My great grandparents, Robert Dodds and Margaret Cousins were married in Paisley in mid 1800's my grandfather was born in The US in 1863 but siblings born in Scotland. Loved seeing this, thank you
remember the bridge before where the the piazza is now and looking down to the river , it was scary to me , some good photos , seen a pic where there were houses at dunn sq at one time

The fishmongers wiz Maitlands , the street on the left of the church was Maxwell St , and the one parallel left to that was Moncrieff St . Ah lived on baith , born in Moncrieff and flitted oer the wa' tae Maxwell . Bein' fae the toon centre it was hard tae get a gang tae take ye , ah sent in a haunfu of application forms . The Disciple gave me an interview but nae letter followed , ah couldnae speak fluent Feg .

I grew up at king street paisley. Tenement s were knocked down for new road .
Looks like the type of hustling bustling city Paisley claims to be now! Good job!!

The while area has been redeveloped with new housing and a new school replacing Mossvale and St James's
