Hello! I didn’t actually stay at this resort. I was visiting a friend, but I haven’t had any issues with bed bugs during my Cuban stays. There are sand fleas that can be annoying. They are super itchy (so if you can, resist the initial itch), and maybe bring bug spray. Some weeks they are bad and some not.
We were there in December…..the staff are great the beach is amazing…everything else was complete and utter trash, save your money for a little longer and go to Mexico or the DR

How was your stay? we are going in a couple weeks and I've read mixed reviews. the worse ones I've heard is bed bugs. any thoughts or suggestions ?

I wouldn't return. Nice beach. Met great staff and travelers. But would not return for many reasons.
Bugs are everywhere in Cuba. Wear a good repellant in the mornings and evenings. Apparently tanning oil also works.

Cuba is definitely experiencing challenges right now but I still enjoy it for the beaches, snowless weather, and staff.
Absolutely agree with your comment . The beach is nice but the rest of the place is shite. Just got back and I couldn't wait to get home.
