And when Bailey's old works starts playing in HL:Alyx... then this huge difference between Mike and Kelly is extremely noticeble and how game missing about original Bailey's vision for HL-universe... Bailey and Laidlaw are vital for HL. Also, Kelly is live-perfomance musician as well, his art-works have some sort of live-scene even in ambiental segments, it is pretty interesting to notice how he had some inspiration from 80's or 90's music scene there and there. I miss this type of music in games, I was sad that Alyx doesn't have such bangers. That's probably to not cause you to run around destroying your room from all the hype :) Also this is the best moment and fight of the entire Half Life series in my opinion, I was feeling godlike fighting with all the 3 lights on.

Half Life 2 is the best frigging fps game ever made. Still to this day no fps game could ever come even close to the greatness of Half Life 2 and it's episodes. I honestly feel like only Half Life 3 can top Half Life 2.
The Half-life soundtrack is the only story that makes me depressed. Kelly gained experience experimenting with the Methods of Mayhem and Zero G samples, giving us the "Diabolic Adrenaline Guitar" and the "Closing" Theme. Later, he mastered the synthesizer perfectly and gave us the masterpieces "LG Orbifold" and "You're not supposed to be here". Then he assembled his band and in the first episode the guitar tracks "what kind of hospital is this" and "Penultimatum" appeared. And here's the second episode, the whole soundtrack is the greatest drop of all time! And then silence fell, Mike came to the post of composer, he made cool soundtracks for TF2 and Portal 2, but he was not surprised by anything else. And Kelly kept moving away from Valve until the last drop appeared in the form of a music set for CS GO. The sound is so desperate, so fading, that it seems like a musical "Goodbye" to all Half-life fans. It is also sad that there is no music in the world that is very similar to Kelly's work. And although in Half-life Alyx, Kelly acted as a consultant for Mike. The music for the game turned out to be nothing. Just an empty parody of Quake 1 and Doom Eternal with a very flat mix.
