Yes! My friend from Canada is visiting this week so I took her to Monkey Mountain, same trail as I did on the weekend. We saw two barking deer!! That was really special... apparently they're quite rare.

It was on the stair trail leading up to Yazuo. I went on Saturday when I filmed the video and didn't see any deer, but went back on Tuesday and saw two! It was MUCH less busy on Tuesday, that's probably why the deer showed up. I would recommend not going on a weekend to maximize her chances. Also, you really have to listen to the forest and watch the trees. They were difficult to spot and I only looked because I heard something rustling in the trees. Keep a close eye and you might get lucky!

So amazing video! I watched this on my Visio smart TV and feel like I am watching the travel channel! I live in Detroit for over a decade and enjoy hiking, but there is really nothing like that I can find in Michigan... Taiwan has so many great places and you presented them really really well! Awesome!
How about banpingshan, kezailiao fishing port and Ta-di mountain? These places are in Kaohsiung and nice to take a look. By the way,these places are good to visit in the afternoon . You can enjoy three different views of sunset over there.

Go to Monkey Mountain hiking and remember not to feed the monkey. Do not walk with food on your hands .Holding food in your hand will arouse the wildness of the monkeys .and it is easy to be scratched or bitten by a monkey ! Be careful !! Wish you have fun in Taiwan every day !!
Tourist please be cautious if you walk monkey mountain. Many local got lost in the mountain and there are many caves and hole. DON'T hiking alone and only use main hiking trails.

如果你想看高雄市市景，柴山三角點是最棒去處，但由於三角點接近軍方管制區，有時封鎖有時能進，三角點下的好漢亭風景也不會輸太多。西岸的少女峰則是柴山觀看台灣海峽最好的地方。
