While I kind of see it, I a number of other fans tend to associate him with a more northern Mexican or even Spanish like characteristics.
While this song feels more Costal Mexican/Central American or Caribbean feel.

Hoshii no Kaabii's English dub "Kirby Right Back At Ya". I most definitely know about it. And Meta Knight's Spanish accent. It's just that most fans associate him with cultures that are close to Mexico or Spain, not tropical Central America or the Caribbean. And this remix has heavy tropical Central American/Caribbean vibes.
He grabs every individual piece of food, stops in place, faces away from the camera, removes his mask, eats it, and puts his mask back on before proceeding.
(He somehow still wins.)
