This Sim would have been MUCH better if you started it in 80's instead of 90's. The Milwaukee Bucks didn't have a single losing season during the 80's with a team built around 4 All-stars in Terry Cummings, Ricky Pearce, Sydney Moncrief and Jack Sikma. Imagine Giannis thrown into that team? They were already great and Giannis would have made them a Dynasty!
Wow its hella hard to not at least have a season or two with injuries or other stuff throwing you off, and yet Ive literally never heard of any of these players!

My favorite way to play 2k is a fantasy draft franchise, with all players ever. Getting Giannis in round 2, and just sprinting to the basket and dunking on people for 30 points a night has been pretty effective more often than not

Derozan is mid in sim but lowry is crazy. He was better than jordan.
A suggestion would be to always fix the rotation personally before the sims to be realistic, because the 2k coaches are trash. I think this sim be better if you adjusted it first to make realistic, it makes no sense that he on the bench at the end of the game and is not first option.
I think the issue here is Giannis is making more money then most teams top two guys combined. I mean the best guy in free agency is signing for like 28 mil per year and Giannis is making 50 mil. So the Bucks cant getting any talent around him.

Yo Clique, to get the expansion teams you have to go to the rule changes screen during the offseason. One of the changes will be add expansion teams. Manually override it to yes and you get your expansion teams added

I have to think that the reason the Bulls always underperform in sims is that no one ever installs the triangle. That system was as much a key to the team's sustained success as Jordan & Pippin.
By keeping all the modern-day coaches, we're basically getting to see how old-school players would do in modern-day sets and systems, which are designed around players with a different set of skills.
It does make for an interesting thought exercise: seeing which old-school players would thrive in a modern-style NBA.
That's the problem with the whole concept of this sim - no triangle, no Jordan Rules, no clogging the paint, no illegal defense, etc etc.

What people like oakley mean is if he went into the league at the age he did, he would have been a bench player that never developed to the level he is now. You would have been better off using a stock rookie from 2k in the draft on this roster and letting the league decide where he goes. You could have set the potential to his current rating but 50 boom 50 bust... that's what you should do for challenges like this...

i don’t think there’d be such a drastic difference tbh today’s players are so much more skilled than 20-30 years ago. Shaq was dominant even in the 90s and Giannis is the closest we’ve seen to Shaq dominance wise

Also, these people suck at making rosters for one reason. They make the moves and adjustments ratings for the ROSTER but they NEVER change the COACH RATINGS! you wanna know why the fucking bulls are average at best? BILLY DONOVAN AND THE OTHER STAFF MEMBERS + PLAYBOOK + PLAYSTYLE(team not set to triangle). Why are the warriors excelling? STEVE KERR AND THE OTHER STAFF MEMBERS + PLAYBOOK + PLAYSTYLE(team set to warriors offense style from this year). They definitely don't set things like "play through star" or crash offensive boards, etc.
These are the SPECIFIC DETAILS involved in simulating, whether you're watching or not, as well as how the CPU plays you if you're playing the game or the plays available for a friend playing you with them. I swear, I'll make a standardized system for whoever wants to make rosters if they'll just change the coach ratings... its that or you gotta go through it to do it cause THATS whats making the game not sim well...

I understand and agree on guys like steph not being superstars in the 90s because of the phisicality and he would not be allowed to shoot that many 3s, embiid is injury prone, ad... but lebron giannis... Cmon...Thse guys are 6‘9" and 6‘11" and around 260..They would not win as much maybe but they can still be top guys like barkley malone...Malone got 2 mvps and got to 2 finals, lebron is his size but faster more athletic better iq better shooter passer defender..... This was dope, but I don’t know if you can change the playoff series for the 1st round to 5 games (2nd round to Finals 7 games) and changing the format from 2-2-1-1-1 to 2-3-2.
