Fun fact, your character runs faster if you're wearing 'running shoes', your not wearing running shoes. You also run faster the less clothes u have on, so try again in a bathing suit and running shoes. You'll be faster!
I think you are misstaken Broughy... The Dozer is actully a very good and quick when you wheely with it! It can even compete with the top supers like the blista compact 900R and the f620!!! You should try retest it :D
Time of the day effects water level in lakes and so by a few inches I know that because one day I created a track that included a water crossing. When I tested it, it was fairly easy to make it on a bicycle without the game respawning you. Then I did a few races and one time I changed the time of the day thingy to "current" and that same water crossing was next to impossible. One of my friends spent over a fucking minute trying to complete a 4-second checkpoint!

Do the type of clothes that you wear help with traction? Do boots, sport shoes, or regular shoes increase or decrease speed. I know that if you wear heavy combat gear from the heist missions you become slow as molasses on a winters day. This is all very important information, we need to know these things Broughy!!! Good job though. I could tell that you were having a lot of fun with this video just by the sound of your voice, almost like you wanted to laugh the entire time. Keep up the great work. :-)

I demand a retest of the dozer, you clearly weren't hitting the apex on a lot of corners, and I think there were at least 2 seconds to be made up. Even though I'm sure you did like 15 laps with it Kappa Keep up the great work
Hey Broughy! Nice list, I like some of them even though they're pretty slow like the Marquis. Don't know if you've done this already, but how about a test which vehicles can still handle well enough when one or more tires are shot out? :-)
The lawn mower and golf cart used to haul ass down mount chilliad on a custom race I made. They were completely uncontrollable. You'd all die at least ten times by smashing into a rock or tree at like 120mph, and resawn back at the top. If you got air you had to land flat to keep sliding to the checkpoint at the bottom, cross train tracks without getting creamed, frogger across the highway, then slowly chug along to the finish at the edge of the beach where you ramped into the water. The spoiler patch f'd all that up though because it did something where the mower and caddy would have too much grip to slide, so that race is useless and boring now. Probably still the most fun I've ever had on GTA to this day lol. If there's anything I've made that I wish would have been R* verified, it's that one.
I actually drove Dozer from Paleto Bay to LSIA and one ingame day wasnt enough :P The dozer has incredible torque though, going on top of Mt. Chilliad is not an utopia (I also made it).
Broughy, would it make the slower vehicles get faster lap times if you did not take the racing line that you take such that fast vehicles have a larger turning radius and as a result lose less speed? For example, on foot and using the airtug/lawnmower, instead of taking a big S shape route, you can just go straight for the checkpoint using the diagonals of the street to minimize distance travelled. Since the vehicle is slow, you do not lose traction at it top speed therefore it makes more sense to take the shortest route possible.

I'm sure you can easily scrub as much as 15-20 seconds from some of these times just by doing what the vehicle can do

Love the videos, Broughy. But you never test vehicles in actual Off-Road settings. I think if you built a circuit at the Redwood Lights track and tested them there, it would offer a fair idea of off-road capability. Or build a track out in Raton Canyon. Lots of medium straights and quick corners. I think it would be interesting to find out how well vehicles perform off of the tarmac.
You still haven't tested the train! I know you can't drive it, but how much time does it take to travel the same distance as a lap of your test track on it?

The fastest 4-door car is definitely the Benefactor Schafter V12, but I'm fairly sure that the Kuruma and Sultan are OK in terms of top speed as well.
