He is a walking contradiction. The fact that he can actually sit there and say that he and his wife, the cable TV actress were not calling, inferring, or implying that the royal family was racist is absolutely ridiculous. If that is the case, why did they allow it to continue for two years, why did they accept an award for standing up to racism in the royal family? To use his own phrase….“silence is betrayal“ he is a complete hypocrite because that is exactly what he did and allowed to happen to his family if he is now saying they never thought they were racist.

So as a woman of color aka black... I'm not racist! I just find Harry and Meghan's behavior to be disgusting and abhorrent. To think that they wanted to put the book and Netflix series out while the Queen was still alive is unbelievable. I'm saddened that she is no longer with us but thankful she did have to see what they have done to her family, the monarchy, the country and the commonwealth. I just can't stand that they received tax payer money i.e. Harry received a million dollars a year as a allowance as an adult man. Millions from both his mother and great grand mother including titles and multiple homes when they were married and he whined about being cut off. Have you thought of perhaps getting a job or an education like your all of your cousins? Christ almighty ...Charles if you are reading this adopt me! I wouldn't be a traitor and as a perk I would put on a red wig, go to charity events, travel/ vacation around the world and call that work any day of the week.

Yes. The NDA may work as a deterrent to staff tempted to make a quick buck out of reporting what the Prince had to breakfast and such, but the bullying report has become a high stakes matter. I know many British citizens, including those that support the Monarchy, now want it published.

The staff could disclose 'their' truth (how I hate that woke Sharkle phrase) to the Palace, knowing that the RF would be discreet and protect them. Had the Palace released the staff's statements, they would also have released their names, leaving them wide open to lashback by the Sharkles and their adherents.

This is beyond ridiculous at this point. No fact checking at all. Harry wrote about being at Eton and some palace flunky calling to tell him that his great grandmother died. Very touching story except he forgot he was skiing with his father and William at the time. Lots of pictures and press coverage of the three of them. I could list a ton of other things but it isn't worth my time. Oprah, you were hornswoggled.
It cost 30 million ponds for their wedding that the Brittish tax payed for we should ask for it back.

@@karo1922 maybe he gives specific examples in the book, but in the interview you notice his answer is completely vague. Not one specific detail or example is mentioned. What negative stories did Camilla plant about Harry in his youth? And what proof does Harry have of this?

As a progressive Democrat and feminist, it pains me to say this, I used to be a huge Harry and Meghan fan - but not anymore. Just because our politics might align does not mean that I can't see the other side of this story. It does not mean that I can't see the victims of Ms. Markle's bullying. It does not mean that I don't see the vindictive anger and jealousy of Harry. When they were co-Presidents of the Commonwealth and went to Africa I was very much hoping to hear anything about the biggest racism in the world, the flight of African Capital - but instead, after visiting some of the most destitute women on the planet, I hear Ms. Markle say "thanks, no one has asked if I'm okay". I knew she would face discrimination - I'm no dummy. But what if the Obamas had quit after Trump started his Birtherism blather? Or Stacey Abrams quit and ran away crying about gerrymandering? Or Julian Bond, or Muhammad Ali, or Malcolm X? No, they fought with everything they had - and won. We have to admit that Markle was never the right person for the job, she was not a leader. And that's okay - I don't think she ever wanted to be. But when the palace refused to say anything about the Bullying allegations - was it because of racism? Or was it because it was true. All I know is there are victims in the wake of Harry and Meghan, some who have been repeatedly bullied and still are being bullied currently. It's surprising how much Trump and Harry and Markle have in common: when people do not worship you or believe your lies, accuse them of what you yourself are guilty of, tell the most outrageous lies you can, then double down on them, then use the False Dilemma Fallacy Argument, either you believe me or you're a racist, or a commie, or misogynist, or traitor, or hater, or woke. There are actually a lot of decent liberal Americans out here who are sick of narcissism - on both sides of the political spectrum and we are starting to call it as we see it, not because of the color of Ms. Markle's skin - but for the content of her and Harry's character.

100% agree with you; I’ve also said how much Harry & Meghan are like Donald Trump. They only want favourable press and if it’s negative press, then it’s fake press. They have their fan clubs (Maga for Trump and the Sussex Squad for Harry and Megan) who refuse to listen to the truth. They will make excuses for the bad behaviour. If the Democrat Party decide to endorse Meghan Markle for politics, then in my opinion, they will have their own version of Donald Trump to contend with.

Absolutely not. At first I was all for Meghan, I started changing how I saw her by her BEHAVIOR. Not color, that’s insulting. I found out she was mixed race way later. It started for me when she invited all these super big names to her wedding and not her family. How she preaches kindness and refused to forgive her father. The crazy amount of money she would spend on clothing. The Royals aren’t big spenders and needing to wear clothing that cost like that is so wrong when taking money from the tax payer. Preaching about climate and then taking private jets. It’s all about behavior. It’s so wrong when people can’t accept that they’re disliked for who they are. There are people of all ages all colors all backgrounds that make poor choices and are disliked because of it
@chloehugh953 The reasons you noted for disliking Meghan is unconscious bias that can morph into racism if not addressed. How do you know what control she had over who was invited to the wedding? How do you know she hasn't forgiven her father? She has worked hard for the money she earned to spend on her clothing; Diana had expensive taste in clothing too; why didn't you dislike her for this reason. The other royals champion climate awareness and have taken private jets also; why not dislike them for it? It is because of unconscious bias against her as a woman of color. Accept it, get some help, and improve yourself. And stop posting such ridiculous justifications for your biased hatred online.

The other commenter was nice enough to include great examples to why many of the criticisms against Megan don't hold up. I mean at one point people were upset at her for eating too many avocados and rubbing her pregnant belly too often.

Years ago Harry filmed himself using derogatory racist names for two of his Army buddies, but I'm sure he'd just blame that on unconscious bias. On Oprah Meghan inferred the racism. She said that there were concerns raised about how dark Archie's skin colour would be and made it seem like it was dependent on whether he be given a title. Harry contradicted her. Because the truth is that at the start of their relationship, a rumoured senior royal wondered if they had children what colour skin they'd have. No concerns about Archie, but curiosity about future children. And if Harry thinks they aren't racist, why didn't he come out and say, sorry that was misunderstood, we weren't saying that. He stayed silent which is exactly what he accuses his family of.

I think he back pedalled on the colour issue was because it was pointed out continually that all family members wonder if a child would have blue eyes, green eyes, red hair black hair etc. No-one knew she was mixed race until he said something. No-one knew who she was. He needs to get over himself.

No queues around the block to buy the book in Australia. No queues in Britain either. Some people went to the midnight openings because it was touted as an event but turned out to be a damp squib. It is a vulgar, unedifying, tawdry tale that does no favours to Harry's reputation or anybody who accepts his story without critical analysis.
Well it certainly got sold out in Kmart me Big W and across Amazon and Booktopia… so, maybe no queues initially but it did sell off the shelves soon after! You should have a read as it’s actually very well written and certainly very interesting.

Camilla has rehabilitated her image by being publicly quiet for decades. I know she started a book club in recent years, so promotes literacy, and she gets involved with domestic violence charities. Her image is that she likes a drink and a cigarette, she’s supposedly quite funny, and on public engagements she consistently seems to provide support to Charles, while also quietly having pleasant interactions with the people. That’s pretty much all that’s required of her. Harry painting her as a power-crazed villain just sounds like a headline from the 90s tabloid wars, which we’ve mostly all moved on from

Those people had their minds made up already hearing one side from second and third hand sources. I would be more concerned with the people staying silent as if they have something to hide. It didn’t have to be this way if they took action and dealt with the press and had not weaponised it all this would have stayed behind closed doors. Lucynam, my family has white, sensitive Irish skin. It´s hell covering up when all your friends are in t`shirts and shorts. Accidentally getting burned. To experience racism is different from someone learning what it is. So what he said was unconscious bias if not worked on can turn into racism and I believe some part of that is true. Well I don't know who his therapist is but it's not working! He said after he had the fight with his brother when he alleged he hit him, he said the first person he phoned was his therapist. That is so unhealthy and wouldn't be condoned amongst the counselling fraternity as healthy. It just encourages a dependency, where you don't learn to problem solve or teach yourself to self manage. In fact someone who was traumatised like he was due to death of his Mum is probably suffering from a form of PTSD called Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, which is relevant more to trauma suffered as a child. The worst thing you can do is be having talk therapy because all you are doing is reliving the trauma by keeping talking about it. How do I know? Because I have CPTSD and it took me years to work out why nothing seemed to work. I am 71 years old. It's because you have a traumatised nervous system.

There is a strange definition about ages in this whole discourse. Prince H is usually referred to as a young man. Like me he is in his late 30's. So I appreciate the distinction of being called young. But then it's always described as the "older generation" who are fed up with hearing about this in the UK. In my personal experience I haven't met anyone who wasn't born this century who isn't fed up. And that probably is because they are less likely to watch the news or pick up a paper (to be honest I don't know anyone that buys a paper these days) or watch a TV show at a specific time. They are also unlikely to buy the book. They are more likely to comment on social media mind you. What 99% of people I know care about is crippling strikes, insane energy prices, a health system at breaking point and the cost of living crisis. It's very hard to have sympathy for some who complains about their free house being too small, when it's still 62% bigger than the UK average, and were it available to buy it would be in the region of $10-14m. Because we also have a housing crisis. So much of this sounds like normal sibling jealousy, combined with an enormous amount of personal grief. And that's the point most people I know start to get uncomfortable, because it's exploiting someone vulnerable. Someone who is clearly very troubled. And that's not entertainment. It's not that we hate him or Meghan. It's that we think they will regret sharing so much. For themselves and for their children.
