How lovely to have both roses and peonies in your garden, Alison! They are definitely favorites of all of the FDI teachers and Teacher Michelle used them in her arrangement this week. Hi Ladies, watching the replay once again here in Adelaide. My favourite flowers are orchids. I actually grow them & have about 80 cymbidium plants, plus Oncidiums &Zygopetelum as well. Love to you all from Jannie. By the way, the first Cym is now in bloom, for this year.
We're incredibly impressed that you grow all of those flowers, Jannie! Having 80 cymbidium plants plus Oncidiums and Zygopetelum is amazing in every way. We know it is approaching winter time in Adelaide so we were wondering if you grow them in a green house perhaps? And how is your weather this time of year? We heard from another viewer there that it has been quite cool and wet recently. Either way we're so glad your orchids are starting to bloom and we hope you enjoy each and every one of them. We're so glad you have been enjoying our shows and if you ever want to join us on Live to ask questions of Leanne, the other FDI teachers, or the other Tulips, we would love to have you join us. The Live show airs at 3:00 PM Pacific Time both here on TH-cam and on Facebook, and it's a great time to meet FDI students, graduates, and other Tulips from around the world and pose any questions you might have. If you would like to join us at Flower School, we would love that as well and we do offer courses both on-line and in-person. Hybrid is a great way to go and many students decide to take Basic Floral Design on-line and then come in-person for a week for Advanced Floral Design (or sometimes the other way around). That's an excellent question, Monika, and one we often get! What we suggest is that you post your photos to either your Facebook or Instagram account and then tag us with #floraldesigninstitute. That usually allows us to see the photos if we have been tagged. We do look forward to seeing what you create and we hope you enjoy the process, especially if you're using beautiful summer flowers.
