A life sentence imposes an obligation on a defendant to serve 15 to 25 years in prison until the eligibility of parole. So that meth'd up guy who was killing dogs was already serving a life sentence and then some. Him saying the guy should get life was kinda just redundant at that point
I think people forget 10+ years is like a lot of time when hearing sentencing and such. Dont get me wrong some of these people deserve longer but that's still a long ass time

DNA, fingerprints, having the murder weapon, etc. is all circumstantial evidence since at least in theory there is a different explanation as to how that evidence got there.

He apparently got scammed by an online woman who he bought an engagement ring for and sent money to, and when she ghosted him, his psyche broke and led to him murdering that couple. If I remember correctly, he had a gun as well, that was meant to fire after he falls off the cliff (i can't remember the details of how it worked). Last but not least, he had a loop tied around his neck. he setup a camera on the other side of the lake or reservoir where he was and filmed the whole thing. He set himself on fire, the gun fired as he was falling and he dangled on the rope at the end. 8 different cuts doesn't mean 8 different ways of killing yourself, but that cliff dude he had at least 5 different ways at the same time.
People who hurt or kill defenseless animals are so much more dangerous than people who kill other people for a reason. I'd be so much more willing to let someone who killed with a reason out into the world than someone who kills helpless things for fun, those are the types who are most likely to reoffend.
