Just another way to screw over the drivers . Their idea of a high paying order is not the same as what a rational mind would come up with . Just because you are getting $2.00 for only going .3 miles doesn't make it attractive when you had to invest half an hour to deliver it . Get two of those and you are up to $4.00 an hour - minus fuel and wear and tear on the vehicle . No Thanks !!! I would quit before joining up with these ridiculous programs - to get people to run their vehicles into the ground and do it for very little compensation overall ...

there is no way there will be enough good or high paying orders to keep everyone in the platinum level happy. It is like a revolving door or stupidity.

I will never qualify for these programs. My acceptance rate is too low, and my marketplace have the worst tippers. I refuse to take these backward orders just to get a 50% acceptance rate. These people are too cheap and too broke for this service.

When I joined DD everybody laughed at me because I was a top dasher, back in 2021. Then, on Labor Day 2022 I made more money than the best dasher in the valley, who used to laugh at me. When he found out I had made $398 on Sunday and $418 on Monday, the guy flipped. He couldn't accept I was making more money than him and became a top dasher in the same week. He works from 4:00 am until he makes $300, EVERY SINGLE DAY, seven days a week. Even when he takes a day off, which is rare, he goes to the valley at 4:00 works until 7:00 and then, takes the rest of the day off. Only if you give it a try, you'll know the difference. I personally prefer to deliver a zero tip order now and then, than siting in the parking lot. Plus, when you decline, the software takes longer to send you another order. And when you increase your ratings, the quality of your orders increase. The reason you're receiving so many bad orders is because you have such lower ratings. Believe me, I lowered my ratings about 7 or 8 times before I overcame the indignation of delivering zero tip orders.

the premiuim support usually means someone answers the call almost instantly or you get a chat support rep right away who can actually fix ya problem instead of going "well make a service ticket n get back to ya in 72 hours" Its nice. The agents tend to know what their doing at the higher tier support.

Los Angeles is divided in several areas and not all areas have the new program. For instance, Pasadena is in the new program: Santa Clarita Valley and Antelope Valley are not. *edit: when I moved from one area to another the ratings screen changed from the new to the old program, and vice-versa. Also, I personally haven't seen an order requiring a catering bag photo in almost two months, in either program. And I have very high ratings.

I Dash in Maine--mostly rural area and get high priority rating, however the pay rates are all over the place. Last night I made a delivery out into the middle of nowhere for $6.00 and while I was out there they sent me an order to drive 15 miles one way to pick up a grocery store delivery for $19.50. That kind of sounds like good money, but if you factor in the 15 mile drive to get there plus whatever mileage I had to deliver to AND it was my last order of the night which meant I would travel at least 25 miles to get back home, so I declined. Which prompted a little pop up that says if I decline it my approval rating was going to drop down to 93%; like they were trying to guilt me by not accepting it. If I hadn't of been almost on empty and in the middle of nowhere, I might have accepted it, but I hate it when they do that. I very rarely decline an order, but when they want to pay me $2.75 to drive 10 miles, I have. I still get the top-paying order offers. I have noticed an uptick in drivers in my area, so I now try to schedule as far out as they let me. Thanks for the videos--the information is helpful :)

We have it in one county in northern California. You didn't mention the rolling 100. You can wake up in the morning and if you did 30 orders 30 days ago you drop 30. Now you might be silver you can't dash now and you can't schedule in your area. Till your back up over 100. Then you have to make enough to get to 100 . Wake up loose it again. Etc etc etc alot of variables. Take a few days off your score drops eveyday.

The rolling 100 does not work like that. When you reach 100 deliveries, the next completed delivery (101) will drop the oldest delivery from your 100. The new orders replace old ones. DD does not remove blocks of orders from you like in your example. You will not wake up the day after doing 30 orders and find 30 orders removed from your stats.

It’s basically like you’re either Platinum or Silver. I’ve been Platinum for as long as the pilot has been running in LA, but when my acceptance rate dropped to 69%, you’re automatically kicked from Platinum to Silver because the difference between Gold and Platinum is either your customer rating or completion rate. So it’s cool but I don’t think platinum should drop all the way to silver just because you miss one order if your customer rating and completion rate are still at or above 4.7 and 95% respectively. But you can go online, accept like 3 orders and immediately go back to Platinum once you’re at or above 70% AR.

Im dashing at one of the first city to get this Dasher reward system. Im platinum, CA-100%, CR-49.8%.
Well, I get good catering orders here and there but still getting $4 & 7 miles kind of orders so often !! hard to keep up my AR over 70% (which I am trying hard) !!!!
i think this new Reward system is just Doordash trying us to keep picking up no tip orders period

They offer no loyalty but the company ra ra expects it? No contract negotiation means you are not a independent contractor. No gurantees of work or benefits mean you have no employee protection. Even the law doesn't allow you to organize and negotiate (because your an independent contractor 😮????)

I'm in Ohio and I don't think this applies but I have noticed slightly higher pay maybe it's cause everything a 90% for me and 5 star rating this program could be good but its really no telling till you get Hands out go out there and experience it I think for places like LA it may become tougher for those who are new or in sliver level cause the olders gold and above drivers don't want will go to sliver and new dashers which my opinion would make it harder to hit those daily goals

If your AR gets from 70% to 69% you go from platinum to silver in 1 minute.

Man who cares about AR. I’m at the lowest percentage of AR ( 8% ) and still get high pay orders. Don’t be fooled by them making you think you need a high AR to get pay more. Is just a marketing method for you to take every order.
Is all about demographic and algorithm. DD can’t control the orders you get. But you can have the algorithm on your side by staying consistent on the kind of orders you are willing to take. I only do shop and pay for DD and most of them are above $10 for short miles. Just stay consistent and beat the algorithm.

One thing I forgot to mention that I don’t really see any TH-camrs cover on, is customer ratings is so important when it comes to beating the algorithm. When a customer gives you a good rating, the system will eventually see it till a point you gonna realize you will be getting the same customers orders and it’ll allow you to build a relation with them. That’ll attract more orders to you. Is not just for DD, is for UE as well. On UE my AR is 0%-5% and my satisfaction rating is 100%. The satisfaction rating is what allows me to get big orders.

I found that being in those higher levels the bad offers increased and it was impossible to stay at the level without losing money. In the end I was masking the same as before being Platinum etc this is just another way of gaslighting us into taking the really bad orders do the math. Put on your critical thinking skills.

All Uber drivers going on strike on Feb 14th? Just saw this and curious if anyones actually taking this serious. Collective action works but only if its all of us. If not, o well, enjoy your $2/deliveries and never making any more as Uber maximizes profits for itself.

This new DD format sucks in my area Massachusetts. It caused me to quit DD. And do Spark and Uber eats full time.
It forces you to drive DD full time. The minute you take a day your 100 deliveries starts to drop. This tier system is horrible.
It also slows down the way you receive orders. I use to make top Dasher every month and made good money.
I will stick with Spark I make wayyyyy more money now.

I've been door dashing for over 2 years full time. In the beginning of this year I experminted with getting 70% just so I didn't have to schedule shifts. What a huge difference. I'm on the catering program as well. I've never seen higher paying order like this. I use to struggle making 22 to 23 an hour. Now I make 30 plus an hour. The positive is once your in the 70% range I usually don't get bad orders anymore. Yes it sucked taking bad orders to get to 70% but once I got here the money is great. I work about 60 hours a week and average 28 to 30 an hour for the entire week. You do the math...pretty good money.

Yep I've been TD since I started 6years ago and the one month I missed it by 1 percent Because of being on hold with customer care when they screw you over by CANCELING OUT YOUR ORDER while you're left on hold for them to call the restaurant and you have to sit there and keep waiting for them to click back over meanwhile orders just keep going by over and over and even when they click back over FINALLY they sit there and read that close out script then send you to their survey meanwhile orders juat keep getting missed and they hang up on you like you wanted to do them the whole d@mn time but you maintained your composure and professionalism...but since it's all just happend to you and it's now just past 12midnight meaning it's the 1st of the month now and your acceptance rate has just dwindled down from 72 percent to just 69percent!!! Oh yeah BTW...You're NO longer a Top dasher even though you ALWAYS HAVE BEEN 😅😅😢😢 wait WHAT! BuT the lady agent on the line said that all of the orders she had me missing on hold wouldn't count against me and that it's all taken care of!!!...What Do You Mean OH SO SODDY For Dat One". Wait NO! No it's Not ok since it's only 1 month and you can earn it right back in 4 weeks from now like WTF. Hello, hello...Thank you for being an EX TOP DASHER and having USED TO BE "PREMIUM SUPPORT bye bye Now!!!!😅😅😮😢😢

How F&^&ING STUPID! The Phoenix Market is the 5th largest Metropolitan area in the country, but they choose CORVALLIS, OR and YAKIMA, WA and other much smaller markets rather than those that actually have volume? Something is screwy with this crap.
