I love seeing bricky play his sister's since they're one of my favorite armies but yeah seeing his rolls makes me have bad flashbacks to my fail rolls.
Armor of contempt is such a double-edged sword for gk, Against any non-meq it's absolutely amazing, Against meq though it really neuters us as all of a sudden our power weapons get relegated to chainsword status, In some cases we would be better off with an astartes chainsword
I think most of our powerweapons are still fine even vs marines, the only one thats suffered a bit is the halberd imo and even then they only really suffer vs 2+ save types. A halberd will still put a marine from a 3+ to a 4+ wich is a net damage increase of 300%, the one extra point of ap actually does not do that much afterwards comparatively. I like the change a lot because it really feels like halberds vs swords is now a real decision, before it was halberds like 90% of the time. Also it finally made paladins viable again and for that alone I am eternally gratefull. What has suffered immensely however is our ranged output, but honestly I am even fine with that, it means less dreadknight spam. A single GMNDK is still an great imo, but after wards the choice becomes a lot more open.
Purgation squad with 4x psi weapons really is the way to go for ranged damage in this army. Empyric Amp or sanctified kill zone plus psychic onslaught makes psilencers pretty ridiculous. You can wipe some 5 man space marine squads off the board in one shooting phase even through cover with astral aim. Most GKs really benefit from closing into melee, especially with terms and strikes cause hammerhand on top of having a good number of attacks and strong melee weapons. Can also buff with sanctuary to help them survive longer and out tank them. But against squishier armies their stormbolters can put out some good damage. Contempt also helps GKs defend against a lot of other space marine ranged weapons, which makes both sides lose fewer models before melee, where GKs are pretty strong, especially with stuff like words of power litany. Leaning more into smites and other mortal wound damage options can be good for dealing with high armor save units.
The best OML thing I've seen is to use a miracle dice to overheat the combi-plasma on a retributor superior to have 4 multimeltas hitting on 2s. Second place being their S9 AP4 D6+3 inferno pistol combined with the blessing that lets them snipe characters.
Great match, tho if I am being honest, are you really playing GreyKnights if your not teleport alphastriking your dreadknight and some paladins right into the enemy frontline turn 1?
Can someone explain how Matt is casting Armored Resilience twice? I feel I missed something somewhere. I know GK have a ride for their specific brotherhood power, but I don’t know of any ability for non-brotherhood specific powers
I dont get the rep GK have for omg MW output, when a single protected sister non named character can do 16MW without any interaction. GK Libby MW unit drops his jaw. GK have no AP in general and with sisters deny, cover with 3+ and AoC are a hard counter.
I mean that character has to get into melee first, GK can spam MW at 18' and still get even more MW in melee. You can also put a libby into deepstrike to basically have a psychic assasin ready to drop down any second. Granted the canoness is still overall better then the libby because of her cost to damage ratio and the free revive, but as a whole GK easily win on MW output. Whats really scare about sisters are those fucking ret squads imo, seeing them gives me PTSD.
wouldn't it be cool if during the attack phase we got to see the special effect like laser beam or maybe bomb or something like that because for a first timer like me who just got into this game can understand the game,sorry it just my oppinion

Psychic Confluence. they can multi-cast sanctic discipline powers because of that rule, just the warp charge increases like smite after every cast
