After 50 years of vacuuming, the Dyson V11 is a revelation for me. But for the heavy work, such as sweeping leaves or broken glass, my old faithful DC05 wins by more than a ship's length ahead of the V11. The V11 is excellent when it comes to a standard service of both parquet and solid floor coverings. No more hassle with a hose on a heavy device, no hassle with an unwilling cord that is always just too short. In short, vacuuming is now a piece of cake for me with the V11!
I just upgrraded from my V8 to the V11 today...thanks so much for uploading the demonstration....looking forward to using it now....but can we all just take a moment to give kudos for the matching socks! Fabulous!
@@Evelien2301 I love it....I know it's pricey but I think they are worth it....I've never had a dyson that broke or had any problems and each time I upgraded I was always able to sell the previous one for a good price to put towards the new one....I went for the Absolute model.
I purchased the V11 Animal, the purple one, and it is $100 cheaper. It does have the auto mode like the V11 Torque and Absolute. The only things it lacks are the soft dust brush that you showed and said you could use on picture frames, and it has an LED display screen on back rather than an LCD. Otherwise it's the same as the V11 Absolute and Torque models, and I love the purple color of the Animal. I find it odd that the gold finish on the stick of the Absolute doesn't match the finish of the torque head and cyclones. Thanks for sharing your unboxing with us. Happy Vacuuming!
Have had V10 for 6 months-ish couldnt think of any way to improve it. Trigger i like, switch for powers i like, dumping process i like. But Dyson has added things that only devoted developers would add. Love the display! Genius.
One thing I don't like about these Dysons is the fact that you can't lock the switch in the ON position. I.e - you have to keep pressing on the switch for it to work.
Greg Sullivan they force you to save battery power. Also batteries are not replaceable, nor is it able to power using a cord? In case battery has died, or need long boost mode, but don’t want to use the heavier corded sebo S7 / Miele uprights, Which have (market leading) much much better vacuuming performance. Dyson can’t compare to them. But they are much heavier.
@@gregsullivan7408 if your finger was made out of silk, I would understand ur complaint. But as a 2 yr owner of the v10 motorhead, u don't need to hold down the button with alot of pressure. Just very light pressure. Also it's good for the battery as u will give it a chance to rest when u don't need to vacuum a spot that doesn't need it n it will extend the battery life
The trigger on dyson vacuums is super touch sensitive. I found that I was holding the trigger with a lot of pressure at first, because my brain is trained to push things like triggers and buttons, but once I started to remember to just grab the handle and button, with no additional pressure, my hand stopped hurting.
Yea. Alot of ppl dont realize that. I admit I have to remember to relieve the pressure off my finger when I use my v10 motorhead that I've owned fir over a year
In Australia it’s an v11 absolute pro & has more tools & the gold one is still only available from Dyson directly. Fabulous job on your video & hello from down under 🇦🇺
For 600 BP, it should offer at least 3 more features: a swappable battery, a “stay-on” power button and LED lights on all the power heads. You really should be able to see that lone sock in the darkness under the bed before it jams the revolving brush.
Thank you so much for this video! I just bought new vacuum dyson and I can't open the dirt bin of it, luckily searched for a video about this model here on TH-cam and saw yours 🙏🏻 Thanks
I don't have the stubborn brush head in mine, I will have to look in the box again but thought I got it all out. I'm really impressed with the V11. Dyson are working on solid state batteries for their cordless vacuum cleaners. Right now the Absolute is £500 + a free wand of any colour you choose untill March.
Looks like a heck of a machine, but I'd expect my house clean at the click of fingers for that price. On the edge of my seat for the demo- its a shame you've stopped vacuum of the month as it would be great to see how it compares to uprights. Thanks for a great vid.
Just ordered a blue one after watching your video. Finally, someone agrees that the gold looks slightly cheap. Yes, the blue indigo-ish wand looks heaps better but my siblings think otherwise. Thankselpful review
In gold, it looks like the spaceship from the Flash Gordon movie! The V11 vacuum looks fragile/easy to break, shame it does not have LED headlights on the floorhead. I remember you had a suction testing device in an earlier video when you do the full review would it interesting to see how powerful the suction actually is compared to mains Dysons at different fill levels. Brilliant demo.
I’m not sure if my suction gauge will work very well as as soon as the airflow is restricted, the motor starts to pulse to alert the user of a problem. I will have a go with it though.
QVC just two weeks ago, 8th February 2020, were selling the V11 Animal for £300 delivered. It was a cracking deal when compared to the £600 usual selling price. However Dyson have set the price I am willing to pay at £300, which is more than enough for something made in Malaysia.
Brilliant video... Probably won't buy one but watched until the end ;-) Might be useful to explain if the weight in handheld mode without the garish wand is excessive. Also, is it worth comparing with a renowned powerful corded model? Lastly, is there an option to clean the inside of the main drum? Again, really informative, engaging, knowledgeable and candid video... Truly gutted for you the golden saber, festive if nothing else!!
I believe it is possible to remove the dirt bin to give it a proper clean, I plan to show that in another video. The weight and bulk is a bit of an issue in handheld mode, but not too bad when using as an upright. I still don’t like the gold colour and knew as soon as I saw it that I would be returning this vacuum as it looks nothing like it did on Dysons website. The vacuum is very good, but the few niggles I have with it don’t justify the £600 price tag.
I bought one of these and bought a fluffy head and hose for it cuz those don't come with it in the US. Stupid expensive, but it works like a champ. Not replacing Miele, Kirby, Rainbow, the central vacuum, etc, for wall-to-wall carpet, but this is amazing for a cordless. I think an apt comparison is to the Miele stick vac, which they used to call the Universal Upright, and I don't remember what it's called now. In the US, it can operate a power nozzle, has an optional genuine Miele hose and extension wand set, plenty power, and can use any of the attachments Miele offers. With the TOL 236 power nozzle, the optional HEPA filter, and the hose set, it might be $550 US. It has a cord, but cords aren't a problem for me. I'd suggest that to a non-collector over the V11 for functionality. If that Miele can't accommodate a power nozzle, which might be the case in some markets, unfortunately, that totally changes that, but then there'd be the Sebo Felix.
Great demo. I have three long hair cats and have been experimenting with boost but it cuts down on battery power pretty quickly. Glad to see this function explained on video. Also didn't know about fixture on head. So, I should get used to that, too. No fluffy head with animal 11. Cleaning machine seems to be more of a problem with cat hair which creeps up past max line and becomes packed in center of machine. Used faucet to clean out and tiny back scratcher to dig out. A lot to adjust to from upright. Though that also clogged from cat hair, though I clean twice a week.
Yes, a lot of people who just bought a V10 aren’t happy, but I don’t think it’s worth upgrading. It would be a good upgrade for a V8 or earlier model if people don’t mind the extra weight and bulk of the V11.
4 months ago I was debating if I buy V8 Absolute for 400€ with extra car accessory or V10 Absolute with DOK (150€ accessory and stand kit) for 630€. Fortunately, I went with V8. I would be so disappointed now if I would go with V10.
krneki44 Im also debating on buyibg one but the V8 already is way to expensive. But if its gone be the thing that get me to vacuüm and keep my car clean .Im gone jump for it.
@@huskyvacs Dyson used to be better and they were more affordable back in the DC07 time for instance. They are exactly like the Apple of vacuums now. I mean the V11 is basically the V10 with a small screen.
Please do a car cleaning video! I purchased a V6 Animal Extra about a year ago as a replacement for a cheap Bissel cordless and I was blown away by how excellent it was, I threw my old corded vacuum away and am using it as my main machine. In the whole time I’ve had it I’ve never ran it completely flat until today actually when I was cleaning the car... quite odd as it’s never done that before. I might be willing to upgrade to the V11 Absolute Pro however in Australia it’s $1,250AUD and I don’t know if it’s worth the upgrade! My V6 was only $350AUD.
Thanks so much for making that video! It was super interesting to see the brand new Dyson in action. I'll be very interested to see how you get on with it over the next little while. I'd really like to see you empty the machine when it's just at the max line, so it would be full with a lot more dust and fur. Still hate that trigger though...until Dyson fix that, I definitely won't be buying it. I had a good chuckle over your reaction to the gold colour lol
Plenty more videos planned on this Dyson after I’ve had it a bit longer so I can discover more of what I like and don’t like about it. I will NEVER like that gold wand though.
Hi and many thanks for your time well spent producing this great video. I can definitely see on video that the wand gold (ish) isn't the same shade as the rest, but would hope that would not want me sending it back. I have the V8 and regarding you hearing about customer care, 3 days after my warranty ran out (I really didn't realise), my battery help going flat from full charge to dead within 10 to 15 minutes. I rang them up, they informed me about my warranty had finished but said they understood these things happen and sent me a new one in the post. They did say if I still had the problem, to call them and they would send an engineer out to fix it without any charge, so after sales service is incredibly fantastic. Apart from that, Iv'e not had one single issue with my V8 and love it millions and although I've used it to vacuum plaster dust and building debris up (Not recommended), as long as I wash the filters out every time and strip the cyclone 11 piece unit down to wash (again not recommended) it works perfectly. BUT the motor does hold on to some of the dust and I can't gain access to it. Regarding your testing, WOW your carpet really does test the V11 doesn't it so many thanks for that. Also the weight of the body is something to consider, but as Dyson make vacuuming so much easy now, I'm wondering if this would be manageable, as you're not going to be spending all day lifting, pushing and pulling it around as it gives such a thorough clean with each sweep. Just one question, what do you do with all your existing Dyson vacuums if you keep buying new ones. Apart from that, great video and many thanks :-)
We are not awaiting our third V11. We purchased the newest unit the Dyson 11 Torque / Tubo. Two have failed. I would have purchased another unit for the first floor of our home, because I installed the unit purchased on the second floor but the unit failed within 3 weeks of purchase (slightly less). Frankly, your 600 was not well spent if it was made with the same quality as the ones sold in the United States. Here in New Jersey the Dyson 11 Torque Turbo (newest most electronic unit) is available on sale for approximately $500 if you shop around. First - It cannot be stressed enough that these units are ruined by the slightest water accidentally hitting the filter, and then through the filter into the motor, although that is not why ours failed. Our first unit lasted 3 weeks. You can purchase additional filters (fairly cheaply) and it is worth doing that because if you wash the filter and there is a small amount of moisture still in it, when you put it back on the unit - you have ruined the vacuum. The DYSON instructions direct you to wash or rinse the filter and allow it to dry. Unfortunately, upon examination you find that if you do that, once wet, you cannot be sure the interior of the filter has actually completely dried. My thorough examination of the filter is the only thing that stopped me from putting a damp filter back on the unit and instead, I set it aside and purchased several replacement filters from Amazon. Didn’t help - the unit failed anyway. The red trigger unit on the main unit has a tendency to stick. This is the first step to total failure. When it sticks it will stay in the on position. Fixing this, if you choose to do so is a complicated procedure in which the entire unit. must be dissembled. If its under warranty absolutely send it back to Dyson for a new one. We (I) choose not to dissemble it because it was under warrant. Instead I just pulled the trigger out to the off position. This worked for 2 weeks until total motor failure, - no on or off at off even though full charged. The trigger failure apparently indicates that the original trigger assembly was either not done correctly or one of the plastic components has cracked over time because it was assembled too tightly. Based upon You Tube video’s, repairing this is and extensive processs and requires taking almost everything apart. Again, if under warranty, send it back for a new one. The other problem with the Dyson 11 Turbo is that it not only fills fast but blocks easily stopping the vacuum - both from the bottom of the motor vacuum entry and the side exit opening. When the side exit opening of the main motor unit is blocked you need a long screwdriver or wire hook to clear it. The connections buttons tend to stick so disassembly to clear the unit can be annoying. We are now awaiting delivery of Dyson 11 Turbo unit No. 3. The unit when working, is substantially more powerful than any other cordless vacuum I am aware of. If it was engineered with better quality materials and the design issue which leads to easy blocking modified, it would be an excellent substitute for an in-house / wall vacuum because it is so much lighter. The problem is that the unit fails - not breaks but fails easily. So would I recommend this unit? - No obviously not. It’s powerful, but it fails very easily on routine, not heavy duty use.
I’d need four of them to clean just ground floor. It’s sufficient for a small apartment without a garden and dogs. I just bought a SEBO Felix 1 premium right after I’d watched your video and thanks to you, it’s great! I vacuumed on a large area rug and I was shocked how powerful it was, felt like a walking a dog. It moved forward by itself and just one pass, dog hair was gone with stubborn dirt!
On the automatic setting it has a pretty decent run time but in the long run, the Sebo Felix will be the better investment at around a third of the price.
My concern would be the battery. Batteries of that kind have a limited number of times they can be charged and before they reach that number the battery will also degrade in its ability to hold a charge. You won’t find any 30 year old V11’s in working order.
The Vacuum King , I have no doubt the vacuum will last that long but lithium batteries are good for 2-3 years max, after that they will be degraded and maybe hold less than half of their charge, this will only get worse with time until the battery is kaput.
O S , I now own a Sebo and I am quite happy with it however I bought my Dyson DC07 in 2001 and it’s still in perfect working order and appearance. I used it as my daily driver for more than 15 years.
I was hoping you would get your hands on one of these. Great video. Cannot wait to see a full demo of what it can do. I am curious to see more tests in eco mode, so if you could include that, then that would be brilliant. A great video as always. Thank you very much👍👍👍👍 Oh, and as for the gold colour? Hmmmmm... still not sure. Normally I like gold, but not so sure about this one.
I was about to buy this one but went to Philips XC8049/01 speenpro max because of better battery life, versatility, led light, easier to get under sofa, easier to clean up, no need to hold that trigger. Dysons are good but they are fall behind some of their competitors. Need to do some development.
I wish they made the v11 dok/stand like the v10 dok with 5 extra tools. It looks better & stores your tools & for charging your v10, if you haven’t seen it have a look it’s fabulous but I wanted the v11 absolute pro extras with the LCD/LED screen showing you count down of how long battery had left & many extra video’s on the actual vac 🤩🤑😊
Your dog hair demo is crazy... who would have that much dog hair on their carpet? :)) Unless you only vacuum once in a year. Even so... 2more passes would still pick up everything. I had V8, switched to V10 and might upgrade to V11 too. I love Dyson. I would never go back to corded ones or other brands. It's a life changing innovation like iPhones changed the phone industry.
"I had V8, switched to V10 and might upgrade to V11 too" you are one of the reasons, the Dyson plastic crap is expensive as hell! Explain me pls whats the real benefit, in wasting again 500$+ for a little upgrade?
@@hard2bear3110 thats why android came after iOS/iPhones and thats why Android Phones are mostly copies of the actual iPhone design lol also, how can be a device a follower, explain pls, or are you a stupid kid?

Doesn’t seem 2 minutes since the V10 came out. Great video as always. Interested to see how this cordless only dyson mission will pay off. I’ve just not found a cordless cleaner as good as mains powered. Time will tell I guess!
A part of me really loves my Dyson, another part of me says why, why do they still not give you a removable battery, especially since the V10 and V11 are supposed to be a complete replacement for all corded vacuums
David Williams The battery is removable. Just takes a minute or two to replace it. Should last long for normal use, so no need to swap the besides if the battery has worn out.
They don’t make a locking trigger because the machine will actually over heat and fault the battery because people will just keep it running all the time
What about all the other cordless vacuum manufacturers who make cleaners with a locking switch, they don’t seem to be concerned about overheating. When I use one of my other cordless machines with a locking switch, I still switch them off when I change attachments, move furniture or need to stop cleaning for any reason. I don’t just put them down with the motor running.
The "Light Ball", which features the latest in corded technology is £200 in Argos, Currys, etc, whereas the V11 Roger shows will cost a massive 3 times this amount, yeah, 600 quid. And then you'll be shelling out £70 - £100 every couple of years for new battery packs, when they reach their charge cycle limits, usually 300 - 500 charge cycles. Indeed, a very costly machine - but then most people will throw their V11 out when the battery expires and buy the latest cordless offering from Dyson, and thats what he is counting on, thats why he's now worth over £10 billion and laughing at the mugs that shell out £600 for his stick vacs.
I think the performance on Boost will match or even slightly better a corded Dyson, but obviously only for the few minutes it takes for the battery to run out. On the lower speed modes, I suspect the corded models will clean better.
Awesome vid! In your more in depth review of the V11, can you please compare the torque drive cleaner head to the direct drive cleaner head on your V7?
At least with Miele you get a product designed for 20 years of use (often they last longer, eg 30 even), but they Miele were originally a premium German washing machine specialist. Other products of theirs are also very very good and excellent even, but prices also don’t justify the sale. In that case Miele cordless vacuum is £680, ish.
Miele May say that they design their products for 20 years use, but it certainly wouldn’t include the cordless models, especially the batteries that have an average lifespan of 2 to 3 years.
I had the opportunity to try one of these. And I will never buy one. The power head locked up on it and the battery seem like it was getting warm and it just seemed like after or using it for a while the suction started decreasing. And it's a shame that they're not going to put further development and Research into their corded vacuums I think James Dyson is making a huge mistake. So James Dyson if you're watching any of these videos or if any of your Associates are watching these videos and your Development Department I hope they go back to you and tell you to continue developing your corded vacuums especially your canister
All lithium batteries get warm when you discharge them quickly. I think that dyson are right to ditch the corded vacuum cleaners, after some extensive R&D they should manage to make this better and it's really promising that the current V11 does rather well in the video. A few years on nobody is going to want to push around a bulky upright and struggle with the stairs. Not the ones with the budget for a dyson I don't think. The only problem is the battery itself as it will degrade just after the warranty period so you'll have to buy a replacement one. Not very environmentally friendly and also costly so on one side you have a bagless cleaner but on the other you have to consider replacing the battery into your running costs. I think that convenience is the ultimate sell for this type of cleaner. Personally I'd appreciate the cordless and compact nature of this dyson but it's much too loud, somehow I always end up vacuuming past 10pm so I'd rather have an electrolux.
@@Progan666 what you're right they will get warm if you discharge them quickly however the one that I used was on the low Eco setting and it was getting warm right off the beginning secondly a stick bag I don't care Who develops it is no replacement for a full size unit a full size unit is always going to have more power than the stick vac. Also they really should continue to develop their corded units a lot of people still want a corded unit now don't get me wrong I stick back is great for quick cleanups throughout the week and then have your heavy duty one for the weekends to where he can really do that deep down cleaning. And another thing that they need to improve upon is having removable batteries that way once the battery goes out in it you can replace the battery in still have the unit instead of having to throw the whole entire thing in the trash or taking it down and having a new battery pack installed which is going to cost an arm and a leg
Thank you for the video, Roger. I agree with you regarding the wand gold color, it is much better with the matt finish like on the pictures. I prefer the blue/grey color instead. It seems that Dyson are not using nylon bags in packaging anymore, as they used to wrap the items with bags and the charger with a transparent film. Now, my questions: 1- Is it still made in Malaysia? 2- What are the watts on the main unit, 2 heads, and the mini brush? 3- How much extra weight of the main unit than your v7 main unit? 4- Last one, did you feel any differences between your v7 and this v11? Performance and noise? Thank you..
Well the performance is impressive, but why on earth they don't make a lightweight upright where the weight is on the floorhead instead on the hand. My experience using the stick vacuums is that my hand gets tired after a certain time of vacuuming. Cordless lightball would be ideal.
Agreed, have the V10 and i'm not exactly small. Can be very taxing on the forearm in handheld mode. It's a great cleaner no doubt, no regrets getting it at all but damn my forearm lol
There are many people that will find it a pain to use the V11 and similar machines that have all the weight up high, especially when you have to keep your finger on the trigger in use. The handle isn’t the most comfortable to hold either. I like the Shark cordless powered lift away as the weight is much lower down, but I think the Dyson beats it performance wise. Hopefully Dyson will produced a cordless full sized upright that can incorporate a larger battery for longer running times.
@@ibaisaic funnily enough I find the trigger fine, it's cleaning blinds or something up high that kills me 😱. Do you think they'll incorporate their cordless tech into an upright to make something light but powerful? I'm ready to purchase a light ball but don't want something being released straight after 😂
I have a few Venetian blinds and could not use a cordless hand held to clean them as my arm would be very sore after a few minutes. I have to use a mains powered cylinder with a long hose. I hope Dyson will develop some full sized freestanding cordless vacuums as the stick variety don’t suit everyone.
@@ibaisaic That's the thing what people should now. I gave my Shark Rocket TruePet corded stick vacuum to my Mom (She is over 60 years old). She liked it, but She couldn't cope with the handle weight. It was a shame because otherwise She really liked it. So I have it back and I only use it for quick vacuuming in my small apartment. For dusting jobs canister is way nicer to use.
£600....ouch! I remember when Miele had their C3 Ecoline Electro (Green) with the Electro Premium head and that model was an eye-watering £600 as well and I wonder which one people would buy😂.
Superb extremely informative professional video, as always. I don't see a price for it here in the US but Dyson requires full list sales, so it will be hugely expensive. Seems to work well enough, but buyers won't maintain it, it'll wind up trashed in a land fill, and Mr. Dyson even richer. Not my cup of tea then.
Thank you for unpacking and your interesting tests) I want to see in your performance a Bosch Unlimited Zoo test with a mini electric brush attachment, and Bosch Unlimited ProPower with a 6 ah battery.
I’m afariad I will be in bed for your unboxing as I’m at work early tomorrow, but I will watch it when I get home. Used it round my house earlier and it is definitely going back. It’s very good, but it’s not worth the price in my opinion.
@@ibaisaic we have fibre, but because I won't upgrade to fibre max, sky seem to limit it. Our fibre is unlimited and they don't like that, but my legacy deal has it, and it's handier unlimited than capped as I can rinse through 200/300gb a month!
Hola, buenos dias desde colombia, me gustaria me dieras tu opinion sobre cual aspiradora me recomiendas para uso diario en mi casa, que tenga ben poder de succion. mil gracias .
I guess it's unfortunate you purchased the pimp addition it should have also come with a set of gold teeth. You was supposed to put the torque head to the minus position which brings the vacuum cleaner head closer to the carpet you went in the opposite direction.
The minus position opens the two red flaps on the underside of the nozzle fully, allowing more air flow through. The plus position lowers the flaps fully, creating a seal. It didn’t come with a set of gold teeth, but it did come with a 35 day money back guarantee, which I intend to use.
Are the screens different now as yours show eco boost and med but on Dyson website it shows the auto mode. Having trouble deciding which to get. The v10, v11 absolute or the v11 torque
You may find it convenient for cleaning around your home, so it’s up to you if you want to get one. I would still keep hold of your mains powered vacuum though.
Hi Roger I saw you demonstration of the Bosch Unlimited and this Dyson V11 ... I think I will go for the Bosch because, switchable battery, on/off switch and from the cleaning part I saw no much differences between the 2 cleaners ... would you also recommend the Bosch in favour of the Dyson ... in price in the Netherlands the difference is 250 euros in favour of the Bosch ... so I think 3 strong points there for the Bosch or ....?
I’ve been looking a long time for a vacuum that is easy to push over a moderate to long piled carpet. I haven’t found one yet, they seem to stick to the floor making it hard to push back and forth digging into the carpet. How does this V11 seem with regard to ease of pushing back and forth on the type of pile I specified? Thanks
I haven’t tried it on anything other than short pile carpet, though I did use it on a long pile rug and it was fine. You can adjust the main head if it is too hard to push or use a lower suction setting, though that would affect the pick up performance.
Did you figure out what causes that strange noise somewhere between a ball bouncing and a metal spring coming apart when it shuts off? Also, I don't mind that gold too badly, but I am concerned it would scratch. Love all your vids, Roger!
I agree that there are a lot of cheaper cordless cleaners, but from experience, this Dyson seems to perform the best, but it is a very high price to pay for good performance. I am no Dyson fan boy and think a lot of Dyson products are way overpriced, but I have to be honest. I will be comparing the V11 with other cordless cleaners in my collection over the next few months. I still hate the gold wand and wish I had seen it in real life before ordering.
Mr. Roger; It seems our British brothers get the new Dyson models first... hmm! I have a V10 and I enjoy it the more I use it because I “cart-start-dart”...faster than I could unwind the cord of my previous vac! and back to chargeing. THX for the review...always fair... even toward that Mr. Dyson!
It´s like with Smartphones. Every year a new Product. It´s ok if it has an advantage compared to the previous product. In this case: exchangeable battery. Still love my 2016 Dyson with cord tho
Dominikmb17 that’s the problem, £600 every year for minor upgrades. 10 upgrades in 10 years, each costing more the one before it. At least with Miele you get a product designed for 20 years of use (often they last longer 30 even), but they Miele were originally a premium German washing machine specialist. Other products of theirs are also very very good and excellent the even, but prices don’t justify the sale. In that case Miele cordless vacuum is £700+ ish.
Fabulous!

Your video better than the out of the box instructions. Thank you.

For 600 BP, it should offer at least 3 more features: a swappable battery, a “stay-on” power button and LED lights on all the power heads. You really should be able to see that lone sock in the darkness under the bed before it jams the revolving brush.
Brian Torobin I personally would not pay that price even with the extra features, that’s ridiculous amount of money

Not bothered about having LED lights on the power heads, but yes, a stay on power button and swappable batteries would be an improvement.

Hey would mind tell me how is your experience? Like did u face any problems (something broke)
I like that your sock color closely matches the vacuum color. 🧦

Came for the review stayed for the British accent. Greetings from Florida 🌴🌴🌴
QVC just two weeks ago, 8th February 2020, were selling the V11 Animal for £300 delivered. It was a cracking deal when compared to the £600 usual selling price. However Dyson have set the price I am willing to pay at £300, which is more than enough for something made in Malaysia.
It was the V10 model.

You can make a Velcro strap to keep it powered on.
msluvtodraw2 I put sticky tape hold button 😂

Great demo. I have three long hair cats and have been experimenting with boost but it cuts down on battery power pretty quickly. Glad to see this function explained on video. Also didn't
know about fixture on head.
I'm surprised to see the V11 already since the V10 was only released around April 2018.
Yes, a lot of people who just bought a V10 aren’t happy, but I don’t think it’s worth upgrading. It would be a good upgrade for a V8 or earlier model if people don’t mind the extra weight and bulk of the V11.
To mutch V's.........
4 months ago I was debating if I buy V8 Absolute for 400€ with extra car accessory or V10 Absolute with DOK (150€ accessory and stand kit) for 630€.
Fortunately, I went with V8. I would be so disappointed now if I would go with V10.

Chad Hill go for V8 ABSOLUTE instead the extra nic nac's .
I just purchased the V11 Animal by Dyson. It is awesome!
Great review!! Defiantly not sitting on the fence with the colour choice 😂
Comparing the Bosch unlimited vs Dyson v11 would be of interesting 🙏
My concern would be the battery. Batteries of that kind have a limited number of times they can be charged and before they reach that number the battery will also degrade in its ability to hold a charge.
You won’t find any 30 year old V11’s in working order.
The Vacuum King , I have no doubt the vacuum will last that long but lithium batteries are good for 2-3 years max, after that they will be degraded and maybe hold less than half of their charge, this will only get worse with time until the battery is kaput.
@The Vacuum King 15 years? This is why Dyson gives you that generous, what, 2 year warranty. This shows infinite confidence in their marketing crap.
Which vacuum owner you know of that owns a 30-year old vacuum and is actually in working condition?
O S , I now own a Sebo and I am quite happy with it however I bought my Dyson DC07 in 2001 and it’s still in perfect working order and appearance. I used it as my daily driver for more than 15 years.
So what makes you think the Dyson V11 battery won't last for 15 years?
I was hoping you would get your hands on one of these. Great video. Cannot wait to see a full demo of what it can do. I am curious to see more tests in eco mode, so if you could include that, then that would be brilliant. A great video as always. Thank you very much👍👍👍👍 Oh, and as for the gold colour? I was about to buy this one but went to Philips XC8049/01 speenpro max because of better battery life, versatility, led light, easier to get under sofa, easier to clean up, no need to hold that trigger. Dysons are good but they are fall behind some of their competitors. Need to do some development.

I meant being able to swap batteries during cleaning, having 2 batteries to extend the run time while using stronger suction
I agree, swappable batteries as well as a permanent power switch would be an improvement.
Good presentation.
Should test it against Dyson’s last corded model.
Just to see how much extra it’s costing you for the convenience of cordless
I so want one. Gonna get one in the summer. Brill vid.

It doesn't seem to be able to get under your cupboard in the picture nor under the chair!?
“I don’t expect your kitchen floor to be this messy “. Me : Ummmmmmmmmm errrrrrrrr. Eeeeeeeee.
Now, my questions:
1- Is it still made in Malaysia?
2- What are the watts on the main unit, 2 heads, and the mini brush?
3- How much extra weight of the main unit than your v7 main unit?
4- Last one, did you feel any differences between your v7 and this v11? Performance and noise?
Thank you..

The filter is one piece and is washed as a unit. I use my V10 on low and + and it does a good job. No idea if the US power head is better.

Does the fluffy head fits the v11? Because the new v11 doesn’t come with it here in America
I need those socks.
Good review.
The actual ones he is wearing 😬

Well I disagree-if its a choice between the gold and the rather boring Matt blue which has featured on other models-I’d definitely go for the gold

Thanks for the video Rodger. I wasn't even aware the V11 was even out...
19:12 Can't believe a £600 vac has all those scratches at the top
How much is that, $700?
Thank you for a good test of this product. I will soon be buying one with, thankfully, a blue finish :D Notes: What a cute dog
Are the screens different now as yours show eco boost and med but on Dyson website it shows the auto mode. Having trouble deciding which to get. The v10, v11 absolute or the v11 torque
It shows auto mode when the High Torque head is attached and medium when used without it.
I have a Dyson cylinder vacume and use it very often around a small home would it be a wise idea to buy a cordless Dyson
I think that’s normal the v10 had a weird noise shutting down like a gun out of Star Wars/ Star Trek
The V10 and V11 make that noise when turned off, so I assume it’s normal.
It's magnets inside to stop the motor spinning after you release the trigger. It's deliberate 🙂
i'm getting the v11 animal upgrading from the DC44 animal
Hate the gold colour. What are they thinking? Have to say there are better brands on the market for a cheaper price. Great review Roger 😀
Dyson!
"faster than I could unwind the cord": no excuses now :)
Vacuuming is like sex, you need to take your time and savour it, though a quickie is sometimes all you need.
It´s like with Smartphones. Every year a new Product. It´s ok if it has an advantage compared to the previous product. In this case: exchangeable battery.
Still love my 2016 Dyson with cord tho
From the looks of it the modules will be kept compatible and only the motor and bin will change with new versions + new heads and battery type.
We had a Dyson dc14 and it's was. broken but we got a cherry Miele
