Y'know, theres a type of loneliness from seeing so many old comments on a video like this. It's to be expected of course, but i tend to find that some people come back to old videos like this to relive their childhood. I guess the irony is that i am here now, commenting on this 16 years after it's been posted, i guess sort of tainting this ancient comment section with this fresh comment, but i digress. i wonder if anyone else comes back here to see this, the effort that was put into something as simple as a 5 minute video of someone knocking over dominoes. it's very fun, i hope i'll remember it later on. i guess i just might have autism
I loved seeing this video as well. It's funny considering the intention of this video. The production isn't that professional, but it still has 28 million views. But obviously, the video displays a pretty awesome feat.
You summarised it well! Today I randomly came back to this, so much nostalgia... I am pretty sure "domino" was the first word I learned to type into the TH-cam searchbar ;)
The thing I hate about these kind of things though, is that no mater HOW well it's filmed, (even with multiple cameras, pro lenses etc) the magic feeling you get from seeing things like this in real life is just impossible to capture. I know that the same can be said about most things- but as a film student/lover/buff, it's this kind of thing in particular that instantly springs to mind, mine at least, as containing something impossible to capture on film/video. Rambling aside, that was great!!!
This was the most epic 5;26 seconds ever. It probably took many days to do this. As soon as I found out that they made all these things I was astonished. I wish I knew how long it took.
A week-long work for at least 5 minutes of action. I personally enjoyed it! I can't even imagine how it must feel, if it would have failed... But anyway great work! I guess the first and most important rule for something like that is: Keep the dogs out! :D
I think before I knocked down the incredible domino maze I'd spent a bazillion hours creating, I'd take a little care to place a few cameras in strategic positions and light the room properly rather than just asking the nearest guy with a camera phone to tape it.
Loving this and BTW your opinions are your own and I see it like if you don't have anything nice to say then zip your lips!! If that was you you wouldent want negative comments!!
Good job!!!!! NOW MAKE IT OVER HAHAH AAAHHGGH THATS PROLLY FUN AND SUCKS TOO DO IT OVER. I'd only move my dominos for an event, prolly sayn "HAPPY B-DAY BABY" or something
Wonderful art at it's most patient, persevering & rewarding, finest!
