Stumbled across this video - really great 🔝

Love the video! However, I wouldn't call the Poly Tight a polyrythm. Polyrythms are when you stack two different time signatures on top of each other, for example 4/4 + 3/4. The rythm on the kick is more a dotted rythm because it stills follows the rules of 4/4

Ah man WHAT a great one!! Firstly I love this soo much because music-wise this is way more up my alley than the more "usual" slower lofi-stuff. I know this might be a bit a a sin to admit but It's the truth.. ^_^ Second I'm really really impressed about how you nail these genres man. I mean I've been hunting the lofi-house sound forever now it seems but I can't really pin it down to a few musical elements and basics. But you did, in like probably an hour.. 😤🤣..and it sounds REALLY good. And third, (which is a good and a more problematic thing) this video was really inspiring BUT now I feel like I have to go back and rework my entire remix, and that takes time. And time is something I lack. And the first version isn't even finished yet.. 🥶
You really nailed it this time man, at least for me. Great advices, great explanations and spot on steps to follow!! Really really cool and SPANX a bunch for sharing!! :D

      SPANX Jono,
I'm thinking I should start doing "daily shorts" on quickly replicating grooves, might be an idea!
I say don't change the remix - GO WITH YOUR GUT!

Informative as ever! Needed to hear 'vacancy' become a finished track bro! 😛 Drum pattern spot on but you had some very sexy synths on the go there too that I needed to hear about lol MJ Cole vibes!! I've never actually used Ableton but really impressed with apparently how simple and quick (when you know what you're doing!) it is to automate things that to a listeners ear would sound like they took a lot of time and effort to create to add that variety and complexity. Excellent as always thanks Will!

      What great feedback, thanks bud!
I made the jump from Logic Pro X to Ableton Live 11 a few years ago, there's certainly a learning curve but now I "know" how to use it (and I'm still learning things) it's definitely speeding up my work flow.

i still need just 5 solid kicks that just work well in house, most sample packs are just sampled drums from mastered tracks that are released,

Isn't it UK Garage cca 2000-2005? Sounds like that to me, maybe a bit quieter or subdued here, but the basic idea seems the same.
