- Definitely the definition of Mates On Tour! In this video we take out my mate Brad's 80 series that is nearly stock standard with only a few mods so far!
We have some fun in this video testing out the capabilities of a relatively stock vehicle up in the Toolangi State Forest. Watch the full episode to find out how well it performed!

18:53 I did the exact same thing. Followed the right line to the top, found out it’s a dead end. Backed up and crossed over. Gu on beadlocked 35s at 10psi with a front locker and she was still rough as guts
I made the same mistake on that right line. Took ages to safely back down to hit that main step.
Drove down that track a year and a bit ago in a fairly stock ford courier, was definitely interesting going down, let alone up
Right line up the top has caught me out before. As soon as I saw the near stock 80 start the track I started grimacing 😂
Also just saw the gouges in the tyres. Happens every time on that track - don’t take nice tyres up it
Nice truck just stockish love the head lights just got similar ones for my ln103 runner . Did you have to bash out the guards to fit those 33”’s? I’m running 31” in the desert at and I rub with 31”’s want to go up to 33” but don’t think our trucks enjoy the larger tire sizes.. 😅 Toyota life 😊
hey mate 33s on the right offset rim should fit fine. seems to be a good size for touring

Tyre pressure is the key
Front and rear lockers would be a cakewalk
Just drive a gu. 33s and unlocked can do it

Probably should've known a bit better and dumped some more air out of those tyres, wouldn't have shredded them so badly with the wheelspin. That said, shows what a standard 4wd can do in some pretty bad conditions, but my 80 with just lower pressures and a decent lift crawled up that, a little scrabbly

When around hits your bar it will smash back into your bonnet grille side panels cost you thousands,go steel mate,thick steel further out

i wanna know what psi he can get and if he keeps the block and head stock ?
i have a 1997 1hz with 11psi other then that it’s stock motor
11psi is very safe, it's not the boost that kills them, it's heat from too much fuel. Fine if it's tuned accordingly and has an EGT gauge.
That said, 1HZs will lift the head around 18psi so more than that requires head studs minimum, an intercooler and probably clutch, anything higher than 25 requires opening the motor.
since this video he's put the turbo on and its running 15psi so far so good
