- ARRGH you ready?! Today we are back at Coral Island in Blackpool, England! We have not been here is so long! We wanted to stop by Coral Island to check out the huge arcade! A lot has changed since our last visit. Hop onto the ship and join the tour!

Sticking up two fingers has different meanings depending which way the hand is facing. If the back of the hand is facing outwards then it is classed as an offensive gesture, whereas with the palm outward it is still classed as the peace gesture in the UK or back in WWII it also symbolized V for victory.

It has historical connections, including its use by English archers during the Hundred Years’ War. Some claim it was a symbol of defiance by archers who still had both fingers needed to draw a bow.
Winston Churchill had to be informed of this after he inadvertently made the wrong sign.
To swear, you do a V with knuckles facing towards the other person.
For peace, you do a V with your palm facing the other person.
As stated above it was meant as a "F U" to the French by our archers, showing them we can still fight.
Don't you Poms use it for V for Victory? Not Peace. Or is it both... in Straya 🇦🇺 it can mean both, but generally only Aussies from British backgrounds use it both ways.

I love Coral Island, though I have never seen it so quiet, you did well, for future reference, when that 30 ticket, went down the other slot, you can ask them to retrieve it, if they can find it, they will give it to you, and I agree pirate flyer is super fun!! Great video, thanks for sharing 😁👍

I love Coral Island we go there when we visit Blackpool. It's not too far away from where I live. I have the Coral Island bear you tried for. Sometimes you can get them with tickets if you save your tickets up. Sending love ❤

I remembered about them today and spent hours looking for their chanel i perticularlly remembered them by their gingerbread house competetions and their christmas tree 😊

I remember reading that the "peace" sign in england is like flipping the bird because back in medieval days they would cut off the fingers of archers who got captured in war so they couldn't use their bows... so on the battle field archers would show the opposing side their two fingers(peace sign) mockingly. so it similar to a big "FU"

This is my go-to arcade in blackpool. I love the camel racing and the 2p machines.
The claw machines are ao frustrating though. Pure payout

No way we love coral island and was there a few weeks ago! We won a few tickets and I got some toys for my boys. The pirate flyer is lots of fun! They do great food in that buccaneer restaurant too. Glad you enjoyed it 😊

I usually end up in Blackpool for stag-do's or threshold birthdays, and venture into Coral Island, but just the casino bit... Few spins on the roulette, a few beers... More so the morning after the night before, for a quiet hair of the dog! :D hehehe
I just hope Coral Island take notice of this video, because every other machine seems to be knackered or not working... Which is such a shame, because, well... Where is the fun if you plough money in an already expensive and rigged machine, only to find out it's knackered anyway! :/

Awesome , Only in the U.K where you can super amazing arcade amusement centers. It's great you still get tickets even if you don't win from the claw machines and lots of ways to get more tickets for amazing prizes at the redemption center. Lots of love and blessings.

I love going to Blackpool to play in the arcades well any British seaside town because its one of the few places with arcades
You must have got there very early in the day, whenever we go to Coral Island its always absolutely packed out, and you can never get on the pirate boat, the queue is too long. Great prize, looks like you guys had a great time in Blackpool.
You should of gone to rock making shop snd brought the end of the rock they make, its still warm. I have never seen the ship ride there before. I thought it was new aswell. ❤❤❤❤XX
I live in the South of England and there's a 2p machine like the dice zombie one you were playing that i love, got a bucket of keyrings I've won over time and I was focusing so much on my keyring I didn't notice I won jackpot bonus and won like 500 tickets!!! 😂😊❤

Depends on which way the 2 fingers are. If they are in the peace (palm facing away) that's fine. Means peace. If the 2 fingers are up and your palm is facing you, it's a bad word 😂

Its been a couple of years since I last visited blackpool we love coral Island but you dont expect to win much those claw machine are so rigged. Great to see you in the UK again i hope you had a good time. Next time you should record more content like trying the UK foods etc.

when i was in blackpool the butterfly 2p coin pusher was my favourite. i was able to win over 15 thousand tickets on it for probably just over £10 😁

The peace sign like this with your finger nails facing towards you, is very commonly used and not bad. The same position but with finger nails facing away from you is swearing

Coral Island is probably the best themed arcade in the UK but every time I’ve been it has been packed and trying to redeem your tokens for prizes is a mission. I wish they’d go to a card system as I’m personally not a fan of physical tickets. That’s the quietest I’ve ever seen it.
They have actually started to move to cards!
I(n the UK its not a "peace" sign. Its either a victory sign (Winston Churchill) or a "go forth and multiply" sign that goes back to medieval times and archers waving their bow drawing fingers at enemies.

I looked the peace sign up on Google and it said " when you give the peace and the back of your hand faces the other person" that's when it's considered a bad thing to do. But it does not say anything when giving the peace sign with your palm facing the other person.

Just ro let u know with the tickets u dont habe to spend them the same day ie if ur sraying in blackpool.for a while u can go away and come back a nother day with the receipt after cashing the tickets in as they dont expire so if u save the ticket receipts u can go back a nother day and keep doing that till u have loads and then get bigger and better prizes

Showing the back of you hand with the peace sign 'V' is same as the middle finger, but you needs to flick it up. Not used that much, people favor using the middle finger gesture. The peace sign must be showing the palm of your hand to the person.
