I envy the folks who are now flying to Florida for the fall and winter as I only got back from Florida 4 days ago. But I would like to go back. This is absolute paradise.
I CAN SEE MY HOUSE. 0:05 Just at edge of engine is Useppa Island, above that is Cabbage Key, above that is Cayo Costa. 0:45 Left is north tip of Captiva. Middle is North Captiva. Right is Cayo Costa. 1:34 Green Flash Captiva is just below dead center of screen. 2:41 At left edge of the engine is the Bay View subdivision, St. James City, Pine Island. My house is one of the specs amidst a lot of specs. I'm in the pool watching the plane fly over. Hi, I'm the one waving. 3:10 Tarpon Bay Sanibel Island is center of screen. Most all the land is Sanibel Island. 5:03 South end of Ft. Myers Beach/ Estero, above is Lovers Key State Park, above in the distance Bonita Bay. 8:24 Touchdown So when I see a plane over my house it is on the RSW ground about 6 minutes later. It would take me an hour by car. I think many of the higher planes I see are headed to Miami or Ft. Lauderdale. Thanks. Nice video. Nice Camera too.
If you lived there year round, you would hate it. It evolved into “Little Chicago”, “Little Detroit”, “Little Port-au-Prince”, “Little Republic of the Congo” and “Little Mexico” not to mention all the old rude people. Got out of there after 40 years and Tennessee is great.

It could be better, it could be worse.
But damn that ramp to get above the intersection. It was hell on earth.

Traffic for us fort myers natives tho we hate it my dad said its like mini nyc on Daniels for snowbird season
