Dude, you’re awesome! I just got a Cricut for Christmas, and your video was the very first I watched for learning how to do iron-ons. I love my Cricut, but I don’t love the price of their vinyl. After your video, I went out and got some Siser HTV, and it did not disappoint! Not only does EasyWeed live up to its name for ease of use, the wide variety of colors and finishes is only surpassed by its affordability. The iron-ons I did for my family’s Valentine gifts look as though I had them professionally made, and my son actually thought I had the shirts screen-printed. That’s how well the vinyl melded to the fabric! My experience with iron-ons has been a stiff, rubbery feeling from the vinyl, but the Siser HTV feels soft and seamless once applied. As an added bonus, I was able to accomplish all this with my household Rowenta iron, so I am proof that while a heat press would be a fabulous addition to my sewing/crafting room, it’s certainly not an essential item for home crafting on a small scale. I am now a die-hard Siser fan, and I sincerely appreciate your videos, as well as how succinctly you deliver the technical information. No frills, just get straight to the point and tell me how to get the job done while making me believe that I’ll actually have a good time while doing it. Many thanks to Siser for producing an exemplary product and to you for being a skilled and delightful instructor. I’ll be tuning in for more!

Very good video on how to cut and apply Easy Weed. I did just watch a video on how to APPLY and it states Easy Weed temp is between 305 -320 degrees with medium pressure.
@@SiserNorthAmerica thanx for you quick response my vinyl easyweed and Puff just arrived.. 👍 ..when using a us cutter mh 871-mk2 .. is it best to use a cutting mat for these thinner vinyls..??
hey I am having a problem with my easyweed transfers. I heat my gecko heat press to 305. and I place the design on a shirt. and I press for 30 seconds. I have clients complain that the easyweed is coming off after a wash. is there something that I need to do different??
+Aubry Freeberg Could be a number of reasons... EasyWeed applies at 305° for only 15 seconds with a medium / firm pressure. It might be that your press isn't getting enough pressure or might not actually be at 305°. You could try getting a digital infrared temperature gun (available for $20-$30) and check your press when you have it at temperature. If you have any other issues, feel free to contact our technical product specialist by visiting our site at www.siserna.com/contactus
@@SiserNorthAmerica Where can I get the type of transfer paper that only leaves the writing on the t shirt and not the rest of the paper as well ? What is the name of that type of transfer paper ? Or do I have to order my design instead ?
Hey, I am new to pressing shirts, and a few of my customers had art lift off... I know I did not preheat any of them. Would that be the only reason that would happen? Thanks!
Help me, I used an x-acto knife to cut out a design. I didn't watch any videos, and now am ready to iron my design on. I just realized I was not supposed to cut out my full design.. Is there any way I can save my design? I don't have that clear backing @ video time 2:10. I am googling siser fails =[
I know about prepressing to get Get the wrinkles and moisture out but Will it affect the htv If we do not place that vinyl on immediately after while it's still warm? It takes me a while to get the vinyl on where I want to sometimes and by then the substrate is already cold. I'm trying to figure out why this vinyl peels so often on me. (4 outa 10) I am following the direction perfectly with my k20s🤷🏻♂️. Is that just the quality of this product?
Im new to this , I got my heat press and did some tests already on a shirt. When I washed it , easweed started to lift... Im quite sure I used the right time / temp settings. So Im guessing I have to adjust pressure now. My question is, .. my heat press has a teflon sheet attached to it ( to the heat itself) .. do I need to remove this sheet? does this sheet have any influence on the applying process? seems like nobody uses this sheet in all videos I have seen
If your press has a non-stick cover sheet already on it, then you don't need to use a cover sheet. You will want to adjust your pressure though. If you have the time and temp down, then the only other thing would be the pressure. You'll want to use a medium pressure. When you close the press, you should have to pull the handle down with a moderate amount of force. You also don't want to apply too much pressure. If you really have to force the handle down, you are applying too much and the adhesive will squish out and you'll see a thin shiny line around your design. -Keith
+misschilena We do recommend recovering and heating for 2-3 seconds. This is especially useful if you want to add a slight texture (by using a non-stick cover sheet) or to dull the finish (Kraft paper).
Can you tell me how many washes Siser EW & EW Stretch will last? I am starting to switch over many of my polo embroidery clients to HTV because it looks a lot sleeker. I'm concerned about the longevity and durability on the polos. Of course, I'm including care instructions, but I'd also like to be prepared with information for how many washes it will be able to withstand. Thank you!
When properly applied, EasyWeed and EasyWeed stretch will last for more than 50 industrial washes. In most cases, properly applied graphics will outlast the garment they're applied to.
Murphy's Law Could be a number of factors. Are you using medium pressure on your press? Are you pressing for the full 10 seconds? Are you preheating? Preheating is very important as it removes all the moisture and chemicals added by the manufacturer to the shirt. If you still have issues, contact our tech support department for additional help.

I just received this yesterday and tried it lastnight. I am having a hard time. I cut it with dull side up and it work then I cut it shiny side and that didn't work. Can you please help me. I have already used a whole sheet trying to get it to work :(
+Kristy Monjaras You were right the first time, cut the dull side. Without knowing specifics like what cutter you're using, what kind of blade and how much force you're using, it's hard to tell what's going on. Visit www.siserna.com/contactus and send an email or call our Technical Product Specialist. She should be able to get you going.
Our vinyl will not work in an ink jet printer. If you are looking for print and cut vinyl, you will need to use an EcoSolvent or Solvent based printer. :)
Good morning guys. I did a shirt for someone with the easyweed stretch. When they washed the shirt the design almost came off the shirt. How do I prevent this happening?
There are questions that would have to be asked such as what temperature you used, what pressure setting, how long it was applied, what was it applied to... contact Traci.Pritchet@siserna.com and she can help you out.
+Mudman Harley That is the TS-One by Siser. I honestly don't think many of our distributors offer this press as it's easier to stock the standard red presses we carry.
+Madeline Markcum Sure. If you're handy with an X-acto blade you can achieve some cool results. You can even cut designs with scissors. The only thing to watch for when cutting with scissors, is that when you heat apply, you'll need to use your finger nail or a weeder to peel the carrier up unless you weed a border around your design.
Can you tell me what type of vinyl and application would you recommend for the nylon drawstring sports bags? I would think it would be htv, but nervous about the nylon and the heat press. Thanks!
EasyWeed Extra can be used on nylon bags. Start at a lower temperature and work your way up until you get the material to adhere and not scorch or melt the bag.
+Vickie Marley Either not enough pressure or enough heat. Make sure your press is set to the correct temperature and that you are applying the correct amount of pressure. For further information, check out our application instructions for heat transfer vinyl here> www.siserna.com/Files/2016-heat-transfer-vinyl-instructions.pdf
I cut with the shiny side up and reversed. I can't weed excess I'm trying to do a iron on. did I do it wrong??? please someone help trying to make a shirt for my birthday tomorrow
Amy - The shiny side of the material is the carrier sheet. You'll always want to cut your design backwards on the dull side of the material. This would explain the difficulties you're having. Happy birthday btw! -Keith
When applied properly, Siser materials will NOT peel off and will outlast the life of the garment... meaning that the garment will fail before the design will.
SiserNorthAmerica I used nose hair siccors because I needed a super neat bat symbol. And I used a nkrmal home iron. It took 3 hours to iron on and is kinda pealing off.
If it took longer than 30 seconds, there probably isn't any adhesive left on the design. You might have your iron turned down too low. Try increasing the iron to the cotton/linen setting.

Hi! I've seen many videos where they do a 2nd press. You don't. So, is it a must to do a 2nd press to the garment? Thanks in advance.

+SiserNorthAmerica Thank you! I use easyweed in Chile. It is hard to find it in here but it is worth it! I love it.
What type of printer can you use for this vinyl
What type of vynal is that.?
Some vynal has a white paper backing.i want the clear backing vynal.
The material is Siser EasyWeed. Vinyl with a paper backing is typically sign vinyl - sticker vinyl, for applying to wood and glass.
