The significance of Sir Tom Jones singing with Lonnie Donegon’s son Peter, a song which Lonnie wrote for him, weeks after losing his wife of 60 years...I’ll never fall in love again ... has probably passed over the heads of most of the viewers. It is actually a unique piece of musical history which probably cannot be equaled.

Yeah, an old artist don't need auto-tune. Well, majority of the old songs lyrics are superb, sense of melody and the voice.
And that wasn't even the song he was gonna do or instrument he was gonna play.
I cried during that performance. Made it thru the whole video until that point.... his voice and the emotion.... nothing will top that. Pure timeless talent.

They are mostly studio musicians so they are used to not getting any recognition.

The girl singing "Runnin' in The Voice Australia made me very emotional. Her father, who was her number one fan, passed away in her arms from a heart attack just before she applied for the show. He worked three jobs to support her music dreams and had always wanted her to apply for The Voice. Sapphire's mum and her sister were side of stage at her Blind Audition. The other judges all had already picked their teams, Kelly was the only one with a slot left. One after another, performer after performer, I was wondering why she didn't just pick anyone. She was looking for someone that had a bond with the song. Kelly wanted someone that sang with their heart. ❤

I disagree. He is hesitant, waits for other people to press the button. Loved his voice but he has lost it and judgment imo.
@@suziejane1008 He is waiting to hear something he wants to work with. His ear is as good as his voice and that is beyond Great.
Pay attention to who he selects and you will see what he wants to work with. The rest of the time he turns to support the singer but waits so others will have a better chance to work with them. He is a kind man too. To work with him would be a dream come true for anyone. What I find so strange is how few pick him....

I’m old so I remember Tom Jones from the 1960’s. His voice has only gained richness, color and depth through the decades.

I thought peter was gonna have a big cry as well as sir tom. Lonnie had passed in 2002. So his dad must have been the happiest angel on that day. His son done him proud. Although, when you have sir tom Jones singing with you, you can't do much wrong. His mom was crying in that room backstage. What a magical moment that just happen to happen on that day...god is good.💚

The performance was great, but the way Jennifer was looking at Tom was the thing that I was drawn to the most. Really nice to see she has so much respect for him, especially since he isn't an artist she would have ever heard on the radio growing up in America (not someone her age, at least).

Not to mention Olly as well. it's key to remember tom lost his wife two days before so you can expect why the audition is so emotional as Tom nearly cries half way through the song. You could see Olly look serious and also emotional as well as Hud. Absolutely this is my favourite duet from the show

I was binge-watching these shows tonight, couldn't sleep, and found this video. In or around 1976, I went with some of my coworkers in St. Joseph, Missouri, to see Tom Jones in person at our Civic Arena. It was packed full, but we had seats a few rows from the stage. Tom brought the house down and as one of his songs, I think he sang this one and as another, he sang "Brick House". I remember we all stood up and sang along and clapped our hands. To see and hear him again on this video brings it all back. I'm now 84, and that memory is as vivid now as it was in that concert hall. Tom's voice is as strong and almost as clear and perfect as when he was a young, popular rock star. There are just some things a fading memory won't let you forget. He was everyone's favorite. Emma Bortien's version of My Way is absolutely stunning. Sapphire Tamalemai singing Beyonce was unbelievable. Rebecca singing Lucie was out of this world. I loved seeing Pascal choked up like that, he was clearly moved. The power of music to transport you to another place and time. He got to see his work in such a beautiful light. Olga Melnyk's cover of Lovely was phenomenal. Dorota Osinska is out of this world. The judge was moved to tears. I loved how overcome Miriam Fernandez was when the judges turned. I love her voice so much. Stellar Perry is amazing. I absolutely loved Peter and Tom Jones together. Wow. JHud encouraged him. She was loving it. 80 years old and his instrument is still on fire.

I remember the first time I saw this years ago, I judged it immediately because the build up at the beginning sounded off, but I realized it was just due to having a heavy accent singing a song in english. But the second she hits the break and belts the high notes…. Flawless…
