Not only is Kyle one of the cleanest drummers in the game right now, but their performances altogether are just as clean and tight. Love these dudes a lot.

Not to sound like a dick but.. while he's doing perfect in Wings of Nightmares, he seems to struggle staying in time on slower beats (in the 1st part).. again I love him and Counterparts and I'm not saying I'd do better (I'm pretty far from his level actually) but if you're a drummer, you can hear it

No one can convince me that there is a more perfect record. It has everything I love. Even the cleans when they are implemented are emotional and well done. The riffs are beautiful beyond comparison, the screams are perfect, and then breakdowns. 10/10

@@dudegerry9769 It does tho. It can definitly sound more "tight" after being mixed and mastered, especially the drums cause you can also move some notes if you want. They're tight and great live don't get me wrong, but labeling this "live" is kinda pushing the term.
Max Fern this is all 100% live without editing or a click track. If I’m labeling something live I’m not editing it, I have more integrity than that. you can hear time some flubbs in this pretty easily
@@ssblind73 Hmm interesting, didn't realize you mixed and mastered. So no editing then, I definitly wouldn't accuse you of that. I'll probably get flamed for this tho, but I would still argue that mixing and mastering after the fact, or pretty much anything that can improve the audio from the moment it was played can make it sound tighter and doesn't exactly represent how it sounded when played 🤷♂️ Doesn't mean it didn't sound great when played, but you're never going to get that good a mix with a live show setting anyway.
I have grown to appreciate this band more and more. Tight af 👌

I've been consistently inspired by this 2-song set for the last 2 years. I remember where I was in life when I first saw this video. I have many times revisited this video since it was recorded, and to compare both where my guitar playing and my headspace/career/life is since then... what a 2 year journey I've been on.
