on the ball
How does stopping in front helps?

@@TennisEvolution Thank you so much Jeff! Your lessons are always great. My tennis improved a lot thanks to you. I look forward to your next video
@@tennis9281 You're welcome! That's awesome to hear ;)
Is the two handed back hand more consistent then one handed?
Tough call David, it depends on each player. Both have their own advantages and drawbacks.
So helpful--thank you. Any instruction for those who struggle with off-speed returns (lob or chip), after hitting our biggest serves? Can too much adrenaline on the serve stroke compromise visual & physical ability for a few seconds?
Evan Kroeker you are welcome! So you want help on the slow balls that come short or deep after your serve
@@TennisEvolution Yes, please! Some days I can make them, many other days they're hitting the back fence on the fly. Am I the only player who can't calm down quickly enough after a hard serve?
Evan Kroeker you miss high forehands ? Overhit ?

High forehands freak me out! Such a weird swing path
Looks like you are trying to whack a tiny politician in the back of the head: 7:22
I don’t know what you mean
