Big Picture: Assignment Iran
Department of Defense. Department of the Army. Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations. U.S. Army Audiovisual Center. (ca. 1974 - 05/15/1984). This THE BIG PICTURE film takes the viewer to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where soldiers were being trained to assist Iranian guerrillas fighting in Iran. These members of the Military Assistance Advisory Group were being sent to act as advisors in the training of the Iranian Imperial Army Special Forces Group.

@@glennmillerfan Bullshit. The Imperial Iranian Army was loyal till the end. You can watch the last Imperial Iranian Military parade on my Chanel. No one switched sides, an they even wanted to kill Khomeini upon arrival but the King did not let them. After the Islamic Revolution the Imperial Iranian Army saw 50 - 60% DESERTION. All the top Generals were either purged by the Islamists or fled the country. This damaged the Iranian military so much that little Iraq was able to keep an 8 year long war against Iran, something they would only dream during the Imperial Era.
