If you notice how happy he sounds when talking to Marinette about being Ladybug he said that he wanted to confess to her the minute he found out that she was Ladybug but decided that he wanted to get to know both sides of her, which I think is a very nice thing to do, that way he can be sure of his feelings for her. If I were a superhero and if I revealed my identity to my partner I would want him to get to know both sides of me before telling me that he loves me, so I can know that it's real.

Adrinette is so cliche because the writers know that being cliche is the best route for these two adorkable individuals! XD All we need now is for the couple to sing a love duet together, and the cliche will be complete!! OwO

Everything comes to a full circle. In the second origins episode it showed that Marinette's love for Adrien started with an umbrella and finally with a confession from him and feelings returned, they are finally together and it ends with an umbrella. :) If only something like this could happen in the show.
